Thanks for this video, sadly I know of some Muslims who get the story of these two angels confused because of the non-Quranic mentions of them. Please share this and other videos that clarify this. Angels cannot disobey Allah

Sir its very clear in the Ayat 102 that Haroot and Maroot were sent to test the people whether people go for whatever was revealed to those angels. Because those angels warned them explicitly that this thing is Kufr.

2:102 Quran: And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, "We are a trial, so do not disbelieve [by practicing magic]." And [yet] they learn from them that by which they cause separation between a man and his wife. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah . And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. But the Children of Israel certainly knew that whoever purchased the magic would not have in the Hereafter any share. And wretched is that for which they sold themselves, if they only knew.

Although I am not that knowlegable but I know tafsir books have lots of narrations of all kinds. Imam altabri's tafsir if the isand is mentioned but the classification isn't stated then it is left for muhqqin(authenticators to verify it). If imam altabri made his classification as muhadith , then you can say he said that and weigh his classification to science of hadith(knowledge about narrators..). To simplify it , tafsir books contain hadith but they aren't hadith books nor each hadith mentioned is authentic rather like tafsir of imam albaghwi is heavily criticized because it contains some lied hadiths..

Salam the Arabic word ملك doesn't necessarily mean angel. Same word already mentioned on other verses of Quran and it means a human of high status.

The ayah means something like this(not exact): The angels said to people of Babylon that they were nothing more than tests from Allah to these people and learning what they knew would mean giving up any rights of their afterlife. The angels explicitly stated this one fact that what they were going to teach was going against the belief of Allah but the people still learned. It's also stated that the angels never taught anyone anything unless they themselves came to learn and thus effectively failing the test. In retrospect they gained forbidden knowledge but at the steep price of sacrificing their after lifes. These people basically traded permanent advantage, harmony and everything good and better for temporary powerup. Thus they paid a steep price.

Also every form/type of magic and whatnot has it's roots in Babylon. Also there's no such thing as white or good magic. Magic is basically selling yourselves to Satan and becoming his slaves thus evil things and practices are done during learning magic effectively making it evil. Magic is one of those things whose very nature stems from evil so no matter what one did or said it's evil and that's that.

This is a straight forward ayat we interpreted incorrectly because we took out of context. When, where and why we're the angels. When is during Idis/ Enoch time Adam as time. Adam had inate knowledge of everything evidence when God introduced him to the angels. Where is Babylon the first civilization,the first gathering of all human after Adam who has died with the knowledge. Why is mankind was in need of these knowledge know as science to move forward so angels were sent but Satan through to his promise that he is going to corrupt everything human manipulate this science/ magic for his own purpose to break up families. We still seek the knowledge from the jinns till today because they were present then till now and called anybody with extraordinary knowledge genius which means jinn in us.

2.102 They had also followed the devils (those who cause corruption by inciting the illusion) in regards to (denying) the sovereignty (administration) of Solomon (formed by his essential reality). It was not Solomon who disbelieved (curtained from his reality), but the devils who (by following their illusions) disbelieved (denied the reality), teaching people magic and that which was revealed to the two angels (to Maleek) at Babylon, Harut and Marut. But the two angels did not teach anything to anyone without saying, “We are but a trial, so do not become a disbeliever by covering that which is in your essence (by resorting to external forces to practice magic).” And yet they learned from them that which causes separation between a man and his wife. those stories are just stories, and are distant from the actual truth and are more related to the biblical or Jewish accounts! We only believe that at the time of Suleman A.S people had no clue about what magic is and what miracle of Allah is, Suleman A.S was blessed with so many amazing miracles that people start acussing him of being a magician! He gathered all the books of magic and placed them unfer his throne in order to eliminate magic from the lands of Babylon and in order to differentiate btw magic and Miracle, Allah sent these angels to that land to make it clear that what k knowledge they have (magical or some unknown knowledge!) is not beneficial, comes with a cost, and brings humiliation to the one who uses it, which is totally opposite to the miracles of Suleman because his miracles brought him honor and respect and power across lands by the will of Allah and many witnessed it like the throne of bilkis being transported in a split sec etc! people recognized Sulemans A.S power and admired it unlike a magician who practices evil knowledge and only bring worldly fame or benefit which only lasts temporarily and has no portion in the hereafter so they made this clear on people that miracles are from Allah and is Allah's mercy and blessing on His choosen slave so that they may establish Allah's deen on land and set justice and peace! But after learning the difference some people only used it not to get benefit but rather they started it to use it for their own personal disputes and they made a wrong choice!

we as muslim should refrain from magic at all cost because it means losing ones iman! it like those angels were sent to make people aware what this magic could do to make them stay away from it abd accept the truth and follow right path but rather some turned blind eye to it even knowing that they are going to meet a miserable end in the hereafter! Some interpreters say that Harut and Marut were not angels, they were either humans or jinns. They learned magic from the shaitans and thought them to people.

