From 1962 to 1974 I think the most kick-ass American muscle rides were made. The Plymouth Barracuda is one of my favorites. These are a bit harder to find nowadays, but man, do they look excellent! I already reviewed a couple of 1968 releases, so here we'll take a look at this lovely '69 release.
Plymouth designs, especially their front fascias, have always fascinated me. But their overall design is just aces... in my opinion.
Check the review to see if I like it and how I rated it. (or you can of course "cheat" and go to the end to see my Summary lol)

Another cool ride!! Barra/'cudas are one of my favorites, easily TOP 5 🤘😆 Plymouth really nailed all 3 generations. They stopped being made a half a century ago, but I still think about them a lot and wish to have one in real life. Crazy how much of an impact the muscle cars era still has in this day and age. Or I am just a big dreamer 🥰

We are probably both dreamers! That doesn't mean it's bad lol. Barracudas are superb! Expect a couple of more Cuda reviews in the future!

Beautiful model 👍🏻 that makes me so mad when you get a beautiful model and a piece is broken off or even missing. 1967 Barracuda’s were great muscle cars 👍🏻 great video

Yeah. Have had a bit of bad luck lately lol. But this is such a cool one that this broken piece seems like a minor bump on the road. Thanks!

Brilliant car! I love a '69 Barra and mainly the 440 M-code like this one. Awesome color combination👌♥

Been looking for this model for some time now. Well done for finding one. Would sit well beside the 1968 Bullitt GT Mustang: two dark green fastback pony cars with big blocks. I like the patterned (perforated?) roof lining and the safety belts hanging off it. Those dog dish hubcaps are great too. Good review, as always.

Yeah, great quality for sure. The 68 Mustang is definitely nice. I actually seen a few on sale but never bit. Don't think I have a 68 in the collection, need to check, but might add. Thanks!

That's a nice one. Great review, hope you can fix that bumper. I have the red 69 Cuda 440 and the blue 69 Cuda 340 with blue interior and the recall wheels. They are both beautiful. I've had them both for years and never noticed that you can pull down the panel opening up the area under the window. DOH! Highway 61 did a great job on this mold. Got the Paul Rossi 68 Hemi SS/AA from Desktop Musclecars recently and it looks great. The Arlen Vanke is on pre-order from Acme and the John Hagen from Supercar Collectibles. Dunno if you are into the drag cars. For me they are like potato chips and I have a proliferation of liveried Hemi Barracudas and Darts.

Loool. I'm actually not into drag cars and/or too many liveries but man, Cudas look soooo good! I need to check out Desktop Musclecars and see what they have.

G'day Buddy, Just as recent as a month I bought this exact diecast. Pity about the front bumper yeah I have had a bit of bad luck damage wise getting diecast shipped to Australia 🇦🇺. Thanks for showing me the spare tyre. My one is still in the box but it does look awesome hope you get the bumper sorted. These Highway 61 series are starting to get expensive. Great video thoroughly enjoyed it. Cheers Louis Kats 👍

Again a beautiful model. I love the little history of the car on the back of the packaging. OH NO - so sad with the broken bumper. I hope, that you could fix this problem. If I could find a seller for this model here in Germany I also would buy this model. It would fit good to my 1969 Plymouth Barracuda "street fighter" from ACME. Cool detail with the wheel in the trunk and all the details on the interior + a working driveshaft (awesome !!!)

I like when boxes come with a bit of car history! And yeah, these are pretty hard to come by Sadly. Your best bet is going through ebay 😫🤷🏽. Highway 61 produced great models so if you can find a couple of them at decent prices, they are definitely worth it.

@@DiecastNewb A little bit of car history is always a nice touch to detail. My English is also good enough to read and understand 😀 Okay, I thought it is only a problem for me here in Germany to get Highway 61 car models. Until now I don't find this Highway 61 Barracuda to buy. So far ACME, Highway 61 and Greenlight muscle car models are really nice. Today I received an e-mail: My ACME Dodge Challenger T/A 340 is on his way to me 👍🙂

Old Highway 61 models are difficult to get, that's why I always keep an eye out on ebay. But prices have and are increasing so be aware of that.

@@DiecastNewb Now I am back from my working day. Oh yes. Sad but true. Is this Highway61 Barracuda model here a little bit older? Here in Germany I can't find this one. This 1:18 GMP Dodge Coronet SuperBee in Plum Crazy is now expensive as hell. I can get this model (new) now for about 450 euros . Yesterday I bought now the new 1:18 GMP Dodge Coronet SuperBee in Go Mango orange before this model is also sold out and the prices start increase. Happy enough I ordered one yesterday 👍. Thanks, you helped me so far a lot 🙂

@@chrisflorian4308 yes, this HW61 model is very old. Probably 15+ years old!!! 😲 That's why you will only find it in ebay or places like that. And I love how the "GMP" Coronets turned out. They have a few issues but they are great looking and fully featured. 😊
