I love the idea of rough oxford. I almost went for waxy commander ones on hok last last year. Now i feel sorry i didn't but i am contemplating to hunt next year Viberg Bastion 2020 second hand so it would not make sence to have 2 of same type in my collection. I had great experience with Meermin. Shame my feet got a bit of extra lainght so i needed to restart the whole collection

The Viberg Bastion or their 145 Oxfords would be great. I've always been curious to try them out. I think Oak Street Boots makes a similar looking rugged oxford shoe too. Agree with you on Meermin- I know some people have had QC issues with them but I've never had a single problem with them. Maybe we're lucky haha

I just saw a Meermin double monk strap but without the toe cap and just solid. I see all the double monk strap by Meermin with the tow cap. So I’m wondering if that style without the toe cap is older or not as popular. These shoes I’m looking at are new, but not sure how old they are.

I think cap toes have become more popular in recent years but I don't think Meermin has stopped making non cap toe shoes. Usually they cycle through styles so if they don't have any on their website now, they will probably bring them back at some point soon

Hey, I am on the fence between the waxy kudu chelsea boot from Meermin or the craftsman RM Williams (complete different price segments i know lmao) . Do you have experience with both? The waxy kudu seems to be way darker than on the photo of the website of Meermin

Hi, unfortunately I don’t have any experience with RM Williams’ waxy kudu. Btw you probably saw this, but Meermin has 2 shades of the waxy kudu - one is Spice (lighter) and the other Snuff (darker).
