You should first remove a pin that's located under the barrel near the front of the trigger guard. Then the slide comes out easily. The pin is there to keep the slide from flying out during blow back. If you don't remove it first you risk damaging the gun.
@TacticalMagfed

Hi there, thanks for the feedback, I have advised to remove the pin in some of the comments should anyone have any problems.

Like others have stated.... just remove the pin at the the front, that allows the front under slide rail and a spring to pivot... and it comes off much MUCH easier. Also, this 100% works the same on the the Umerax S&W M&P 2.0, I have both the glock 17 gen 5 and and the M&P...and they are exactly the same, and come off the same. Not sure about the PPQ, I don't have that one. Also the pellgun oil is for their pellet guns.... its made from petroleum. Umarex recommends the RWS air chamber lube for their T4E markers, it 100% synthetic silicone and won't damage any seals and gaskets like pellgun oil will. The pellgun oil however is okay for the mechanical joints and hinges that aren't internal. DONT USE PELLGUN OIL FOR PUTTING A DROP OF OIL ONTOP OF THE CO2 CART. cheers
@TacticalMagfed
@TacticalMagfed Год назад
Thanks for the heads up on the oil. To my knowledge the Glock is the only version you can remove the slide without removing any pins. All versions can remove the slides by removing one or both pins. The PPQ needs an additional screw removed from the slide release to get the slide off 😎👍

Nice + I really like the design of the magazine. It’s just too bad it's .43 cal, which makes it a no go for me for non-lethal defense or paintball game use, however, I totally get it was designed to be authentic for LE & Military training. That said, if they offered a .50 or .68 calber version, I'd buy a couple in a heartbeat!!

Hi there, the only thing I can think might be affected over time is the slide spring. It really does get compressed when removing the slide this way. To reduce the pressure on the spring you can remove the front pin, which will probably be the method I will use in future. I agree, greasing the slide and oiling the trigger mech makes a great improvement to this great marker 👍😎

Hi mate wondering what your thoughts are on the recent changes on fps for paintball pistols having recently purchased that gen 2 glock 17 T4E I'm feeling annoyed to say the least that these pistols will not be allowed on paintball sites going forward from the 19th of January 2024 . The ruling is that any pistol putting out more than 234 fps will need to be adjusted down to or below that . As the glocks have no manual method of adjustment the law renders it banned on a paintball site.
@TacticalMagfed
@TacticalMagfed 5 месяцев назад
Hi there, yeah this definately sucks. It doesn't make any sense to me that paintball is still using a flat FPS limit for all sizes of paintballs. The sport needs to take a more accurate measurment of Joules (power) similar to Airsoft. By taking into account the weight of the projectile (paintball) the FPS of an Umarex pistol would need to be 400+ FPS to match the same joules as a .68 cal paintball from a paintball pistol. I could take my FSC to a field and shoot FSR at 243 FPS and that would effectively have 2x the Joules that a .43 cal paintball from a Umarex would have but the umarex is banned? You can get the FPS to drop on the umarex pistols, but you have to shoot off about 2 mags worth of shots. I,m not sure you could get it as low as 243 FPS though. Without knowing the weight of the paintball, you will not know for certain if you are breaking the law even if you are at the site UKPSF limit. They are the govening body here in the UK so we will have to see what they tell the field operatorsvenues.

So my glock has metal showing I accidently mounted a really too tight plate on and it left metal marks the paint gone but I think it removed some metal or dented it if I spray laint it will it look new again? The thing that keeps the slide blowbacked is starting to deteoriate in color is this normal and why does this happen??? Is it when the co2 smoke falls on the gun or something when firing?
@TacticalMagfed
@TacticalMagfed 9 месяцев назад
Hi there, it sounds like the screws/bolts used to secure the red dot could have been too long. If they supplied shorter bolts use them. Sometimes a black permanent marker can hide slide scratches. C02 can degrade seals over time, all you can do is add a drop of silicon based oil on the c02 capsule top to oil the seals during use.
@officialghostcast
@officialghostcast Год назад
Hey , the emergency mags are worth it? I mean keeping the capsules in the normal mags will wear down the seal?
@TacticalMagfed
@TacticalMagfed Год назад
Hi there, if you are needing to store it for a prolonged period and want to be able to fire it at very short notice. The emergency mags are the ones to have. They are also good secondary mags to have so you don't have any wasted co2 if you don't shoot it you don't puncture the capsule 😎👍

@charlescarper6044

There is a part I was trying to buy that you can use for real glocks where you change the barrel and you add a laser to it and you can fill it up with CO2. Basically shoot in the house laser targets for practice. I took my t4e glock apart and found out you can rage the barrel off. Unless… you know if a way or is it made that way? Also could you change the spring to make the velocity a little lower so it works for paintball fields? Mine lets me but they want me to dry fire it a few times.
@TacticalMagfed
@TacticalMagfed 2 года назад
Hi there, the outer barrel, chamber and trigger block are all one unit and cannot be stripped down as far as I can tell. The internal barrel and trigger can be removed, but I don't think that there would be any way to swap it out for a part for a real Glock. The spring is purely for the blowback action of the slide so I don't think changing it will affect the velocity. I don't understand why some sites don't get that the lighter weight of the .43 paintball even at higher FPS equals fewer joules than a .68 paintball at a lower FPS. I do the same as you and just fire off a few shots until they are happy with the FPS. Hope that helps 👍

