Christians need to stop thinking everyone else is blind when they themselves don't even know what they believe, why they believe it and where there teachings come from. The doctrine of the trinity is false. I've studied the history of the trinity, tracing from Athanasius to Constantine and thanks to the Holy Spirit, I've left that belief. I believe in Jesus Christ, He is the Father incarnated. The Father, Son, and HS are not sperate "persons" but one person who has revealed Himself in more ways than one. It's important to know, especially when telling others about our faith, the truth about out beliefs. The Trinity has always been a hot topic in the church for centuries after Jesus ascended. It's nothing new. This is a brief summary of the history concerning this doctrine. But centuries ago, in the late 200s and early 300s, the leaders of the Christians church were trying to figure out what the NT books meant when they talked about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Because we have to note that the NT books were compiled around the 3 or 4 century. And this caused confusion The church leaders had no idea the relationship between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. So out of confusion they began coming up with theories, marking out their positions, kicking each other out of the church, and breaking up (this is one of the things that caused the East and West schism which was the break of communion between the Catholic church and other churches) and they told everyone who didn't believe in their doctrine that they would go to hell. The topic of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit was one of, if not the biggest topic among Christian leaders in the year 325. The Roman Emperor Constantine who is sometimes seen as "the first Christian" emperor when in reality the guy was a pagan and saw religion as a way to expand and unite his empire. So Constantine along with some of the church bishops held a council in the town called Nicaea, and these bishops came up with the first version of the statement of faith that attempted to define the relationship between the Son and the Father. The statement they drafted is called the Nicene Creed which is what the vast majority of Christians and Christian churches have accepted as essential doctrine. And yet this is where the church got off track why? because although the Nicene creed does not contain the words "trinity" or "persons" (neither does the Bible by the way), what it DID say about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit set the church on a course towards the doctrine of the Trinity of persons. One or 2 centuries later, the Athanasian creed, another statement of faith which was composed and assembled by St Athanasius, greatly expanded on the Nicene creed and DID include the words "trinity" and persons. This introduced contradiction, confusion, and polytheism into the church even though no one wants to admit it. (notice how none of them, not the church fathers, not Tertullian, or even St. Athanasius called upon the Lord, like the people in the Bible did. Whenever the children of the Lord wanted to know about God they called to Him and He answered. But in this situation, no one did that. None of them claim to even be inspired by God. All of this confusion was created by men trying to figure God out without the Spirit of God. God is not the author of confusion, but we get ourselves confused when we don't consult God about anything. So what is the Trinity? I don't know, I've never been able to figure it out, which is good for me because no one has ever been able to figure it out. When it comes down to it, even the people who believe in the trinity and teach it end up saying that "it's a mystery" that you just have to believe it. In other words, "I don't know either, but I have to believe or else I won't be considered a Christian and I will go to to hell." But here's the idea of the trinity: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are 3 in one. Three who's one what. 3 persons sharing one essence. Each person is God, infinite, eternal, and uncreated; and each has a distinct role, but the 3 persons are still one God because they same essence and always act in unison. No wonder it's called a mystery because in reality it makes no sense. This whole doctrine started when people tried to use their human minds to understand an immortal God without studying and consulting with Him. How can 3 persons be One God? If we look at it this way, how can 3 people be one person? Just because those 3 people are in essence, human, doesn't mean that they are one, those are clearly 3 separate people. For many centuries, millions of words, and hundreds of people have tried to explain the trinity and none has succeeded. The fact is, no matter how many times believers of the trinity say it's one God, they are really thinking of 3. Their lips say "one" but their mind says 3. The Athanasian creed itself recognizes this when it says: - The Father is one person, the Son is another, the Holy Spirit is another. But hte divinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, is one and their glory equal their majesty coeternal. The Father is uncreated, the Son is uncreated, and the Holy Spirit is uncreated. The Father is Lord, the Son is Lord, and the Holy Spirit is Lord, nevertheless not 3 lords, one Lord. The Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God nevertheless not 3 gods but One God...just as the Christian truth compels us to confess each person indivudally as God and Lord, the catholic RELIGION forbids us to say 3 gods or three lords. Because of religion, no one questions anything and this is why God hates religion. It's thru relationship God blessed Abraham, forgave David, and saved us through the shedding of His blood. But religion confuses and stops people from using their brains. The doctrine of the trinity is not a mystery it's a contradiction that is taught no where in the BIble and makes no sense at all.

