Hiya guys, I am so impressed with your vlogs. Just a little confirmation, the thing that you ate, which is crispy and sweet, is not apricot, I assume it is Turkish pumpkin candy! And one of my fav one with tahini and nuts on top! Yum! Love from London xx
probably some of these people in this video do not live anymore and even their bodies are still not found. and most of the city is still in ruins. thanks for the empathy though neighbour.
Şehrimizi gezdiğinizi gördüğümde çok sevindim. Umarım her şeyden çok memnun kalmışsınızdır. Antakya'nın lezzetlerini gösterip memnuniyetinizi bizimle paylaştığınız için teşekkür ederim
@@Algilani Pumpkin is not grown in arab countries, what are you doing in videos about Turkey, go watch your own desert sand videos, you are worthy of it.
I love Turkey. Beautiful country and people are friendly and accommodating. Thank you for taking us there. I have a best friend in Iskenderun and asked me to visit him. I have best friend in Ankara, and I treated him as my father, one in Istanbul and one my very best friend in Fethiye.
Things to do(eat) at Antakya (other then you already showed in this video) 1. Oruk (food) 2. Museum hotel 3. Antakya döneri (food) 4. Konak Restaurant 5. Hatay Arkeoloji müzesi 6.Sarma içi (food) 7. Vakıflı köyü(an old beatiful village where you can buy homemade wine and lichor)
Hi mariane an Chris you inspired me to drive to Turkey. Now I am near izmir. It's super cold at the moment.but I'm sure it will warm up soon.all the best on your next travels.mike
The video is so astounding and enticing. I was almost going to decide to travel to Antakya all the way from Australia!!!. Sounds like an amazing place with nice people. Thanks for the video. Great work.
Can’t wait to go to Turkey to eat these new dishes. I have been following you guys for a while. The information you provide is essential for having a nice trip
Wow the food looks amazing! You should try hatay dürüm. It's a bit spicy and flavorful. It's not only available in Hatay, I'm an American living in Ankara and there are few places where they have it.
Ahh Antakya - I NEED to go to Antakya. What a beautiful historic place, and the food. Wow that künefe and tepsi kebab is to die for. Thanks for this video you’re both wonderful xxx
Sizleri ilk kez izledim ve çok beğendim birde ülkemizi tanıtıyorsunuz bu ne kadar güzel bir şey.İnanin sizin sayenizde gidemedigimiz şehirleri goruyoruz🤗👏👏

I left my native land 50 years ago. I traveled 2/3 of this planet. Every country has different charm, vibe and Beauty but Turkish Music, Hospitality and of course Food i think my favorite. As always, Thanks for the great video!
Hey hey hello guys from England! You are in my hometown so sweet 😍just wanted to share that thing you found very strange was Pumpkin Dessert/ unique to Antakya. It was pumpkin not apricot 😅As far as i remember they cook in with the quicklime and they had different technique. If you are still there, try to eat Harbiye kebab, trust me, it is at least as delicious as Adana kebab, even more delicious 😋Have nice and safe trip !!
Mmmmm you have done it again. Sitting here 🤤 and I know we don’t have anywhere near these delicious foods at hand to help lol… I love watching you eat Chris as you show so much enjoyment in what your eating, I do the same when ever we are away and I do get some funny looks from other tables 😂
I really appreciate your attitude towards new cultures and people 😊 As an true Antakian I just have to say that you unfortunately missed some great hidden gems there. İt’s the capital of Mezes and we even have an Unesco Restaurant, where the variety of Antakya’s food and pastry is introduced. Antep is also really nice, but Antakya is definitely the place to eat 😄
15:14 That's a pumpkin dessert. Actually, my home town is famous for the pumkin desert but it's quite interesting to see a different type of the dessert in Antakya during my service. The thing inside that hard layer is definitely pumpkin or a kind of squash.
Ben kireçli ya da karbonatlı suda bir iki gün bekletilip yıkandıktan ve sonra da şekerle kaynatıldıktan sonra bu şekilde sertleştiği ve bu tatlının yapıldığını biliyorum.
At 15:11..you are trying pumpkin desert. One of traditional deserts. But it should be eaten by crushed walnuts to balance the sweetness. Also in south west of Turkey it is eaten by both crushed walnuts and sesame tahini.
Orange desert you were eating was pumpkin as many people said, but what's special about the one made in Antakya they soak the pumpkin in caustic lime to give crunchiness. After that it has to be cleaned properly to not poison anyone. I tried to find caustic lime in UK but you can only get hydrated lime in UK as it's a dangerous substance. I made my friends in UK try ayran but nobody liked it, if you like ayran i can say you are on your way to becoming proper turkish 😅
That sweet staff you ate was pumpkin desert.you can have it with some walnuts and tahini oh I love it.good to see you enjoying your trip in Turkey.Have lots of fun and great food
What you eat in 15:13 minutes is actually pumpkin, cooked with very special methods and the flavor that explodes in your mouth when you eat it without biting it is crazy.
Amazing video. I and my friend Fatos are watching your videos as two Turks living in NYC. Keep up the good work and keep these videos coming. Thank you.
Love the Kunefe, however it's not supposed to be drenched with syrup. Next time put a little bit, it will taste better. Great video thanks. Turkey is the place to be.
The sweet that you ate and said it was like an apricot actually is not 😂 It's pumpkin sweet called Kabak Tatlısı in Turkish. And I'm so glad that you came to our city and found it nice. Love you 🌸💞
What a great market I would have a ball there lol but then i suppose you have to watch what you buy but oh so tempting. The food look wonderful id be very over weight by now lol thanks for everything lovely people . The drone work is great too Chris. Hope you are feeling better and get well soon M x
