This is a man that has his priorities in order. He was told that he was being given $10,000 and he immediately responded you don't have to do that and explained himself. He was then told that one of his dreams was coming true and he was speechless. Money does make the world go round but what truly moves the heart, money can't even hope to compare.
My heart goes out to this man for raising the boys by himself and making sure they have the love and everything he can offer. He chose to stay in Vegas even though their was no one there for him, and he knew what NY had in store for him. You made great and wise choice and you have your priorities right. I take my hat off to you sir. As for the boss, sir you gave back to someone who really deserves what you did for him and his boys. It wasn't about the money to him it was about the recognition.
Damn.. I completely feel for this dude. Minus having a child, I was in a similiar predicament of being surrounded by drugs and committing crimes I can't believe I ever was apart of at this point in life. I made the choice to move 600 miles away and start a new life making good decisions and working hard to be independent. Being solo in this world without a child is a challenge. Being solo with one is veteran level difficulty and you get one shot.
Life is not a dress rehearsal. The universe rewards the Brave. You were beyond Brave to uproot your Life and move somewhere you could begin again. Well done you! Adversity introduces you to yourself. I concur with your sentiment 100% Australia.
Those customers roasting “Paul” were kinda rude, I get that it was his “first day” and he wasn’t doing very well, but it still goes to show that not everyone was raised right. Working in any field that involves interacting directly with consumers will show you this.
The generosity of the MGM Grand's boss really touches me. What he did for his employee Eddie will never be forgotten. 10 thousand may not be much to some, but to Eddie it's a fortune and will give him and his boys a security they have not known. The UFC experience is the cherry on top.
Dope!! Amazing! I love this kind of appreciation given to great people in any company. YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE THE REASON ANY business is great!! It's something a company like IBM has understood over a 100 years ago and look at them now... still going strong, 100 years later!! Your employees are also your consumer. Pay them well, treat them well and it will all come back to you.
You are worthy to love, kindness and generosity. You are a wonderful man therefore your superbe boss recognize your true colours and did you a gift fit for you. God bless you and your children.😇
I knew Eddie and his wife when i lived in Henderson NV he was one of my regulars when i was working at Food 4 Less. Always cool, laid back, polite and always sharply dressed man. We naturally got along cause we're both Puerto Rican lol but he was always about his boys and its good to see him still doing good.
This is what America is about when it comes to your life and the chips are down we could all use a helping hand once in our life and it's good to see a hotel and casino like MGM respecting and honoring the employees with such high integrity for their employer talk about restoring faith always and forever remember Good Deeds are contagious
I wish stuff like this happened more often. I’ve been raising my 3 year old daughter alone, to make ends meet I’m working 2 jobs 80 hours a week and I’m missing out on so much of her life. I’m a vet who suffers from PTSD and because I’m so busy I haven’t been able to get to the VA to get help. I’m happy other people are getting the help they need but damn I’m a little jealous
Hey just keep on taking care of you daughter and being a good father to her. Try to help others when you can, I'm sure your blessings are on their way.
The VA saved my life brother, MAKE THE TIME, Its the greatest thing I've ever done, physically not figuratively saved my life. I didn't want help and went for years trying to do it on my own and just couldn't take it so for my kid and my wife I swallowed my pride and went and got help. I wouldn't be here right now without it.
That guy has been through hard ship, He didn't even care about the money because money was just money to him. What really made him glow was the time he would spend with his boys. He knew and understood the value that time would bring. That is something deserving of the highest regard and respect. Good man
That's it? The casino generates millions dollars per day and they only could give him $10,000? How about $30,000? The $10,000 would go to him, and $10,000 for each of the 2 kids he's raising for their college.
I wonder if this CEO remembers a man named Rudy Williams he worked at MGM in Reno and was their book keeper.. Long time ago about 40 years back in the 80s. That was my father!
10,000 dollars, that man makes MGM 10,000 dollars in one hour, and when it comes to judgment day I personally doubt that God will be impressed at all simply because it's about 70 years to late, know what I'm saying
Anyone who knows the person is under cover: Back in the 3rd grade I stubbed my toe. My dad's my mother now. I sneezed so hard my sister died. When I was growing up, Legos everywhere man Under cover boss: "your struggles really have inspired us here at the company and I personally wanna-" 😂😂😂
I don't really comment but keep this in mind. He gave him 10 thousand. Mind you I haven't watch it yet but I saw a story on one of the biggest scammers of all time and he got it over on a casino in Vegas for a little over 850million dollars. They said that was a little over 5 percent of the casinos earnings in one year. Pretty crazy if you think about it.
I worked at the MGM at a store called "Nancy's Playhouse" back in the 1970s before it burned down. I think I only made $2.70 an hour. It was a children's store with brass doll beds and Givenchy dresses for little girls.
Dude that dood mocking him not knowing is so embarrassing bc imagine he wasn’t the ceo u start working and this dude just won’t shut up on how long it’s taking bc then it stresses people out
Bro 10k is pocket change for this greedy capitalist. The dudes a father of 5 barely getting by, and he only gives him 10k with a ufc fight match? Like cool you let him get by for maybe a few months if he doesn't have any loans or payments to pay off, which again 10k would barely cover.
Wow $10.000 seriously that’s chump change to this ceo 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ I’m thinking I’m the only one that thinks he should have gotten a lot more 🤦🏻♀️ that money will last 2secs 🤬🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
