UNBOXING MY NEW HOMESCHOOL CURRICULUM!!! We just got in our new homeschool curriculum from the Good and the Beautiful and we can't wait to share what we got and some plans for our kids! #thegoodandthebeautiful #homeschool #curriculum
I’d love to see a ditl video on a homestead and homeschooling day or even a rundown on how you guys make it all work during the week. I’m a homestead in homeschooling mom of 8 for 14 years now and I still struggle with the schedule and trying to fit it all in and love to see how other big families make it all work. 💕
We homeschool year round. We take off when we go somewhere fun. Last year we took off basically every other day in June to explore springs in Florida and then to go deep sea fishing. Homeschool has been the most freeing things we have ever decided to do.
I definitely wouldn't say it incorporates scripture in the earlier years although I wish it did! I like the little bits here and there such as "God is love" but bible verses would be lovely! I think they try to stay away from any doctrine considering their LDS background (which I don't find interferes at all). I add in Masterbooks "More Than Words" for scripture and it's really cute. That said, LOVE TGTB... so solid.
LOL I want to know how much you spent for all those books? We have the math ( was not a good fit for my son) and we also have the science which is really cool. We homeschool and enjoy it BUT I wish my son would not fight about the Math so much.
I do Classical Conversations which we LOVE and it's similar in that its Classical. I've been tempted to try the Good & the Beautiful but can't bring myself to support the Mormon company
It isn't a Mormon company. The owner and creator of the company is but, speaking from experience here, I can confirm there is no Mormonism whatsoever within The Good & The Beautiful curriculum. I myself am a Christian.
SAME here. I've used some of their books before learning this but it makes me weary of what the biblical views within it may be since it's mormon created and that isn't something I agree with or want my kids being taught from Mormon views
I dumbed down the math it seems to be learned easier that way and then I make them add of food prices at the store or multiply how many food products will we need for five or six people if we make this for dinner and just don’t use a lot of the math lessons cuz I’d jump off a cliff doing that with 4 kids otherwise it doesn’t need that many words
I thought I liked this curriculum before and still do like some of them, but I recently learned it's a mormon created one. I guess nice if you're mormon but for those who are just Christian or non denom , makes me a little weary of their biblical views...
I LOVE watching this !!!!! I am a retired teacher, and a major supporter of those who choose to homeschool!!! I have watched it in segments, but I LOVE WATCHING IT !!!
@@melaniephelps1590 I am happy for you and believe me I wish them no ill and absolutely nothing against home schooling. I am just not a fan of the streaming format and the narrow view in the center of the screen. Just my opinion, not bagging on them!!