It sounds like it is not cycling the slide back to charge the hammer? Will it shoot a second shot if you manually rack the slide? If it will shoot after manually racking the slide the blowback valve could be damaged. There is a green rubber valve (see 09:40 in the video) on the inside of the slide, if it is torn or damaged it will stop the blowback action and the slide will not rack and set the hammer for another shot. Hope that helps 👍

Hi there, I have heard of a few people having issues with t4e firing pins. How you pass chronograph? How you lower velocity to 260 fps
@TacticalMagfed
@TacticalMagfed 2 месяца назад
That's a tough one to answer. It used to be accepted that .43 cal pistols would chrono high. You can get the FPS down by firing of 10 shots or so. Some sites may still allow you to do this, but a recent event required and FPS of under 300 with a fresh co2. Some of the umarex pistols couldn't get under. There is no velocity adjustment on the umarex pistols, hope that helps 👍

@@randyjatman7792 hi there, I just found this on the T4E website sport.t4eguns.com/maintenance . It looks like they have stock for repairs, they maybe able to help you out? Hope that helps 👍😎 "The gun will not fire at all when the trigger is pulled. This is most likely a broken firing pin. (We have these as a non-inventory part for repairs)"

Show me a picture it might just be the valve pin more than likely

Do you know if it´s the same method for the non "first-edition" of this gun? I can´t get the bloody slide off ^^

Hi there, I'm not 100% sure. I think the pistol design is the same as they are all made in Germany under licence. The difference is the Glock case and back straps came with the first edition. It did take me several attempts to figure it out. Did you try removing the front pin? If you really want to get it off, removing both pins will let everything come out of the frame. But it all needs to go back correctly to ensure the trigger mechanism is connected to the hammer. Don't force anything, maybe wait until you have used it for a couple of months. That may help bed the slide spring in so it is easier?

@@TacticalMagfed I have punched out the 2 pins and changed the mag-release and that was quite easy. But the slide was on the whole thingamajig the whole time. Maybe should try just the front pin and then try to take it off. I did have a hard time getting the spring-thing between the trigger mechanism and the rest of the assembly to connect properly, took a few tries to make it being able to click properly. Hardly seemed to be connected to the polymer frame at all, not very impressed with that part of the design. ^^

@@Landelutt sounds like you had some fun 👍 you should definitely try removing just the front pin if you really want to get the slide off. Surprised it didn't come off when the internals were removed though.

@@TacticalMagfed It worked with taking off just the front-pin. Came off really easy as well. Used some wax-lubricant (RC-car grade ^^) at man it´s smooth as hell now =) Still a stiff trigger though.

I don't understand why they decided to not make it field strippable in the same way as the original. You'd think that would be part of authentic training, wouldn't it ?
@TacticalMagfed
@TacticalMagfed Год назад
Hi there, its down to how the paintball pistols has to be put together. The barrel has to be fixed, so trying to make the slide removal the same as the real pistol is not possible. I agree, would be nice to have a similar slide release like an airsoft version or real Glock.

Hi there, if you search for T4E maintenance kits you may be able to find some spares kits. In the US the training 4 Engagement website may be your best option. Hope that helps 👍😎

@@TacticalMagfedI’ve been searching but no luck so far. I even emailed Umarex. They’re saying they want proof of purchase and it has to be printed from a computer. I bought it from my local paintball shop which is very mom and pop and not that advanced. I got a written receipt on carbon paper. Guess I’m SOL.

@@TacticalMagfed I am in the US. Basically if you take the slide off and look underneath there is the “nozzle” (for lack of a better word) that I assume marries up with the one in the magazine and supplies CO2 for each shot. One of those screws actually cracked. The threads are stuck in the hole, and the head is gone. I either need the nozzle or the entire slide itself (with then nozzle included)

What materials is the gun made of inside like the barrel, firing pin, etc.?
@TacticalMagfed
@TacticalMagfed 2 года назад
Hi there, the internals are mostly aluminium. The valve pin is steel and so are some of the trigger mechanism parts. I think the internal and external barrels are aluminium. Hope that helps 👍😎

@@TacticalMagfed Many thanks for the answer. I asked because as far as I know Umarx produces cheap. Especially these types of marks. Zinc circus is the usual cheap metal that Umarex uses for blank guns or paintball markers. They went to great lengths with this marker and made the slide out of CNC machined aluminum, but the internals are still mostly cheap materials!

@@followme4350 no problem buddy! I think that the Glock trigger block looks to be chunkier that the other models I own. But the hammer and trigger arm (that releases the hammer) are all the same as previous models.
