Thank you for visiting my channel! I'm Becky, The Mocha Foodie Gardner!
I love food and I love gardening so I created this channel to share my favorite recipes that are easy to make and are super yummy! I am also excited to share my passion for gardening fruits and veggies year-round. Over the years, I have gained a number of tips and tricks that help me successfully grow a small scale garden (indoors and out).
Great question!! To my knowledge, they only grow once. But I do believe depending on the type of see, like peas, they won't. If they do, I think it will be sparse. You gave me a nice challenge! I will try it and post a video 🙌🏾😊😊 Stay tuned!
I really love the Aspara Garden! It’s really beautiful and such an awesome home garden! Great size! Grows so many plants and flowers 🌺 Thanks for sharing your experiences 😊 🌿🌱🪴
So WONDERFUL to hear! I am so excited about this garden. I've only recently be introduced to it (just over a month) and I've been VERY impressed so far. I can't wait to share more :-D Thanks for watching! Happy Gardening!
How does it work when you're growing something like a tomato plant that needs the blossom nutrient, but none of the other plants in your system need it? Do you still add it and it doesn't hurt the other plants?
Sorry for the late reply! Nope, Blossom doesn't hurt it at all. The app is a "smart app," so it knows exactly how much you need to add. Essentially, they pretty much have all of the same nutrients (potassium, nitrogen, and phosphorus), just different levels in each.
It was simple when grown hydroponically. You just have to be diligent when it comes to hand pollinating indoors. Unfortunately, where I, the animals would devour them before I could harvest them.
Thank you!! I'm glad you found it helpful 🙂 I haven't tried lettuce grow but I have used Click and Grow and I started with Aerogarden. I personally prefer Rise because of the size, the look and most importantly the app.
The only time I notice them is if I have something else growing near by. I've used the lights to grow mini potted plants or when I played around with other seeds in mini pots, I did get fungus gnats. I found that it was only when I used coco coir. Otherwise, I've never had an issue. I have heard of a few people who got aphids or spider mites but again, I think it is what you have around the garden.

Be sure to keep it clean and quarantine new plants before bringing them in the house near the garden.
Congrats on adding your third level!. I'm really interested in seeing how you decide to plant your Rise garden for winter production. I'm off to keep watching your videos.
Thank you so much for watching! :-D I honestly plant a little bit of everything that I can think of! If you ever have any ideas or want to see how things grow for me, I'm happy to do so :-D Happy Gardening!
When you’re harvesting do you pull the entire plant from the root or do you just take off how ever many leaves or vegetables you want, while leaving the root?
It all depends on what it is. I typically pull the entire plant, root and all. Although, keep in mind that the roots can get pretty massive and difficult to remove.
I just found your channel and love your content! Congrats on your channel growth 🎉 I see you’re at over 900 now and in this video you’d just h it 200. Can’t wait to watch more of your content!!
Love these little guys! My daughter introduced me to them but couldn't find any in my area so I I'm trying to grow from seed. My question is....once you have a mature plant, can you havest seeds for the next year??
Awesome video Sister. Love the microgreens. I love my Aerogarden too. Keep them coming. This is just an observation. Try to omit saying “um” all the time. Love your information and how you deliver it. 😊
So happy to have found your site...we just bought a rise garden. Thanks! Will be watching all of them. Excited about the greens in the personal garden too
Awesome! Welcome to the Rise family 🙌🏾💕 I truly love my unit as you can see 😊 I hope you enjoy it and if you ever want me to cover anything that I haven't already done, be sure to send me a message and I will make a video. Thanks for watching and happy gardening 🙌🏾
I think it depends on how you have the hose. There are times I hear the water trickle and it drives me crazy. I find that it usually happens after I clean the unit. I simply move the nozzle (the one at the top that feeds the water down) in a direction that doesn't drip towards the basin. It's hard to explain but I basically readjust the flow and it stops. I also strongly suggest keeping an eye out for your water levels. It could cause your pump to not only damage but air bubbles can get caught and the hum is annoying. You can either swirl the pump in the water or I have a video that walks you through fixing your pump when it doesn't work. That will clear the bubbles as well. Otherwise, I find that the sounds are unnoticeable. I hope that helps!
No need to get out the toothpick... that pod holder comes apart for easy cleaning. I would not recommend tap water under any circumstances for my body or my Aerogarden... full of nasty chemicals and contaminants.
Yes, that’s an extra plug for the drain hole. I got one of these last year. I love it! The small footprint makes it easy to put almost anywhere. The only thing I wish was better is the water level indicator. But it’s not just with this one. I much prefer indicator lights to tell me it needs water. I find it difficult to see the levels in this one and some of my IDOOs. But it is a great unit.
