Michelle Williams, Lisa Fisher, Tamar Braxton, Nicole Scherzinger and Kelly Price Killed me... Natalie Cole is a legend with nothing to prove. LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE for more of your favorites :) Check out my Instagram: justthevoice1
Lisa Fisher is sick as hell. Kelly Price is utter TRUE! Stephanie Mills can still SANG till this day. Tori Kelly is vocal fluidity. Michelle is THROUGH with playin vocal games with us. Ledisi is the lungs of life, such easy in her belting register, so free, and so much ease.
I saw Lisa Fischer in February of this year. She was legit 20 feet from me, even walked around the venue singing "What's your name?" to which people would sing back. She was still blasting out B5s. Thought the sound system wouldn't be able to hold lol
Lisa is A GODDESS but she wasn't really interested in becoming a huge star. If you haven't yet, you should watch "20 steps from stardom". It's a documentary about all those amazing female singers that never became famous even when they were crazily talented and did the back up vocals to all our favorite songs. The music industry is so unfair sometimes, ugh :(
It's funny when people say "so and so didn't want fame"... Let's be honest, most people in that category would have given a limb for fame. They were denied an opportunity, got played/hustled, or had a bad team behind them. Somehow, it always sounds more virtuous to say "they weren't interested in stardom".
Mint E Fresh but Lisa had several chances. She was in the industry for long, won a Grammy, didn’t do more. Now she’s a jazz queen, but i think she’s a rare example of really not wanting the fame. She sings because she loves it.
All I know is Lisa Fischer went on the road with Luther as one of his backup singers and I got to see him 3 times. Back then, I would tell people that Luther was one of those that had the absolute best backing him up. She also toured with the Rolling Stones for over 25 years, and I saw them once. That gig took her all over the world. She has been in demand, with good cause. Tamar is a singing child, do you hear me, one of the best right now. Ledisi, Brandy, and Jazmine all are ridiculously talented.
Lisa is a phenomenal vocalist...She is known to have backed Luther Vandross, and the Rolling Stones...She said she did not feel comfortable, being in the lime light...Luther pushed her to do a album...She did that one, and continued to back him, til his death...As far as I know, she still backs the Stones today...
Lisa Fischer does it for me every single time, that said she's a tease she only gave us one album and that's just wrong! Jessie J should be on this list, she is seriously underrated! Sad thing is I didn't know half of these singers, I've definitely been missing out! Why didn't someone tell me? You're all fired! 😜
It was bo fault of Lisa's. The guy that signed her to electra either left electra or ekectra was brought out, new management and nobody picked up recording her 2nd lp. There is no trinity.....theres Whitney and there's Lisa. Lisa has a great deal of versitality in her catalog. Shes backed up Chaka, Luther (23yrs) Roberta Flack, Beyonce, the Rolling Stones (23yrs), Dolly Parton, Sting, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen etc.... She has quite a large following from the Rolling Stones fan base to this day! You should study Lisa Fischer.
She Is Underrated Vocalist 💕 Jessie , Tori And Demi are the Underrated singer of this generation plus ariana grande also the best of this generation but she is not underrated .💕
Shazia Aijaz Ariana is most definitely not the best of this generation🤦🏽♀️& tori, demi & jessie are only 3 from an ENTIRE LIST of underrated artists in this generation..
Also, Lisa Fischer didn't go solo because she did not like it. Thus she kept singing backup for Mick Jagger for the better part of 25 years. Not a legendary career, but I would call it fulfilling, especially for someone so humble and gifted. Even today her vocal chords are still strong enough to place her at the top (she is still prime vocal trinity level, can still belt Fs and Gs, I've seen B5, still hitting in the 6th octave). Of course, that probably would not be true if she had chosen to become a diva.
❤Natalie Cole ❤Donna Summer ❤Anastacia ❤Laryren Hill ❤Cyndi Lauper ❤Tori Kelly ❤Michelle Williams But I don't think Demi Lavato and Pink are underrated🤔
K.D. Lang has been slept on her whole career, her voice is a miracle. Cyndi Lauper is another, incredible voice. Jessica Sanchez is phenomenal. Leann Rimes is one of the all time greatest singers (not showcased in this clip), watch her cover Patsy Cline or her cover of Billy Joel's Lullaby. And what can i say about Fisher, can go toe to toe with anyone, incredible.
@Shadow Play in the Woods she was never "extremely popular", extremely popular were Mariah and Whitney. She is mostly known for only one song 'Constant Craving' and won 2 Grammys in the entire 90's. She did win two in other decades. Her success does not match her amazing voice and quality of her material, so I stand by what I said.
