Yes my kickstarter package arrived yesterday - the quality is outstanding and Kelsie and the Arcane Library have done awesome. Really hope the system does well - because it deserves to - it is gem classic of the genre.
I totally agree. Kelsey has laid some really special groundwork for the rest of the community to build upon. I'm excited to see where the next few years takes us!
Blacks apear to be just black ink. Darker blacks are produced with colors added (c,m,y) to create a " rich black". Thanks for showing us the collection
I think those monster cards would work great with a plastic easel, like the ones used for collectible cards or for booth displays at events, have the image facing the players, stats facing the GM.
I love so much of Shadowdark but I've been spoiled on Free League bindings and always feel a slight sting of disappointment with glue-binding. But otherwise I think this is a fantastic product.
I have not opened mine yet. Too much going on currently I want to commit "serious" time to my first look. I had already had all the pdfs comb-bound for tactile reference material so I'll continue to use those (and make more) to avoid damage from Cheetos-covered players fingers (as PDM likes to say). The premium copy looks great. I think one day I mght get cloth or hyde dusk jackets made with just the game logo/symbols for the spines. Then set aside a darker part of the my bookcase for such books. Just to add to the illusion of their "Arcanity" if that is a word.
@@NightNoonGames Wow! That sounds old timey. Paper bags, for book covers, really. Gotcha. I remember those days when you had to cover your textbooks or get in "trouble." How times have changed. Were a more entreprenuerial sort, I might find a vendor to make such custom and premium book covers to sell. Heck, someone is probably already doing it. I just really want build my own dream library/study based on the one from Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. I do enjoy solvnig problems and mysteries.
