It was really smart to use this tune for the piano puzzle. The time you spend trying to memorize it and play it on the piano means you'll remember it when it shows up again and make those moments even more impactful.

The fact that we can help a statue, a non living thing have comfort is one of the purest things about this game. Kindness, man.

*You sit on the grassy hill, and think of doing another RESET. *But then you remember all the memories. *All the visits to Grillby with Sans. *All the dating with Papyrus. *All the pie with Toriel. *All the cooking with Undyne. *The quiz show with Mettaton. *The traps with Alphys. *The dancing with Muffet. *And you appreciate what you have. *All their happy faces when they escaped the Underground. *You will never reset again. And you never did.

Will never stop loving undertale.

I remember having that moment later when I realized who it's a statue of, kinda just sitting around looking miserable. And also why it plays the song when you're nice enough to give it an umbrella.

One of my favorite moments of Waterfall was leaving the umbrella next to the statue and having this play.

*For years, a statue has sat, unmoved, in a small cave beneath a mountain. *Above it, a piece of sky glowed and dimmed. *The statue’s only company was the rain that pitter-patted on its head, slid down its cheeks, pooled in its lap. *It was lonely, only having water. *A child passed by the statue one day, the first thing to see it since its creation. *The statue stayed. *And life went on. *The child came back later. They stopped, sitting so they could see its eyes. *They left. *An umbrella was placed on the statue’s head. *It wasn’t as lonely now. *It remembered the child, and other children. And itself. *It’s not so lonely now. *It has memories.

So someone special passed away huh? So you won't be able to see them again? You can't get them out of your head right? That's ok, it's good you keep thinking about them. Why? Because memories of them will never die if you do.

I've not been the nicest, or most honest, or diligent, in any way. I've hurt a lot of people. Lashed out at people who love me. Hurt friends and family because I was hurting, and it was easier to turn that on others than onto myself. Undertale.. says you can be better. You can't be perfect, and you don't need to be. We can be more than the bad we've done. Asgore. Alphys. Frisk. Both Flowey and Asriel. Chara. Mettaton. They've all made mistakes and have done horrible things. These things aren't erased. But they choose to live with these mistakes. They choose to work to be better. I want to be like them, learn from my past. Ask to be forgiven. Forgive myself. Be better. Besides, the coolest dude ever believes we can. The great Papyrus believes in me. In you. In us.

They say you die twice. Once when your body dies. Once when your name is said for the last time. Whoever they are... Don't forget them, okay?

*The statue* You walk in. Being in shock after what you’ve just learned, you begin to fear what humans can do. You are so caught up with that fact, that you forget to watch where you’re going. You run into an omniscient statue. The omniscient statue does not move, nor talk. It has horns and arms that look withered, as if it is from a different time altogether. You don't like it. You notice that it’s raining. As you observe the rain, you can’t help but notice that it seems as if its entire body is soaked from the chilling cold of the rain. You walk slowly around the omniscient statue, until you’re past it. Even though you have gotten away from it, you start to feel a growing curiosity about it. You don’t know why, but you begin to feel a growing urge to go back to the omniscient statue and inspect it. You know that it is probably a bad idea, but you move over to the statue anyways. You slowly realise that you were wrong, the omniscient statue’s body isn’t completely wet. You notice something dry within the omniscient Statue. Actually, you notice that the entire bottom-half of the omniscient Statue is dry, and that there is a dark, purple box under the omniscient statue. As you notice that, you freak out. You don’t know why, but it scares you. “What could be in that box?!” you cry out. You don’t know why you said that, but you feel as if the omniscient statue could hear you. You run away from the omniscient statue into the next room. You are frightened. You feel as if you’ve done something wrong, as if you just did the statue injustice. But your head thinks that the omniscient statue is after you. Your heart is saying “what a poor statue”, and your head is saying “run away from that thing!” Your soul could have argued with itself like this for a while, but you notice something in this new room. You notice that there are some umbrellas here. By it, there is a sign that says: “take one” You remember the omniscient statue. You feel an urge to give the omniscient statue an umbrella. It never occured to you, but if the statue is sitting there all day with that rain, then it must be freezing. Your heart tells you that it would only be right to give the statue an umbrella. But your brain is not on board with this. You walk back to the omniscient statue. The statue is as omniscient as ever, and the box is as unknown and purple as ever. _But you walk._ There, you see it. Closer and closer. You’re right by it. *A hand is reaching out to it. Your hand. You hold your breath, You hold your ears You close your eyes. ... ... Without looking, you give it an umbrella. ... ... ... *_But nothing happened_ ... ... ... Your eyes are closed, and your ears are shut. ... Slowly, you open your eyes. The box is no longer purple, it is now yellow. ... You take your hands off your ears. ... ... … _*The box is playing music._ ... ... … **The statue suddenly doesn’t seem so omniscient.*

