Yeah the first vid I saw was him playing punk and it made me wanna play that deck and it has been my favorite deck since that vid in the modern era of yugioh
Back in the DL days he was soooo entertaining, when "Back to fortnite!!!", "Flame on!!!" etc. came to be. I still enjoy his videos very much, but I still miss that.
Every time this guy talks, I'm always thinking he could be #1 Worlds if he really wanted. He goes through every known options and comes up with some of his own from time to time.
He could’ve been, but he explains at the top you really start to need a team . It’s very hard being one part collector one part duelist. To get the top cards in a deck and to play test is harder and harder without a consistent group. In his case he said it was getting strange being older and playing with teens. Finding, Trading and buying cards to build a deck started to be gruesome too.
Oh man, unchained really is the best deck that no one plays. I've had zero mirror matches with unchained for months. Feel like Dkayed putting it on blast right here will change that lol
@xBonafidexProdigy yea I'd probably say I'm at 90% win rate in games where I don't get maxx c'ed turn 1. Even if you get board wiped if they can't kill you on that turn there's so much follow up
Dkayed playing in Master V: Opponents have 0 handtraps, misplay, scoop after a single negate Me playing in Plat IV: Every top tier sweaty deck with a custom hand that has the exact out to every card I play
fr, I really wanted to see him play against strong/lucky opponents but most of the games were him winning the coin toss and his opponents having no hand traps.
2 things I wanna say about Dkayeds decisions. There is still an option to play through Nib even if you start with Shavara as your summon of the first S/T and that is with Disaster. So as a one of Disaster is a strong pick. Also the board Dkayed aims to build in this video loses hard to board breakers which isn’t the case if you play Shavara first (as you can actually pop Rage with Shayama and add back Shavara). With the first negate of Caesar you set one card and pop it with Shavara to trigger Yama to revive Rage and summon Abom soul. Secondly I would advise you to consider Wailing as a one of so you don’t run out of targets for your Unchained summons (also a 4th name to pop can actually be beneficial if you run Disaster). Otherwise great video as always!
I missed those kind of content. You are a great caster but I loved seeing some stream dedicated to test new deck and made your best to propose the best decklist you could find. Even if it needed a lot of testing include some goofy strategy. It was funny, entertaining and a good way to learn the game. I'll never forget your catchphrase : This deck is Top Tier ! ...In my hand !
It's always funny to me when Konami TCG freaks out, releasing emergency banlist when old archetype is getting new support (ex: Unchained, SHS) and became meta, but slow like sloth when a new meta archetype like Snake Eyes razing for months.
Heavy focus on short term profits will do that to you. Mega archetypes that get new support for years are "unsafe" to hit because then they'll look stupid when the OCG adds new cards for them after they've been nerfed to oblivion and everyone's scared to grab those new cards or disinterested in bringing new life to a "killed" archetype. Yet that's also technically what they're doing every time they hit an older archetype one format after it gets its new support, but because they only need to worry about those cards coming from one set it's not deemed as "impactful" to future sets.
Starting in solo mode to explain and showcase the deck for a couple mins is perfect for these types of vids. I watch your tournament stuff occasionally, but the live duels and replays you do are way better imo. The "why you should play" series was great, wish there was more. No need to edit those, your commentary is always entertaining. Watching you play something always gets me interested in the deck. I'll 100% subscribe if my feed is more of that lol. I think that type of content is better for youtube, general MD coverage and tourney stuff is more fun when it's like a twitch variety stream type thing. People search YT vids more for like specific decks, not general MD stuff. Just do a bunch of these vids with different decks, people will click the sheet out of it. No need to edit, you're fun to watch. Anyway, just my two cents, ty for your service o7
I wish I could win in diamond with one ash every time when I go second :D , not even master rank ... i think this was just a luck streak with coinflips and shit opponents when going second
Videos like this were the reason i started watching your videos from duel links, its nice to see the true Dkayed again. This is more fun than the tournaments, more fun and more information.
19:35 ok guys, if you get evenly'd in this situation, you activate escape, targeting your soul of rage and another set card you controll except Ceasar and pop, then banish everything except ceasar. New Cl, cl 1 yama target rage cl 2 rage add back anything. They just traded their evenly and battlephase and you are still bing chilling on rage + 2 summon negates + handtraps
Been spending the last hour learning Unchained and it is AMAZING. It's so much fun. I love that it's a non-linear deck, so there's a lot of different ways to play these cards. Truly a deck that you can make plays with. I see why you made a video with it. Great video
You should tryout Live Twin Unchained, even without any one card combos you will have many ways around ash and can easily make an end board with Chaos Angel, Soul of Rage, Ceaser, Nightmare gryphon and Evil twins sunny plus an unchained trap with burn damage from the Live twin spell
28:54 Ash Blossom is wearing some Jimmy Choo's, 20K on just her feet. I would never spend on a reprint or new animation after already owning the card. You gotta be like Smiggle, gems are precious
I played it last month but unfortunately it doesn't have the power level to reach Masters 1. I' m stuck at Master 4 with it until I switched to Salad. It's too weak against Spells and Traps.
What ever happened to monster cards just being monsters and magic/trap cards being just that. Thirty steps just to place one card on the field if you want to win or place one card on the field and get stumped by the first guy.
Unchained is still decent. The main issues it has are that it has to special summon a few times to get to any of its big plays, and that it often doesn't end a game in 1 turn if the opponent decides not to scoop, so it's not the best deck for impatient players. Yeah there's also the fact that you usually need 2 cards to get things done, but in most cases they can be ANY 2 cards.
Your player IQ is crazy, great showcase of the deck, I’m a relatively new player and this deck seems too complex for me to play atm, It looks very easy to get lost lol
Dkayed at his best, love the format, keep it coming. Tournament streams are good for learning meta decks, but playtesting is good for getting into new interesting decks. Maybe commenting on top 8+ is enough and gives you more time to play and enjoy the game.
11:55 I take it that the same is true of IP: Masquerena? I ask because I tried to use the effect to summon a Little Knight with a Tear monster and it didn't trigger to fuse in the graveyard.
Reminder for everyone who wants to play this deck after seeing this, he didnt get maxx c'd once and had pretty good hands when going first and second So dont get mad at dkayed when you dont go 15 wins in a row with it 🏃💨
Greatplay DK.. Really love this 1 hour play through.. And more since you play 1 of my favorite decks. Unchained and Labrynth. Maybe you want to be a madman and play labrynth next. I have many versions covered in my channel.
I haven't played MD for a while and this video inspired me to get back into it. I have an existing Unchained deck so I only needed to craft a few UR cards. I loaded intro my first dual in a while, Rookie II. Lose the coin toss, opponent sets 3 and ends turn, during the stand by phase he flipped TCBOO. Hot start.
I appreciate all these play test videos, as they're both entertaining and educational. Also, this series shows how essential knowing how to read your opponent activation windows is, as most people won't toggle off purposefully to deceive you.
