I know you have your issues with Pit Boss but, you didn't get a good price, you stole it. I told you what I paid for mine. I've had the 3, a couple 5's and a 7. I do like my Onyx. I just did some cold smoke in it about a week and a half ago. We'll see this weekend how that turns out. My first time. More of a learning experience for me. The cooker worked really great. I may install upper and lower door latches. Operative word is may. I took the safety grid out of the hopper. easier to level the pellets . I need to get some washers and nuts for the two missing bolts to hold the handle in place as they held the grid in place. The brackets that hold the shelves are the same size as the ones in my 3. I think if you take a bracket out of your old 5 it will fit in the Onyx. I case you decide to add more shelves. In all honesty I had my 3 over 3 years before I sold it. I was able to adjust to its quirks. I have had a couple pellet grills and really like the cabinet the best. Pit Boss and their controllers are a different animal but, works for me.
