Same! Not sure I'll paint the prototype (I might, and I used to do painting guides so may even do some videos!!) but I'll 100% paint the final!

This reminds me of the board game based on the tv show Firefly. Very cool and quite detailed it’s hard to imagine how much work went into this.

I can't wait! Is it a sandbox type game with lots of different ways to win or more of a destroy your opponents type game? I've only ever played one good sandbox boardgame, and that was "Western Legends". My family has had a lot of fun with that one.

You get Victory Points for combat, for completing Missions, you can even Manufacture VP. Our winner last night didn't even touch combat 😂

Not in the base game. Your miners are represented by you claiming a system with asteroid belts (there are also cards) but I would love to see an expansion with ORE minis

I just noticed there is no haulers? I hope this will be an add on. Pick and deliver or something like this. Hauling is a valid profession in eve. Pick up and deliver is a common board game mechanic. Shocked it’s not in the game? Need me an obelisk mini lol

Is it a hard game to learn? Is the rule book easy to understand?

Well, we've managed to play several games with a "rulebook" that is just the jumbled up text boxes that go into the rulebook and no pictures. We're seasoned board gamers though, but the game ramps nicely. Your first few turns only have a few actions actually possible so you're eased into the different mechanics just by the game itself.

Oh Amazing. Love to hear that. If you had to score the difficulty of this game from 1 being the easiest and 5 be hard what number would you give it. Not a fan of a game that requires me days to read/understand the rules before a play. so i am hoping this will be a easy one to jump into :)@@captainbenzie

@@OldManb1981 it's hard to guage. I wouldn't play it with my parents (who do play games like Cascadia, Carcassonne, etc) but for our boardgaming group it was much easier than other games. It's also not too long

If you could compare this board game to another board game or mechanic what game could you say it feels like?

@@OldManb1981 very difficult and long question. Feel wise, it's Twilight Imperium, but plays in a MUCH shorter time and has a slightly stronger emphasis on combat. It's also much easier to learn.
