I feel like in order to be considered the GOAT, you have to have the best resume of your era AND be the clear cut best player too. Like for example Bill Russell has the best resume of his era but Wilt Chamberlain was the better player imo so neither of them can be considered the GOAT. Kareem stood above everyone else in his era, Magic did as well, Jordan did and Lebron. To me these are the only guys who have clear cases as the GOAT because all of them were the best player during their prime for consecutive years and had the most MVPs + finals MVPs + rings in their era too. I feel like that makes the most sense to me. This is why I can't have Curry as the GOAT because he's not even the best player or has the best resume of his era, that belongs to Lebron so how can he be the GOAT?
