THanks that was helpful, nice to get a non glossy real review. I was interested in what it was like to drink from the cup with the lid off. You did do that and seemed happy... ...wondered what that metal rim is like for that...

It was one of my first videos, but I love my cup to bits, I wish I had shown tea in it, for the steam. Just don't rush to drink after 2 hours unopened, because it will most likely be boiling hot.

Metal base, the same as the sides. But you throw it or stand it any way, because it doesn't leak

The hook is for those tea bags or home tea sacks on a string, if you want to just use boiled water and brew your drink at a later point.

Mine after 6 years if you turn it on its side leaks a tiny bit, i should buy a new one really, but as i try and show as long as its done correctly it doesnt leak
