Here in the UK, this is £20 cheaper than the 1/10 scale Maxx. I know which one I would prefer. Great unboxing, looking forward to seeing this at Altona.
Steve Moon but the Traxxas can be optioned with a link to their app, comes with bulletproof driveshafts, a servo with ‘composite’ gears, you get to only fit their proprietary batteries, and has a super awesome pedigree of RCs that only caught fire occasionally. What isn’t to like?
These are great trucks I love the design, although 2 friends of mine have split the chassis on the rear end. But they were going too hard on them personally 👍
Hey bro i really hope you have good luck with this truck. I just saw a video with two guys driving two of these trucks brand new out of the box side by side and both trucks chassis bent in the exact same spot on both trucks totalled the chassis.
Also man could you please let me know what 17mm wheel hex hubs will fit this truck? I want to switch to 17mm hex hubs and i heard that you can switch to 17mm on this. So i ordered some generic 17mm hubs but maybe if you have time you could let me know the shaft size that goes through the hexhub so i can order the correct hubs. Thank you 👍👍👍👍👍👍
nice video mate. look forward to seeing this run. Always appreciate something a bit different.Lets hope the chassis does not bend easy like previous versions, and its a good jumper. ;)
Awesome review as always Vas! Thank you for always going super in depth and showing us every nook and cranny! That thing is really cool! Can’t wait to see some run videos! Cheers!
This is a big time beast of a MT-E, little seem to be excited for some reason but I assure you just by the way it's built it's on another level and the hell with the X-MAXX with this one
Truck is a beast, it is a little too prone to chassis damage for our liking though; we've got a video of two of them running on our channel where both suffered almost identical damages
Nice unboxing Vas, i like this truck and cant wait for the first run. Looks like a very tough truck, wife bought a used Axial Yeti xl the guy built from a kit. Servo doesnt centre well , ill put a stronger one in. Now its my turn to get another beast , this truck looks great and decent size . Thank you for showing us this beast.
Looking forward to the torture test on this. I keep waffling on this, I hated the last version of this mine was fragile. Also have the cen and don't know if there's enough of a difference to warrant me getting this. Keep up the good work vas!
Awesome freakin Unboxing my friend that truck looks beast for sure hope it can handle some good abuse been waiting on buying any new RC'S till Nov 21st but will definitely add it to my arsenal thanks for sharing happy bashing my brotha👍🤙😎😎😜😝🙈🙉🙊👊✌
Hey Vas, great Video. Can't wait for the first run vid. I think one major let back is that Hobao didn't improve or used a stronger gears in the diff, as you might know the old one used aluminium gears which is not strong enough for this truck especially after they upsized it and put bigger and heavier wheels so my guess is that this truck will be breaking diff quite often.
GREAT WORK AS ALWYS VAS!!!! Love the review as always. Hats off to Hobao with the vehicle and most importantly with the xt-90’s!!!!!! Pay attention Aarma. XT-90’s. XT-90’s. I love my aarma vehicles. But switching to xt -90’s has become a pain.
Hi I have a question, I have a "hobao hyper MT sport plus". Will I have opportunity to change the "Center Transmission" just like Plus II have center diff design?
Thank you Vas. I’ve been waiting on this review. Would love to see a size comparison between it and some of the 8th scale rigs such as the Outcast. Great vid and presentation of such a BA looking rig. 👍👊👊
I still enjoy my Rival it is an awesome truck! I think the Cen would be a good truck to compare this one too.I do like this style better than the latest plastic fantastic offerings.Really looking forward to this test because when you bash a truck and give it a thumbs up i can be sure its a winner and worth my hard earned money!
Looks awesome Vas! Beastly looking too. Big meaty wheels! The body shell seems a bit smaller for the overall size of the truck or is it just me. What's the dimensions of that body Vas?
I was just looking for the same answer in reference to the dimensions of the body bro lol I have the feeling I know exactly why you were looking for body dimensions when you were as we have been speaking about our mojave hybrid rigs which you obviously nailed on the head much quicker, with an amazing results not just once but twice and ofcourse these larger than "average" 1/8 body shells are exactly what the mojave hybrid builds make a bit more challenging due to the 1/7 chassis/custom wheelbase.... I've gotta assume thats what you were getting at but have no doubt crushed both your Mojave hybrid builds and really got alot of ppls attention with that "monster buggy" conversion as well as the rare vintage body you were able t get your hands on that fits like a glove/looks so sweet on your 8s build... great minds think alike but couldn't help but make it a point after reading your comment dude as I may be a good bit behind you and still not fully datafile with my c10 longed body ...the search continues🧐 Vas is definitely a "go to" when looking for very precise details but I didn't hear the body dimensions mentioned either...if you read this and ended up getting that info ide love to know as im not finding it easily by means of Google. Thanks Chris and Vas you both have helped me to learn and enjoy bashing much more than I would be 8f not for you both. 🍻
It looks mean 👊 How does the size compare to the Reaper. I always thought that the Reaper needed to be longer and have a higher chassis. This one looks to be tall and wide. Can't wait to see the running video 👍
Yeah otherwise with all the stress from a big jump you'll be more likely to damage shock standoffs, bend towers, break chassis braces and bend the chassis if your RC doesn't bottom out on big jumps
HPI has been bought by Vestergaard here in Denmark... Talked to the owner 2 days ago and he assured me that BIG things are coming from HPI... He said “we want to compete with the big players on the market... And we’ll give them a run for their money”... So that’ll be pretty interesting!
@@AussieRCPlayground Yea I was about to say they have been bought out too. Good signs hopefully. Part of a strong surviving community of HPI savage owners over at www.hpisavageforum.com that hope they're coming back 😂
@@TheBruster123 yes, I know HPI has been bought out and I've also heard about the "big things are coming" tagline, but the truth is that nothing is happening right now. At least here it's not, perhaps it's different in other parts of the world. There is no constant flow of cars and parts are nowhere in sight. This news of "a change is coming" or "big things are coming" is now over 6 months old and I'm yet to be convinced. I'm not saying HPI is done or not coming back, but come on already, where are they?
@@AussieRCPlayground I agree with you 100%. We're just praying for something good to come from it 😂 It's tough nowadays finding parts in Aus for my rig 😭
Great video Vas! It looks really good! I am somewhat concerned about the open bottom chassis... Doesn’t it take alot of dirt and pebbles in through there where it potentially can fuck with the servo and drivetrain? Can’t wait to see the running video of this!
Never had any issues with the previous versions having that open chassis, so I doubt this one will experience and problems either, but I guess we will know soon enough.
I have the same truck tune the diffs and swap the tires to the cen reeper tires 23mm hex the motor is undersized in the rtr 2000kv is not enough that's a motor for a buggy or a truggy the truck is to big for such a small motor I put in a 1480kv with a max6 esc not for more speed but for more power in a truck that size also the cen reeper 1450kvwould work perfectly because with the amp throw of a 2000kv it has to pull to hard to power the truck so it limits the run time
@@jackchase79 not at the moment. There's quite a few videos up already on my channel, so unless I do another RC Carnage video, I have no plans to do any more videos on it.
So i just ordered mine but the body is irritating me it's like they left the body the same size but Made the truck bigger doesn't look right to me I'm going to use a cen reeper Russian indestructible body on mine 👍👍
lee82ist Exactly There is nothing truggy about this truck. One of the few monster truck chassis available Wider and better suspension compared to Reeper I’m guessing too
