I can't stress enough how incredible of a content this is. This has given me so much of information I didn't know I wanted to know from the development that no "Making of" video could achieve. Thank you.
@@peropoplava1933 I'd say Nate swinging on a high-voltage wire around a building to smash straight through a window, surviving a fall from a ~50 m tall cliff after almost being shot _for the 1000th time,_ or destroying a heavily armored truck with an UZI are much less likely.
Crazy how much the car chase at 10:10 changed along with other missions and areas. Going through a house would’ve been cool but I see why they cut it from the full game.
2:08 dude that would have been so cool and would have added variety to the convoy 3:03 wtf Is that supposed to happen? Nate falling? 4:14 that actually happens in the map Pirate Colony 7:00 Am I the only one who finds that hilarious? 8:51 HOLY SHIT THAT'S AMAZING that would have made the convoy EVEN better And 9:46 would have made such a Nathan Drake moment Also taking control of the truck was also badass But I like the actual final chase better. No motorcycles. No imposible inside motor bike driving. No Para .45, just a 1v1 or 1v2 12:16 Got you now bastar... Nathan? Holy shit, watcha doing here bro? How's the wife?
on minute 3:03 probably it's a test on crowd reactions to Nate's driving in Madagascar combined with some prototype of driving while halfway inside the vehicle
Thekempy yes but her version was scrapped In April 2014. There’s very early concept art showing this exact truck dating back to 2013. I believe they attempted to incorporate it into the final game but later cut it in favor of the city chase we have now.
Obi-Wan Kenobi to Nathan Drake: Your clones are very impressive, you must be very proud of them. On a more serious note, this was very interesting to watch. One thing I'm curious about though, are enemies able to jump onto your vehicle in the final version or was that scrapped? I don't remember there being in that situation and I'm not sure if I simply forgot or if it was unused/removed.
0:20 is actually still kind of in the game. There's no place where a ragdoll tumbles down stairs, but the ragdolls still freeze in their death pose until they stop moving. Really noticeable if you shoot someone off a high place and watch their body, they'll be completely frozen in the last frame of their death animation until they hit the ground. Too bad they didn't actually USE this feature and just kind of lazily left it in the game for no reason.
There's a track that starts at 18:00 that I've looked for before but doesn't seem to exist on the official soundtrack. It's during the dock scene at the end of the game, and there's another really nice piece at the beginning of it too that doesn't exist anywhere else. How did you manage to find it?
Most of these clips seem to be more or less around the e3 trailer, just how much did they do in the last months leading up to the games launch? nd is known for crunch but i cant say ive heard much about crunch when it comes to uncharted 4
