I have three smaller Aerogardens and I'm also going through the decision process of getting an Aerogarden Farm OR a RiseGarden. I'm finding it hard to learn everything I want to know about the Rise, whereas there seems to be tons of info from Aerogarden customers. Can you tell me your experience? Really important is finding out long-term costs, as it looks like RiseGarden has multiple different nutrients for different stages of plant life, and it also looks like you have to rely on RiseGarden for seeds and pods (no ability to buy your own seeds)? The cleaning process is not described in detail (do you have to remove all parts and scrub?), and lastly, how do you fill this sucker? You have to get on the floor 1x a week and fill that tank? Sounds a bit stressful on the knees for aging folks? If you can shed light on your long-term experience with the garden, I'd REALLY appreciate it. Like you, I love the look of this garden, and it would go beautifully in my space in the kitchen. I'm just worried this one is much higher maintenance and cost in the long run. Thanks!!
I am happy to try and answer as much as I can. I am still new to Rise myself. But first I'd like to thank you for taking the time to visit my channel! So far, I have been very happy with my Rise garden. The service is prompt, friendly, and always very helpful. Regrading nutrients, I believe it is meant to take the guesswork out of how to use nutrients. I have started using Fox Farm hydroponic nutrients and so far so good. As for seeds, they have empty pods like Aerogarden where you can "grow anything". I haven't purchased them yet but I have used my own Aerogardn sponges and even Rockwool in the extra Rise pods proved using my own seeds. I haven't cleaned the garden yet but I will do so in another month or so. I will say that it will most likely be easier than the original setup. Filling the garden is very easy. It comes with a pitcher to top off the garden, although the initial fill takes longer. I hope this helps answer your questions. I have a video in the works now and will address these questions and other basics of how to manage the garden. I plan on releasing it in a week or so, so keep an eye out for it. @@kaseyhollis2371 As for nutrients, I am still using the ones that came with the unit. I also still think it all depends on what you are growing. It comes a Sprout and Thrive. Flowering plants need Bloom also so it will add to the price. I'll try to cover that as well. :-)
What did you decide on purchasing? I’m having the exact same dilemmas. Not finding much info on comparisons/reviews-own several Aerogarden units already-thinking of farm or the family Rise.
Thank you for this. The instructions that came with the unit with the plumbing were not clear for me. Note to others that the instructions online are more up to date than those that came with the unit. For example, the illustrations for the water pump assembly inside the water tank are slightly better. Still not an easy thing to attach the flexible supply lines but better.

Thank you so much! I honestly don't have a comparison based on usage but I will say that I love my smaller Aerogardens. To be fair, I simply read reviews and chatted with people in Facebook group and found a number of reviews that made me nervous to jump the gun on getting a Farm. I shot two update videos explaining why I love my Rise Garden so much so hopefully they may give you a better idea. A few other reasons are: 1) I loved the look. It was much fancier looking and fit well in my home. 2) I LOVE the app, the look and interactivity. The Farm has one but I don't think it is as indepth as Rise. 3) Assembly is not a one person job but it is pretty easy once you get all of the pieces and instructions set. I have heard the opposite about the Farm. 4) I think the biggest thing I like is the tech support and customer service. They are prompt, helpful and very friendly. They also have a wonderful Facebook community and regular live video updates where you can ask questions and learn more about the product. Full disclosure, I did have an issue with my water sensor but they quickly replaced it and were helpful with installation. I hope this helps 😊