Let's see what the Scripture says without using their pagan phylosophy (Col 2:8) on the text. The *MINISTRY* of Jesus was considered the beginning of the Word, the beginning of the Gospel. As human beings, we create words to describe what we see and understand to better communicate with each other (i.e., the words omnipresence and omniscient are not in the Bible but we use those words to describe that God is everywhere and all knowing, which is stated in the bible). When John 1:1 says, In the beginning was the Word, it is stating that the Word has always existed. Then it says the Word was with God, meaning that the Word is a distinct person. Then it says the Word WAS God. I don't think any explanation is needed there. Then if you read down a few verses, John 1:14 tells you that the Word is, in fact, Jesus. So using a simple word replacement, John 1:1 reads like this... In the beginning was Jesus, and Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God. This is proof that Jesus is part of the Godhead. I'm guessing that you are already in agreement that The Father and The Holy Spirit are God, correct?

Genesis 1:26 says let "US" make man in "OUR" image. - John 8:58 says before Abraham, I AM.... And in the next verse they pick up stones to try to stone him. Why would they do that? FYI, Exodus 3:14 tells you who I AM is. - Colossians 2:9 - Colossians 1:15 -Philippians 2:6-7 -John 10:30.... Even the Jews claimed Jesus' statement was blasphemy, 3 verses down, which is why they wanted to stone him. C'mon, Jesus' Diety is all over the Bible. This man deceiving skills are very good. BECAREFUL. We are insulting God to think he needs help from a man to come up with a doctrine that is not written, especially that has contradictions. Jesus is a person that's accurate. But God is not a person. John 4:24 said that God is Spirit. What kind of spirit? He is the Holy Spirit. That's why Jesus told his disciples that when you see me you see the Father because they're seeing the Word who was God manifested in the flesh (John 1:1, John 1:3). Jesus did two things, He speaks in behalf of the flesh and blood to set an example to mankind and He also speaks as God. He sets examples to mankind like my 'Father is greater than me', ' No ones know when the Lord return', teaching them how to pray, minister, and baptized. And Jesus is God when he said, 'Before Abraham I Am' , ' If you don't believe that I am He, you will die in your sins'. 'I am the Way the Truth and the Life,' He walks on water, He heal the blinds and sick and of course, the Resurrection. Behind that flesh is God doing all the operations. That's why 2 Cor 5:19 said that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. This is why Jesus said I am not doing my will but the will of the Father because not only God is doing all the operations behind that flesh but set another example to mankind that the Spirit of the Lord gets all the credit, and not the flesh, which got a mind of its own. Did you know Tertullian himself said 'Try to explain Trinity you will lose your mind, try to deny it will lose your soul'. Why the man who came up with this doctrine can't explain it? Google that if you think that's made up. When you look at the Trinity ask yourself these questions. Which one is your Savior, for the Scriptures teaches there's only one Savior. Which one is your Lord for the Scriptures teaches we have only one Lord. Which one will sit on the Throne...By the way 'The Right Hand' in the Scriptures is a position of power it does not mean right next to Him. Where in the Scriptures teaches Jesus is the second person. Where in the Scriptures teaches the Holy Spirit is the third. Do you see the disrespect and blasphemy Tertullian did towards God? Has a matter of fact, he broke the 3rd commandment. Galatians 1:6-10 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel-- which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned! I can't really think too deep on it though, due to the anxiety and mental fatigue that I experience from overthinking, since the seizure I experienced a few years back. I just know that they're 3 different persons and 1 being. All in unison. There are things surrounding it that I have questions about, but I'm having a hard time recalling what they were about off the top of my head.