Lisa Fischer has a wonderful catalog of music working with other artists, you should search out this woman's other music and listen to it! She sang back-up for the Rolling Stones and worked with many many others... Go find her : )
I think it's a combination of famous but they aren't respected or treated as a supreme vocalist or someone who is wildly talented but never became a huge star
As vocalists they mean. Not as celebrities or performers or fashion icon. Like, Gaga for example, everyone knows her for her eccentric persona, her crazy costumes, her dancing, her videos, etc. But nobody really cared for her vocals. Only recently have people started paying attention to her vocals. Until now she was just the "weirdo" of pop music. Super famous? Yes. For her vocals? No. That's what they mean by underrated. These people ARE underrated as vocalists. Perhaps they're overall overrated, but as vocalists they're not.
Patti LaBelle tied with Lisa Fisher for a Grammy 👍🏽 they left off Tarralyn Ramsey and Tamia, Rachelle Ferrell (I think people support artist they can actually sing along with and don’t feel defeated after!) Patti LaBelle will give you a head rush and dizzy spells with her octaves and phrasing and SAANGING LIKE IT’S HER LAST TIME! Love Miss Patti ♥️ People always say she’s so extra or she “SCREAMS TOO MUCH!” But the truth is they just don’t have what she brings vocally 😂
jli9ht88 Though even when she came out, at 13 years old, she slayed everyone...stupid label held her back literally for too long! I need more vocalists like JoJo to show these young peeps who think they’re lit just what lit is....lol
I admire and respect your opinion and truly enjoy watching your videos.i would love and appreciate if you could feature one of the most underrated vocalists of all time but is considered a singers singer The to soon departed Ms. PHYLIS HYMAN.💔🎼
A new fan I enjoy watching your videos a great deal. Could you react to Jennifer Hudson singing purple rain at the BET Awards. I know you get hundreds of request, so I’ll wait patiently. Lol. Keep doing your thing. Also, will you do more of your own singing?
Lisa and Luther Vandross was in the group together called Change. Could you react to Luther Vandross and Lisa Fischer Dont Want to be a fool soul train awards 92
I like many of those included in the video. I would add some more who might be defined as 'under-rated' although having their own fan base for sure : Alison Moyet, Jennifer Holiday, Dilana, Phyllis Hyman, Belinda Carlisle, Toni Childs, Oleta Adams, Kate Bush. Leona Lewis, Fiona Apple, Julia Fordham, .......
I have been asking and asking u to watch diana ross strange fruit live..its so short but awesome..wont take much of your time...and also mariah i don't wanna cry tokyo live
Kelly is definitely not underrated she's hyped up too much and people know she can sing as a vocalist. Jennifer is not that underrated just not appreciated as much.
PLEASE react to "Did You Give Enough Love" official video by CÉLINE DION.....Her label gave up on this single from her self-titled album after the single being banned from the radios & canadian tv for being "too sexual"..... without a doubt her sexiest video!
React to Nicole Scherzinger singing The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tE6SRBnDHx8.html Also react to this video, which shows the many talents of Nicole: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2csBEe7__Jk.html
For anyone alive in 80s, great R&B vocalists not on here, Stacy Lattisaw (crazy her hits starting at 12 yo/Michael Jackson picking her to open tours, #1 w/ her childhood friend Johnny G, etc., Since Stacy left biz early, few remember her but angelic voice, Mariah sampled from her too. Miki Howard another great vocalist too.
Stephanie Mill need to be considered with the Devils cuz Stephanie Mill has hits out there good hits number one hits and her voice is things a lot of these Diva voices I've heard
Deborah Cox is AMAZING! You should react to her singing Oh Holy Night or If We Hold On Together.... Faith Hill is great too! From her you should react to There You'll Be or When The Lights Go Down...
The problem with these lists by Archduke ... is that many of his female lists have the same crop of female vocalist. Many on the Underrated are also on the best of lists. Once in a while an odd pick is on the list. And a few are gals who haven't sung live since 25years ago. OR use the same old footage across the board.
It's so sad that Lianne La havas is soo underrated that I don't even see her in these type of videos. Please react to her! I promise you won't regret it. She and Tori Kelly are my favorite. Please react to her say a little prayer cover or midnight live sofar London.
I have to agree with your other viewers they didn't include Rachelle Ferrell on that list that's one of your quintessential voices underrated American female vocalist
another VERY underrated vocalist is Rachelle Ferrell. i wonder if you'll ever react to her. if you ever decide to, please react to 'Rachelle Ferrell at the Dakota Jazz Club'
If you're one of the people that hate Believe by Cher, watch Ella Henderson sing it, it is phenomenal! Also check out Cyndi Lauper's live work, and a British soul artist Beverley Knight.
