Uma is honestly probably the closest thing to a hero the franchise has; she actually cares about saving the Isle kids AND takes active steps toward doing it; Mal doesn't care, Evie doesn't take active steps, Ben starts off doing both but begins to fall off. Uma never loses her compassion or her drive. And she earned the loyalty of a whole crew in a place where loyalty was not the norm.

Harry has an emotional attachment to his hook, he wants desperately to be like his dad so since he doesn't have one like his dad, he uses that one, it's the closest thing he has to it

Honestly China Anne McClain killed it as Uma for descendants 2 and 3 her soundtracks for this movie is A BOP 🔥🔥🔥♡🥰😊. She's also one of my fav characters in this movie 🤗. R.I.P Cameron Boyce 😔 he was also one of my fav characters in descendants 😪😞😓.

If you're wondering about the backstory of Mal and uma's friendship read escape from the island of the lost. And rise of the isle of the lost gives you some vital information before watching the 3rd. I like how this movie teaches that even if you change you still need to be honest with people. And sometimes you need to trust people from unlikely places.