Hmmm, if we know anything, its only because the Holy Spirit revealed it to us, so we cant claim to figure anything out ourselves. But sorry to hear that. The body doesnt always get it right, but thats why our hope is not in ourselves, but in the perfection and sacrifice of Jesus. Pray for other believers...we all need it!

AMEN! I don't understand why either side of the argument even has to debate this. Things such as this goes over my head. I can comprehend what I'm reading and when I don't understand something in the Bible, I pray for understanding and God gives me revelation. Sometimes we can complicate things that shouldn't be complicated. Lord help us all.

@@emilipurvis7357 what exact heavenly beings? That could mean anything. The bible makes it known that there are different classifications of angels and they do not have any creative properties. If you look into the Hebrew names and Greek terms of God, it will show you a lot MORE than English since it wasn't a language back then.

Jesus never prayed to God the son yet Jesus had a God. Who was his God without a son in it? Jesus said he goes to his God and the disciples God so they had the same God without a son in it. Who was this God without a son in it? Clearly not a triune one. Is your God the same as Christ's?

Christians need to stop thinking everyone else is blind when they themselves don't even know what they believe, why they believe it and where there teachings come from. The doctrine of the trinity is false. I've studied the history of the trinity, tracing from Athanasius to Constantine and thanks to the Holy Spirit, I've left that belief. I believe in Jesus Christ, He is the Father incarnated. The Father, Son, and HS are not sperate "persons" but one person who has revealed Himself in more ways than one. It's important to know, especially when telling others about our faith, the truth about out beliefs. The Trinity has always been a hot topic in the church for centuries after Jesus ascended. It's nothing new. This is a brief summary of the history concerning this doctrine. But centuries ago, in the late 200s and early 300s, the leaders of the Christians church were trying to figure out what the NT books meant when they talked about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Because we have to note that the NT books were compiled around the 3 or 4 century. And this caused confusion The church leaders had no idea the relationship between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. So out of confusion they began coming up with theories, marking out their positions, kicking each other out of the church, and breaking up (this is one of the things that caused the East and West schism which was the break of communion between the Catholic church and other churches) and they told everyone who didn't believe in their doctrine that they would go to hell. The topic of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit was one of, if not the biggest topic among Christian leaders in the year 325. The Roman Emperor Constantine who is sometimes seen as "the first Christian" emperor when in reality the guy was a pagan and saw religion as a way to expand and unite his empire. So Constantine along with some of the church bishops held a council in the town called Nicaea, and these bishops came up with the first version of the statement of faith that attempted to define the relationship between the Son and the Father. The statement they drafted is called the Nicene Creed which is what the vast majority of Christians and Christian churches have accepted as essential doctrine. And yet this is where the church got off track why? because although the Nicene creed does not contain the words "trinity" or "persons" (neither does the Bible by the way), what it DID say about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit set the church on a course towards the doctrine of the Trinity of persons. One or 2 centuries later, the Athanasian creed, another statement of faith which was composed and assembled by St Athanasius, greatly expanded on the Nicene creed and DID include the words "trinity" and persons. This introduced contradiction, confusion, and polytheism into the church even though no one wants to admit it. (notice how none of them, not the church fathers, not Tertullian, or even St. Athanasius called upon the Lord, like the people in the Bible did. Whenever the children of the Lord wanted to know about God they called to Him and He answered. But in this situation, no one did that. None of them claim to even be inspired by God. All of this confusion was created by men trying to figure God out without the Spirit of God. God is not the author of confusion, but we get ourselves confused when we don't consult God about anything. So what is the Trinity? I don't know, I've never been able to figure it out, which is good for me because no one has ever been able to figure it out. When it comes down to it, even the people who believe in the trinity and teach it end up saying that "it's a mystery" that you just have to believe it. In other words, "I don't know either, but I have to believe or else I won't be considered a Christian and I will go to to hell." But here's the idea of the trinity: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are 3 in one. Three who's one what. 3 persons sharing one essence. Each person is God, infinite, eternal, and uncreated; and each has a distinct role, but the 3 persons are still one God because they same essence and always act in unison. No wonder it's called a mystery because in reality it makes no sense. This whole doctrine started when people tried to use their human minds to understand an immortal God without studying and consulting with Him. How can 3 persons be One God? If we look at it this way, how can 3 people be one person? Just because those 3 people are in essence, human, doesn't mean that they are one, those are clearly 3 separate people. For many centuries, millions of words, and hundreds of people have tried to explain the trinity and none has succeeded. The fact is, no matter how many times believers of the trinity say it's one God, they are really thinking of 3. Their lips say "one" but their mind says 3. The Athanasian creed itself recognizes this when it says: - The Father is one person, the Son is another, the Holy Spirit is another. But hte divinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, is one and their glory equal their majesty coeternal. The Father is uncreated, the Son is uncreated, and the Holy Spirit is uncreated. The Father is Lord, the Son is Lord, and the Holy Spirit is Lord, nevertheless not 3 lords, one Lord. The Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God nevertheless not 3 gods but One God...just as the Christian truth compels us to confess each person indivudally as God and Lord, the catholic RELIGION forbids us to say 3 gods or three lords. Because of religion, no one questions anything and this is why God hates religion. It's thru relationship God blessed Abraham, forgave David, and saved us through the shedding of His blood. But religion confuses and stops people from using their brains. The doctrine of the trinity is not a mystery it's a contradiction that is taught no where in the BIble and makes no sense at all.