They said to people do not disbelieve we are just fitnah but then they used to teach people magic and how to separate a man and his wife. But the question is, were Haroot and Maroot angels? He did forget to mention a crucial bit of information. He did say it is mentioned in the Talmud, which is true....but the Rabbi's took the story from the Zoroastrians after they got freed from their capture in Babylon: Haurvatat and Ameretat, two Zoroastrian archangels. These where taken from the Vedic culture: sarvatāt "intactness, perfection" and amṛtatva "immortality". In the both the Gathas (written bij Zoroaster himself) and the Vedas they had the same meaning mentioned above. Later, the Zoroastrians coined them as archangels in the Yasna. Fun fact: Zoroastrian priest are called Magi from which the word magic originate from.

Yes, who knows these Veda and Zoroastrians books were books of Allah and are no more in their original form now. As you might know that Islam now is the final form of religion that Allah/ God has chosen for humanity. Please do research the Quran. May Allah guide you. P.S. I'm only assuming you're non-Muslim. Mohammad Hamid I know exactly what you feel. Harut and Marut where send to Babylon as a part if the test. Allah made Alcohol forbidden as it has goodness too but the bad outweigh the the good, But God Almighty say that Magic has no good on you only the Bad so it was very very well forbidden. The Angels said that please don't learn anything from them, it will only cause harm to them.

@Mohammad Hamid LOL, the ayah clearly said Angels and that something was revealed to them probably opposite of Magic used by Shayateen. In the ayah, God mentioned shayateen first and then mentioned Angels separately. There is no mention of Jinn in the ayah but Malaikat. It is the same way people of fir'aun practiced magic to hypnotize nabi Musa(as) but Allah revealed to Musa something similar but different. You cannot blame this Dr. alone. You have to blame what is written in sahih Hadith too which Dr. tried to explain that the chain did not reach the prophet(saw).

Yes when Hazrat Suleman took all the books of magic and put them undrr throne to prevent the magic in the lands that people were practicing at very large, people then start falsely accusing him A.s for using magic to control the jin kind and all the other miracles Allah had blessed him with! so Allah sent these angels for the people to see what magic is and what miracle of a Nabi is! just like those magicians who challenged Musa A. S because they called him a magician as well and they threw their sticks and ropes etc to show their magic but when they saw Musa A. s showing his miracle as described in Quran, they immediately knew somethings like this can't be magic and is somethings beyond the power of human or jins and fell into prostration admitting their defeat!

They were the angel of good and evil. They could be good and evil. They have both aspects. This video is very on point. I know people who have been victim of those who worship this angels as part of the tree of Good and evil amongst other angels on that tree who are both good and evil aspects as well as (Setan also called Set or Sebek) Which are the two aspects of Setan. . Dividing family and controling them is what they do as well as idolising them in images and status and giving them offerings of food that they they eat as part of they ritual. And calling on the spirit of those angels to possess them and guide them on earth. As well as controlling they lives and the life of those they relate to. And trying to control earthly events. But man is already evil and should only look to Allah Swt. Man abuse of his power and manipulate as well as getting manipulated. Only Allah Swt can guide man through his revelation.

Basically, The Holy Host (Angels) were astounded by how sinful humans have become in Babylon, so God asked them to elect two angels to go down in form of man to show them how easy it is to fail into temptation. They choose Harut and Marut and both are sent to earth. They are eventually seduced by a woman named Venus, they end up committing adultery and killing a witness. God punished the woman by turning her into a planet and the two angels are forced to live out their lives as dark sorcerers who test human beings, all connections to the angels are then destroyed.

Saajan Khan I was thinking that as well. How can angels spread magic that does harm to people? Somehow, I am not convinced by his explanation. The only way to do magic is to communicate with Jinn. But, this power was only given to Prophet Soleman. Because even Prophet Muhammed upon capturing a Jinn once, to show his followers, released it out of respect for Prophet Soleman. Then, why would angels give out this knowledge to people which was only bestowed upon Prophet Soleman?

It is too basic and general, anyone can just read the quran translation. Nothing really explained about the angels or any background on them or the situation that existed during that time and place. Basically he just quoted right out of the translation. Not sure which audience are u looking for.

Harut and marut are waaaaaaay before Abraham. Solomon is said to be contemporary to Nebuchadnezzar. And in the time of Nebuchadnezzar they already became legend/folklore. Ancient deity, patron of magic, exorcist among the gods, Marutuk (Marduk).

