Hey friend, this has to be the best video I've seen so far abt this gun! I'm thinking abt saving some funds to buy it, does it accept Devastator rounds or any similar ones? +1 sub!

I thought you could by a 16j model and then buy the adapter in separate to use as 40j ...but Im guessing its not ppossible?

I spoke to Umarex on the phone. They said they dont import the 40 J version themselves but there are other companies that import them to USA. which Defense innovations and Modern Combat Sports as well. I didnt ask about Novice but sounds like these get imported and only by a few select companies. With the BS happening in the Red Sea I could see this getting pushed back depending on where they import from. I have a Pre order in since Nov 2023 with Defensive Innovations so hoping they get them. They say Feb 2024 for release. So we will see.

In the US, you can legally own a *_cannon._* The 40j would out sell the others here if they made it more accessible. MCS didn't have it this morning. Ended up buying the bundle that comes with the kit. With a coupon I found it was ~$285.

Novice defence is still doing the 40j preorder. AnS stopped because umarex keeps pushing the date back for over a year.

I talked with Novice Defense and they said it could be as early as October or into November but I also talked with UmarexUSA and they said they have NO plans on bringing the 40 J into the US so I don't know what to think. i don't wanna put that on a credit card and have it get hung up for month after months due to customs or something going south either.

@@firingmarius473 of course. I've had several air weapons, and I've been playing airsoft for 6 years, so I know something, but this is something completely new to me and I'm thinking of buying it, so I'm interested. at what distance is it effective for self-defense? 10-15 meters?

No... It'll explode in the barrel from the force of the CO2.

@merluzo8269 yeah there are, but Umarex has said that at 35 Joules and up, your on your own risk wise. It also depends on the quality of the Pepperballs being used. Not all are made to the same standards, so the question is are you willing to risk it when the time comes? I know I wouldn't be willing to risk my life on it. I'll stick with kinetic rounds that I know hit hard and will drop someone on impact.
