This was a very good, measured, and specific criticism of CCN. I find myself wanting more Christian influence on society and politics. CN claims to have the answer. I can agree with the general things like Bill does, but when they get into the specific applications I have strong disagreements. However, I don't think current political system is healthy. I don't think the Constitution or post WW2 freedom of speech views are the answer either. The Constitution is constantly violated by our government. Here is just a short list of huge violations: Civil War, Federal Reserve, New Deal, Civil Rights Act, Great Society, Neocon take over of Republican Party, Patriot Act, Quantitative Easing, CARES Act. Each one disregarded the Constitution. Just think the Constitution only allows gold and silver currency as allowable. But we haven't had that since the end of the gold standard in 1914, maybe as late as 1917. But that is 107 years that the monetary system itself violates the Constitution and NO ONE in our government or punditry cares. The system isn't just broken its Humpty Dumpty. Blasphemy laws aren't the answer. But neither is tweaking things here and there.

This was a really fair handling of a complex topic. After reading Wolfe’s book and listening to his rejoinders in his own words, I am probably more persuaded by his vision than by his predictable array of detractors. But, I am more historian than theologian and ultimately I think there is nothing, historically speaking, that is radical about the book. Regarding your allusion to “problematic” things on social media - I am not on social media so I cannot comment on specifics but I’m guessing that so-called kinism is probably a part of it, because it seems to arise in many critiques of the book. (And from my read, this horrifying spectre of “kinism” seems to be a pejorative label for the phenomenon of people of indo-European descent gradually discovering that they are a people with collective interests, along with other people groups that operate on such categories, that naturally prefer each other’s company, and that much of evangelicalism has long been perfectly happy to acknowledge and affirm.) I am not much of a participant one way or another when it comes to this, but the modern handwringing over kinism and the right of free association is not so much rooted in a historical Christian allergy to the reality of distinct people groups, but the modern narrowing of the Overton Window. My 5 cents. Regardless I thought it was a fair review; much fairer than what has come out of outfits like Sovereign Nations so far (I watched a recent talk from a gentleman there who angsted over Christian Nationalism for a full 30 minutes without ever bothering to define it.

My question over this book is in the premise of the continuation of the Adamic covenant at the expense of the rest of the covenants God made. It seems to only work out in a covenant theology with speculation about things unknown, like wether Adam would have fulfilled the command if he hadn’t fallen. As we do live in a post fall world the premise is one more of man trying to reach the goal that isn’t achievable this side of the Lord’s return

This was a very fair video. I am surprised Wolfe would such since he was a Army Officer. Guess I do commend his love of the Bible over what he would consider idle worship of the Constitution. Would he want the Pope to be the Magistrate? I doubt it. I wouldn't want the Pope as the Magistrate and I am Catholic.
