Plastic bronchitis is a lymphatic flow disorder that causes severe respiratory issues. In individuals with plastic bronchitis, lymph fluid builds in the airways and forms rubbery or caulk-like plugs (known as casts). These casts block the airways, making it difficult to breathe.
In the Jill and Mark Fishman Center for Lymphatic Disorders at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, children and adults with PLE are treated by the world’s most experienced specialists in lymphatic imaging and intervention.
