Not really, since Gonk droids may be slow moving and derpy, but they are also crazy tough, since Gonk droids are basically walking fusion reactors and have a heavily reinforced armored shell

weldonwin weaponize gonk droids and you something truly frightening. You’d never be able to trust those walking batteries again.

@@imperialofficerremusblackw8452 There have been instances where a Gonk Droid's shell has been breached, causing the internal fusion reactor to explode with enough force to take out a large building. That said, Gonks are *REALLY* hard to damage, with one incident in one of the comics, where a nasty kid tricks a Gonk into walking off a ledge, it falls several hundred feet, smashing into the pavement in a crater, before just getting up and walking off

idk Corellia seems more like Boston to me. They have a distinct population (Corellians = Bostonians). They have a history involving transport (Corellia is a well known tradeport and their starships are distinct. Boston is a port city and has a long seafaring history). Also, both Corellia and Boston have a history of independence/rebellion. Corellia almost blatantly supported the Rebel Alliance and Boston (and Massachusetts in general) was pretty much where the American Revolution started.

What does that mean? Sorry, I’m from the UK. Is Detroit a rough town?

Nah, those modified freighters are nothing more than glorified patrol boats. Up-gun them and you have either improvised gunships, or missile/torpedoe boats. It's no way near what the Defiant actually is: an assault frigate.

How about using the 'forklift' mandibles of a YT-1300 like the Millenium Falcon as a makeshift bomber? Load a space-ready crate with explosives, pick it up with the mandibles, accelerate towards a Star Destroyer, then hit the release and turn around.

If memory serves me well, I seem to recall a model of heavy assault craft made during the Corellian rebellion where they basically mass produced a "Millenium Falcon" of sorts; I think it was called the Shrike or something like that.

I liked that battle a lot. I've always had a preference for smaller and more agile ships over the huge one which is why Frigates are my favorite warship type in most settings that have them including Star Wars. I hope if they ever make a canon Battle of Tanaab its much closer to the Legends Battle of Nar Shadda then the Legends version of the Battle of Tanaab (My feelings on the Legends Tanaab can be summed up as Home Alone in space set in Star Wars when it should have shown Lando in a leadership role that made him seem qualified to lead the rebel fighter wings at Endor)

And don't forget the Starhawk. We now have a cannon picture of it.

And the YT-1300, okay they only used one, and it wasn't stock. But it still was well known.

real world reason (we need more space ship models) possible starwars in world explanations 1. ships serve as gunships by being fitted with basic anti-fighter blaster cannons (rebels take fighter threats to their capitol ships much more serisuly than the Empire) 2. ships are always present because in the event the rebels need to beat a quick retreat they can refuel immediately 3. GR-7 Transports are in fact not as helpless as at first seemed and can in fact be fitted out to be semi-decent combat ships...

Nicholas Pace humans are definitely more evolved in SW, the computational ability, reflexes, and memory skills are off the charts compared to even our geniuses

They were content with their glorified patrol boats in the form of all those modified freighters and patrol crafts. They didn't have much need for ships that are more suitable for anti civilian, anti fighter roles, when their fighters were already powerful enough to achieve superiority, locally, during a raid.

Actually looking at how we make ships for space travel it's not too diffrent the only main thing that is diffrent is the fact in a Submarine you can just build in layers with a lot of space in between the plates cause our ships don't stay at max depth for long unlike the moncal ships they'd need to be much closer together on the outer layers to help offset the pressure across the entire structure. Which for space travel this type of build would fair very well all you'd need to do is build the functions you'd need to live and travel through with engines, life support, weapons, shields etc.

A dramatic error to think this way, as inside pressure is laughable compared to water pressure outside. You're essentially saying submarines would be less sturdy than... planes 😄. Astronauts have repeatedly used _duct tape_ and regular epoxy to patch air leaks in real life space exploration. Even as recently as... last year in the ISS 😉.

@@lucofparis4819 Certainly, I'm no aerospace engineer. However, things tend to be build to withstand certain kind f forces, just easier and cheaper, no overengineering. Like, iirc, the Lunar Lander could not stand on it's own feet in Earth gravity.

man, I just love astrokill. The larger ships are less well thought out, but the fighters are very good. One example, is a ship that has a railgun. It has engines, a pilot, and a huge railgun. One or two hits with the railgun will destroy most fighters. (astrokill uses bullets and missiles, and the shields are different, they only work when you trigger them, and you can't shoot while they are on, but they are 100% effective, 100% impenetrable, for about a long few seconds)

I think they don't have many and most of the ships that they introduced (outside the movies) arent really fleshed out but they are still cool

@@orbaitv5991 I do wish that the other first order ships got more information but here's what I can tell. First Order light cruiser: It's really a Corvette at around 130m long. Nebulon K: Presumably similar to the Nebulon B it is just like the former ship, a frigates. Maxima A class heavy cruiser: Based on it's appearence which is inspired by a real life aircraft carrier, it is most likely a starfighter carrier. Imperial class star destroyer: Yes, the old star destroyers are still used in 34ABY. They propably take an occupation role as my kind has taken the role of frontline battleships from them. They still are secondary battleships and are most likely policing First Order territory. Since you know my role I'll skip to my big brother the Mandator 4: It's high degree of specialization in the autocannons makes it reliant on escorting ships for it's safety. It is a special support ship that has heavy weaponry. Supremacy class Mega star destroyer: I prefer the name Supremacy class over Mega class. Seeing the sheer number of functions that it has, the Supremacy class is undoubtedly the flagship of the First Order.

I think that they were at battle of Endor more as rescue ships. With they cargo loaders, they can "colect" damage ships.

The fallacy here is not realizing the pressure differential. A hull designed to withstand immense pressure greater than that exerted by an atmosphere is not going to come apart or burst when subjected to internal pressure equal to one atmosphere it simply won't. The structural bracing and bonds are designed to be sealed against any sort of pressure wether its internal or external so as long as pressure doesn't drastically exceed 1 atmosphere internally the hull will remain sound. Otherwise no warship would be able to function based on the previeously described pressure logic.

Probably after Episode IX or Resistance Season 2, so we get a bit more information.
