Very interesting unit. The idea of making a separate control unit is very smart. It will help with the thermal dissipation of the COB I believe. The overall ergonomic of the light, for my taste, is outstanding.
Yeah, you are totally right, but there are even more benefits to it than this, which is the fact that when you mount it to a stand and lift it high up, the weight of the control unit acts like a sand bag and keeps a low center of gravity providing a more stable setup.
Hello friend , Greetings from Serbia. I am thinking to buy 1 light but I cant afford it both. Should I buy forza 500 basic or forza 300 b + Soft box . I saw that Forza 500 v battery are to expensive I am not sure if forza 300 b Is chipper solution. I like Forza 300b Worm and cold color solution and you also get the remote. I am making video studio 7 meters x 4 meters , I want to use it inside for interviews and outside for documentary movies. What do you think is smarter to buy. What is your experience ? I 500 power important over 300 b ?
can hear fan noise throughout the video, only thing holding me back from nanlite products. At max output the noise is difficult to deal with. thank you for the video
You can stop the fan, although when you stop it the brightness of the light get's lowered to protect it from burning. I also think that if you use good mics you're not gonna pick that fan noise.
I have a Forza 500 and used it maybe a Dozen times in the last 8 months only in studio and yesterday I got an over heating warning and realized my fan is not working.. Have you had any of the fans die on you?
