You LA old timers have the best cop stories. Had the chance to take some classes from LAPD and LACSO cops from the 80s. Had us in stitches. Worked with an old LAPD cop from the 70s. Backed me up on a pursuit and a shooting, I missed sorry. I was relieved he was my backup. You guys rock.
Very entertaining video ! Sir, You were most likely in Oro Grande. An un-incorporated area immediately north of Victorville CA. There is a large cement plant that would pass for a power station and railroad trestle adjacent to the plant. There is a small private air-strip adjacent to the SB15 FWY. All of this within a one mile radius
I love hearing cop stories. That many members of LAPD SWAT got their comeuppance from a reserve deputy in the boonies is fantastic. More, please, soonest.
I don't know why this story made me think of this, but does anyone remember the NY State Prison inmates who escaped a couple years ago, aided by a female Correctional Officer? They even made a tv show about it. Anywho, every Cop and his Reserve Officer cousin went to look for these guys and guess who found them? A Border Patrol Tactical Team! The suspects were hiding in the woods but the wilderness is the BP's backyard! The right team for the right environment! Lol
Simplex works anywhere. You can take your Motorola MX 350s (then, they're Sabers now) and jump out of a plane in Antarctica and you'll have direct comms. This comment will be deleted just like my last one, putting Jablonski at Rampart in '79/'79 rather than Wilshire.
