Preparing to return to the Church after a 50+ year hiatus after the hippies started singing Kumbaya on the altar in 1971. In the meantime I have started collecting TLM Missals and Books of the Holy Roman Catholic Catechism. Right now I have a Missal from 1925, another from 1950, a Book of catechism from 1920 autographed by the Archbishop of Chicago, and recently a New Catholic Bible circa 1950. Only dealing in books and teachings pre-Vatican II.
Not my favorite Missal. Actually, I gave it to a friend. Too much for 95% of traditional Catholics. I like the Angelus Press Missal or the New Marian Missal. More than I need for daily Mass and Liturgical Year. My friend loves it. I'm glad someone could use it!👍
I just got my Fr. Lasance missal a few days ago. Ordered from Biretta Books. I've used an Angelus Press missal for as long as I can remember. The Fr. Lasance will be one to keep and use occasionally, as I attend SSPX primarily.
Hi! Did you ever look up hematite? Lol! I was excited to find an original Fr Lasance New Roman Missal in very good shape. I'm preparing to return to the Latin Mass after about 58 years! I enjoyed your video.
Yes! Hahaha. Turns out its some sort of metallic rock. What a miracle to find an original Fr. Lasance! So good to hear about yet another Catholic returning to tradition! God Bless and Merry Christmas!
I will make a video soon but it’s pretty good! Been holding up well and is very helpful! Just used it today (Oct. 9th) at High Mass! I will say the gilt text on the front cover is coming off but other than that it’s awesome! As I said I’ll try to have a video coming soon!
@@StMichaelsMedia22 Thanks for the update. I am a Byzantine Catholic and occasionally attend Western Rite services. There is a Church that holds the Tridentine Mass on Wednesday and Sunday. I want a Roman Missal for that and haven't decided on what one to buy first.
@@richlopez5896 Yeah of course! Shoutout to all our brethren in the Byzantine Church and all the Eastern Churches! Take every opportunity you can get to go to the Latin Mass because its sad to see all the restrictions being put in place. As for missals, I obviously highly recommend the Fr. Lasance, but I will try to make a video soon comparing the Fr. Lasance to the Angelus Press Missal (there are some major differences) which is another great one, as well as some other popular missals.
Here are a few links. I purchased mine from the first link. www.birettabooks.com/the-new-roman-missal-fr-lasance.html www.daughtersofmarypress.com/product-page/the-new-roman-missal-father-lasance praybenedictus.com/product/the-new-roman-missal-fr-lasance/
The Latin1945. Im only interested in!! Great to know it is being printed new. Il check from where. Says online of the New Roman Missal-Father Lasance-Latin. Says in the index" Proper of the United States" What does that missal say you have? As Iam in Australia! So the proper for UK or Australia. I just saw your missal online has proper for United States.
Unboxings even on a Catholic RU-vid channel? Ewe. Fwiw.. i have a Father L. Beautiful missal and lots of good stuff in it outside is the Holy Mass and propers etc. There is a chapter on learning how to ise the missal- most useful. Way in the back- lots of great information on the liturgical year and Saints. A great missal to own.