The fact that so many people here believe in angels baffles me. Harut and Marut sound like Haurvatat and Ameratat, 2 of the Amesha Spentas (bounteous immortals) spoken about by Zarathustra. They were were not angels until they were anthropomorphised. They are concepts and ideals to which we should aspire. They are gifts from the creator of our reality, wisdom. 🤔 Shatan/Satan titles: lier, 666, serpent, Lucifer's true name is "halal/hei-lel'meaning angel of light/fire, without spirit (no soul), greatest deceiver of all, lier, one eye, slaver of humanity (not the father), *Jesus titles:: love, lamb of Judea,, Truth, Word, Holy spirit, light out of darkness, resurrection *Satan gives his titles, hides in plain sight, but its up to the people to see who the deceiver is. Why would Allah have similar titles? Such as going back in forth( comes down each night from lowest heaven) from the lowest heaven? Absolutely ignorant about this story brothrr Shabir. And also very dangerous with your staitment that, the schoolers of the past dident know the world the way we do, so that's why they have said what they have said. Many storys are told from the schoolers of the past and they have explained why are they writing about this storys. They have mention storys from banu israil and the people of the books not because they belive in them, but to explain to people what they belive (the people of the book.). Magic was told by harute and marute to people because shayatin use to do magic and people dident know what magic was. People though magic was miracle. Allah send the angels harut and marut to teach people what is magic, so they know magic is not a miracle. In fact magic is disbelieve. Whens they tought people they also explained to them that , this knowledge is fitnah ,dont fall in to it. They teach people magic for them to be aware of magic not to practise it. Other explanation wich mufasirs have made is .. magic is been made available to human just like pork or other forbidden things wich Allah has created and made haram for people. We live in dunia to be tested and part of the test is also the magic.

I have feeling from this channel that these people are not doing good for our ummah.. They are creating problems in simple issues.. There is nothing problematic in Quran and hadith.. I believe in each and every word of Quran and sahih hadith.. Stop creating confusion.. Allah's knowledge is far more supirior than science.. Facts of science changes with time.. Our knowledge is limited.. Allah knows everything.. How can u take pride in your science above Allah's knowledge..

These aren't from Islamic scriptures from what I am seeing online, the Quran does not mention them alot, and the Venus story and many narrations of the story are from Jewish scripture NOT islamic. The quran and hadith have dozens of scientific and historical and linguistic miracles I almost lost faith awhile back but I did some research and without a doubt the Quran is the word of God.

@@AntonNb You got it right. Satan were those angels who refused to bow to Adam. These angels created chaos and sadness. They created hybrid out of human (Hominid, Adamite and Nephilim) and animals. They were among the first who performed DNA modification (on earth). Their leader was Azazel. There were 200 of Angels involved in the first rebelion against Yahwheh The first according to Islam was Harut and Marut. In Indonesian Carut Marut means great chaos. It is also believed that 1/3 of angels in the assembly of the Lord take sides as opposition to Yahweh. YaJuj wa Majuj was the result of DNA mixing of Adamite and Nephilim (there are 33 races of Nephilim of which Anakim was the only race survived Noah Flood). The people in South East Asia called children as ANAK (Anak is the singular form of Anakim).

Satan is made from fire while angel made from light ...Satan were never an angel , it's true that Satan once behave as it should be (obeying every God command) but he never be an angel ..theres a fatal consequence from Christian version of Satan.. For example It can lead people to think that God are weak, since we knew in their version Satan can break the nature of an angel when he disobey God command (an angel nature/habit is they will never disobey god command) and lead an army rebelling against God ..or the power of God is not absolute

i belong to a sunni and shia family so i have seen both sects up close,,, now I am 40 and have come to the conclusion the whole story of iblees and his fall from grace is so ridiculous its outright the most unintelligent outlandish story which is not even that good in fact if u actually think about it the whole deal is so stupid that it could not be true nor even plausible... i believe that you have the right to believe in what ever ur heart desires but I know all the religions are wrong or at least have it wrong ... they have failed to understand what god actually wants .. whatever god wants its certainly not what the 3 abrahamic religions are preaching! If there is a god that god is far away billions of light years away, so far that space has just expanded into existence in that area, he's maybe busy creating more stuff over there, and all the killing we're doing in his glory he probably doesn't even care! God has not created us so we can prepare for our afterlife , that is dumb; he has created us and countless other species across the universe so we can educate ourselves and learn all his secrets through science and through that alone can you become closer to god bcz you aim for infinite knowledge much like the creator possess... no sermons or fasting can get you close to god as much as knowledge in the natural world can

subhanallah how can you reject hadith narrations based on science and today's norms? if you want to reject something about hadith talk about its authenticity in terms of hadith shcolarship. tell that this hadith is weak because it has such and such problems in its narrations. science and technology are not criteria to refute a hadith. science CHANGES. we are being very ridiclous if we try to understand our religion according to today's science and technology which is due to change any time. people used to think that dirty clothes were summoning insects and flies and that was scientific. newton used to believe in alchemy, galileo refused that tides were because of the moon, imagine how our science and technology will look like after 150 years from now on. listen to latest theoric physicians their string theory, or parallel universes, or uncertainity principle of quantum i am sure to newton mechanics fan in 19th century there will be like magic. so we cannot reject something which does not seem to comply with newtonian mechanics. what is uncommon story, what is problematic hadith subhanallah we believe them all as long as they are from the book of Allah u teala and authentic hadith.
