Hey. I had a conversation with the people at budk/trueswords/chkadels. They are done with doing volumn discounts. So no more 15% off etc. They will do sales off individual items, and shipping. Instead they are making packages under the scratch and dent mystery lots. They will occasionally be actual scratch and dent, but mostly just different lots as we discovered, and will change the items in each, monthly. (Im guessing after the 15th of every month, as thats when kotm, sotm, and the shtf items change). Thought youd be interested. They also recently made an error in 1 of my orders (in my favor), but I wont discuss that publicly, but If your interested, contact me somehow, and ill fill you in.

Damn that sucks!! I got one for Christmas and i got 3 katanas and a fantasy sword. It was a pretty good box, wish i would got more of a selection of swords but oh well.

I got the exact same items! I filmed it but was too angry to post the vid. I think they lied to us calling it scratch and dent. And no return since its scratch and dent. Argh

TheRealCobraBurnout yeah, I was so disappointed and doubt I order another. I know we both say that but, after a couple of months order from them again. Lol. I’ve seen you do that with the $25-$100 mystery boxes.

Thanks for watching. This was the first box in over a year that I felt was a disappointment. Because everything was new and Undamaged I think this was one of the standard $50.00 sword boxes instead of the scratch and dent. Guess I will find out with the next one.

Because their scratch and dent boxes are dependent on damaged goods, bad engraving and returns it is kind of hit and miss. I’m sure they did try to at least give me equal value (retail price about $110 on what I got) but, there was nothing that interested me in this one. I may pull the droid sword apart and see how it’s constructed and maybe do a paracord wrap and a few other things to it if it’s worth the time. The blade is supposed to be high carbon steel. Which is good. It all depends on the tang construction really. If it’s a welded on rat tail tang it’s not worth doing anything with.

this box was a disappointment, it was my first scratch and dent and i dont know if i want another one, also i think it was an overstock regular 50 dollar box because i got the exact same swords you did and everything was new, really disappointed about it.

I may have to mess around with that droid. Take it apart & see if it has a full tang & if it does I might strip it, repaint the furniture & paracord wrap the handle & do a few other things to it.

I’m afraid you may be disappointed in what they are shipping out right now. I’m pretty sure that the overstocked on the regular sword mystery box and are trying to get rid of them this way.

I really had no complaints about the quality of previous boxes. After this one and the comments confirming that everyone is getting the same thing I’m probably not going to order again for a long time. If at all.

Well, my S&D mystery box got delayed from a Monday delivery to Friday, when it's in Indianapolis headed to Minneapolis - like a 6 hour drive. They also updated the box dimensions from 36x12x12 to 48x12x9. So now I'm getting excited to find out what's in it. Then, I also broke down and bought a couple super cheap swords, a Sokojihara T10 katana, and a pair of Sai's, and that too left BudK showing 36x12x12 @20.5#. May have to do an unboxing vid of my own. Have a good weekend!

MotivatedMetalworks I’d like to see what you get. You can thank fed ex for that. I’ve known them to sit on deliveries for up to a week in Indianapolis for no good reason. I was just in St.Paul last week on a business trip with the wife. We go there every March for about a week. Usually it’s Minneapolis but this year they moved their conference to St.Paul.

Usually they'll sit on stuff here in the metro (we have 3 FedEx distribution centers) if it somehow managed to make "too good" of time across country, because God knows they can't possibly deliver anything sooner than the rate you paid for... But this thing left GA on Wednesday, so Monday made perfect sense. The Friday ETA was given as soon as it arrived in Indy. Why? No effen clue!

FedEx is terrible and the local drivers here are flat out brutal with the packages. I’ve seen them kick boxes off of their vans, dump packages and 2 weeks ago their driver threw a small package from the van into my yard in the rain & just left it there.

@@VroomBox42 Monday became Friday, and Friday became Wednesday. Post office has my S&D sword box as I type this. Unfortunately, my 3 good, ok mostly better cheapies, order has also fallen victim of the Indianapolis FedEx terminal and that order went from a Thursday to Monday delivery. Grrrr. We're expecting snow at some point today, so I'm not sure how an unboxing video attempt will work, but I'll try to figure something out.

Oh man very disappointed I got the same exactly swords even I got a fantasy mystery sword and is a false age Chinese is heavy but I think the condor machete Chinese is better also the yellow sword is like loose or warble you can hear the noise and the yellow feather was loose too so no happy

I order a lot of these, but since the price the price change (i usually order 2 sets), i get the same exact items in each set. Knives, swords, etc, dont matter, once in awhile theres a change, but mostly, identical. The itens are always in stock now too, so I think they are just taking advantage of us. They just put cheap stuff together they cant get rid of now. With the occasional scratch and dent thrown in. I could be wrong though. I have a scratch and dent sword order being delivered today. Ill comment later if i get the same as in this video.

Honestly I’d like to go ahead and do it right away but I’ve seriously overspent on mystery boxes this month plus just dropped about $2500 on painting my bike and another grand on my truck. So, if I order much more right away the wife may take away my credit card. Lol. Actually she’s pretty cool with me and my toys.

Start making them now and then you can show your progress and learning curve. I don’t play but I used to build cigar box guitars and did some custom paint on a few electric guitars. Just for the fun of it. Wish I could post pics on here. I do have a Facebook page and group for the channel. Not much on them yet but I’ll be working on it and may try posting pics of my builds on there.

Ok I got the twin gladiator twin swords $16.98 the blue fury for $12.96 a skull headed sword cane with playing cards All over it can't find it on bud ks site and a us cavalry saber that is identical to the CSA saber but with U.S. markings call it 59.99 or so. All in all I was very underwhelmed by this box and I probably will never do business with budk again

I can understand how you feel. It does go in cycles with them. I’ll probably order again this fall. Looks like you fared a little better than those of us who ordered a while back (for this video). I did receive the CSA cavalry saber in a double box I ordered that FEDEX completely destroyed. Honestly, for a $40.00 wall hanger Sword Like Object it was ok. Same order I got an $89.99 Odachi and some junk.
