Christy and I headed out to a new campground for us. Grand Lake St. Mary is a beautiful campground and lake locate in Celina Ohio. We were very surprised how nice and clean it was. The lake is very large but they don't recommend swimming in it at this time. There is so much to do and see around the lake. We highly recommend checking it out for yourself. On some of the ODNR webpages, the newer camper cabins are also called "Sherman Cabins." OK for a couple but still have to walk to the latrines and showers.

This campground looks very nice. The amenities looked great at this park. The beachy Key Westy feel is always a plus. Nice job.

Lake is fine to swim in. With any lake. Shower afterwards and dont drink the water. Grew up here never got sick even when the algae blooms were going on. In it every year with my kids no issues. In town at k.c geiger park is a nice 18 hole putter golf, and disc golf course.

Omg this is where my dad and cousins are from loved fishing here as a child can’t wait to bring my own best memories growing up for sure brings back so many great memories

It seams to be a lot better than it has been. There were lots of people boating and kayaking. It’s nice because you can launch your boat right from the campground. It would be great to cross paths one of these days!! Thanks for watching!

Your review of the campground is spot on, clean and relaxing. A few years ago, they added the pool area now it's a little harder to book spots on short notice. Next time you're in the area reach out maybe we could meet up again.

This is the town I live in and we camp every year the first weekend in June. Unfortunately the water is not fit for swimming otherwise it's a wonderful place to not only camp but live. Glad you had a chance to visit.

I am looking for a reasonable campsite near my Fathers home town Hicksville Ohio, St. Mary's is about a hour and half, do you know any closer?

This used to be a beautiful campground and in very high demand. I feel you need to note that this lake has been so highly polluted for more than a decade and it is very unsafe...worse for children and elderly. The agricultural runoff has destroyed what was once a very popular and thriving tourism spot. It is recommended that people avoid all contact with the lake water.
