The QSP hawk is a squiggled the F out EDC sized pocket knife. This review examines the properties of the damascus blade and marbled carbon fiber handle. I compare it to the QSP woodpecker and the Spyderco Para Military 2 in this video.

I like how the PM2 is still your gold standard after all this time. Honestly, the consistency with which I see it makes me want to get one more than the actual subjects of the review most of the time lol. I also toy with the idea of getting a Mercator K55K sometimes. I still think you would like the Kershaw Skyline even if it is old news these days. I feel self-conscious about plugging it too much, though.

Like I can’t say it’s my favorite knife, but it’s probably spydercos best knife. It’s kinda the reference knife for the channel too. Right sized blade, right weight, fidgets well, sharpens easy, great handle.

That blade shape I like quite a bit. Reminds me of a once rather expensive H & K, that was replaced by a rather affordable Ganzo that I adore. I forget the model #, but it's facking sharp and pointy.

Awesome intro dude!😆 I own a qsp hawk with the s35vn blade and shredded cf scales, sweet little knife. I agree the jimping on the flipper is a bit aggressive and I did add a bit of mineral oil for extra smoothness. Detente is actually quite stiff on mine, can't wrist flick it open. ✌️🖖🤘

You could review a Roselli puukko with the UHC Wootz steel. The steel seems to be pretty amazing (at least on paper) but i'm too broke to fuel my knife addiction, so i haven't managed to get my hands on one. Plus there aren't many reviews on Roselli puukkos, so you would be ahead of the competition. Just a recomendation though.

Never sure how I feel about Damascus/damasteel; looks pretty but it's not something I'd like on a knife I'm going to carry. I always see it as more of a shelf art piece. Think that's got more to do with my philosophy of not standing out in a crowd maybe. Hard when you're 6'2" but I try. Awesome vid as ever bud

I own one. I like the looks quite a bit, though the blade on mine has some annoying dark splotches near the top and incomplete patterning near the edge in a few spots. It is comfortable and flips fine, but the action is kinda gritty because the Damascus was etched on the detent ball track. I wish the blade was much thinner behind the edge. It doesn't slice particularly well and is heavier than it needs to be.

Im a sucker for compound grinds & curvy lines personally. Pattern welding just isn't my thing. I prefer the "woodpecker" over the "hawk" all day.... *That's what she said 😎 lol

I used to feel the same way: Why pay extra for a bladesteel that only imitates the 'wootz effect' without actually making it a better steel (and most of the time when they offer 'damascus' as an option it's actually a worse bladesteel)🧐 Moreover, I tend to find those 'swirly' patterns quite ugly on most knives. But then I saw the Civivi Asticus with their 'damascus' and thought wow ... that's actually mighty pretty😙 I think it's the Hooligan that also has a pattern to my liking, but most other 'damascus' Civivi's I've seen are quite ugly to me. Now I don't care enough for either of those knives to buy 'em, but if my Civivi Governor had been available with an equally pretty damascus pattern I think I would have gladly paid a premium for it. Just because I think it would've made it look a little bit less 'scary', which would mean I wouldn't shy back from carrying it as much as I do (which I do mostly because I prefer smaller knives for EDC)🤔🙄 But anyway, that's just my 222 bits😫