you are wrong because Scripture is not clear to the point of dispensing the clear proclamation of the faith by the Church.... that is why protestants are constantly projecting new doctrines onto Scripture: they don't want to obey the doctrine of the faith as witnessed by the Church - in fact, if you don't want to elcome the teaching tradition of the Church since the first centuries, you will easily impose your own convictions onto Scriture, and will become blind to the true biblical teaching

Do you believe this teaching tradition is inerrant and thus the Protestants (1500’s onward) are the first men to project their convictions onto scripture?

Yes, stay away from him. Originally, I found him through a Bible study leader that posted his videos about 2-3 years ago. I sensed something was up with him even though his spoken word was uplifted. So God had warned me back then and I informed my friend that he did not believe in the trinity so he may have had other beliefs wrong as well. I then questioned my judgment recently of what God had revealed to me. I made the mistake of congratulating the message of repentance since it is in part of what I had received as well. Marcus could very well still have a gift or manifestation of prophecy but the interpretation is poor. I've seen a few cases like this. Either that or I am being blinded by optimism and he has no such thing of God. Anyways, what I receive currently is that Marcus likes to argue and is still internally puffed up. He does some good things but his lack of understanding causes many to stumble into foolishness. He's now saying that the government is using coronavirus as an excuse to persecute and mock Christians since churches must be closed. He has very poor insight. The main message that I received of God about coronavirus is that it reveals intentions and aspects of people's character more clearly. It should make us all examine how we have been living life, how we respond to our neighbors on the daily. Life was disrupted, and we have the opportunity to examine it. We also have the opportunity to seek God and pray for others and ourselves. We must pray for the healthcare professionals. We must pray for the affected families. We must not get distracted by the selfish desire of this being the end of days or time for the rapture. We need to seize the opportunity to show compassion when we are able to do so reasonably. The virus came due to the folly of man and will remain taking lives if the foolishness persists. Our God is not one of foolishness, and we are called to love wisdom. Christians will be mocked regardless of our decisions, but we should still make responsible ones that help provide hope and takes into consideration the safety of those around us.

That double talk was alarming and then listening to sam and how be unpacked the Bible immediately showed me that there is something wrong with Marcus Rogers theology

@@keishatanoe1067 Jesus the Son is Separate from the Father, In (Persons) who Jesus is personally. The Father and Jesus are one in Being (God). Just like You and your father are different persons, you both have the same being (human).