Me: You can't make me cry!! Toby fox: oh really? *Memory theme starts playing* Me: *is curled up like a ball and starts sobbing*

That moment when you fall off the bridge and you realize who's talking to you

Man, will I ever stop listening to this..? Nah, of course not. It makes me smile. Every damn time. See you in a couple of years, when Deltarune is complete. I may finish university, find an aquaintance or become internet famous, but only one thing is for sure. Toby Fox will make you smile again :)

☆~Why My Biggest Dream Is To Meet Toby Fox~☆ Toby Fox saved my life. If I had not found Undertale, I would not be here breathing today. When I found Undertale a year ago, I had no idea it would change my life so much. With time, things change. And my wounds will never fully heal, and I acknowledge that. But little will Toby know that he stopped someone from committing suicide. And as it is coming up to Christmas, I thought I would write this to let everyone know that there is hope. 2 months ago my cousin passed away in a car accident. I remember watching someone play undertail and putting the umbrella with the statue. Watching this made me cry we had so much fun. May she rest in peace. Remember to always buckle up.

After finishing the game, when this played I cried tears of joy... My first exposure to this game was a let’s play on RU-vid, only recently did I play it for myself. A game that I have considered my favorite, only based off of the story, for almost 3 years. Now I fully understand why everyone loves it. It’s honestly one of the only games that I’ve cried whiling playing. I’ve been wanting to play it for the longest time, and I finally did. Now all the times I said it was my favorite, now had meaning. This wasn’t just the ending to a good game for me, it was a dream come true...

Looking back to this, i see alot of people who commented atleast 5 years ago or less. But once i think about it, those people are probably married. Having there best life, some are married planning to have kids now. Some are thinking about all the memories, maybe they had their first kiss. Or they finally moved on from there past and found the love of their life. So many haved moved on and that’s a great thing. They forgot about the stuff they loved The most. Which probably includes undertale, please all our fandoms who gave up on undertale stay safe and thank you for stanning undertale. We will never forget all of our people and more. I hope one day when we grow up married with kids, we will remember our childhood and all the things we left all behind us. I love you all and stay safe.

Wow...... Five years later..... Undertale is still thriving...... It really brings back good memories..... I would sit at that statue for hours....just listening I would even go to the piano.... Try to play the song..... It was all so nice back then...... I'm just happy it hasnt died off.... Undertale can be a really meaningful game sometimes..... And..... When I saw that statue and heard that song........ Man......I don't know what to say but....... I started crying like hell.... Reminded me of..... Lots of things that happened in life...... Even now I really appreciate this game so much more.... I just played it again for the first time in ages...... Sometimes.....Even if it's just a game like this..... I cried during this song. Whenever I hear this music, I suddenly start thinking about all the moments and memories of my past. Whether those moments were sad... Happy... or even with an aura of anger. I feel I want to be a better person and be able to forgive everyone who wrongs me. When I hear this song, I remember the people who have passed away and pray that, wherever they are, they are happy and peaceful.... And that their memories, and all memories after, never die...

My mom told me, when I'm older, if she dies and I'm still in love with undertale...shed let me animate her life with this song as the backround noise....omg i love my mom...

The violent echos that raged in your head is slowly fading away as this song replaces it. It comforts you as it reminds you of the person that held you in thier embrace. You feel thier voice softening your heart, tugging at every emotion possible. Holding onto you, caressing your cheek with thier words as if you were a fragile flower. Rubbing your eyes you feel empty but satisfied, thank you. Your mind is now blank but memories of that special person fills you with determination.💜

Asgore is such an in depht character thats really overlooked, with tons of emotion, hell, he's even extremely misunderstood. he doesnt want to kill you; hes just doing what he has to do for his kingdom. sad to see he's so underrated, and Sans gets all the spot light...

I remember the day one of my closest internet friends had stopped talking to me. I knew something was going on, but i couldnt figure out what. Later that day, one of her friends told me she had commited suicide. I was heartbroken. I wanted to go after her. I didn't see any reason to continue. All of that happend in January this year. Honestly, i still haven't moved on. If only i had tried harder to help her. I can still feel the guilt eating me from the inside. But, i've gotten better. I hope she's happy with where ever she is now. I miss you, Reapy.

I sat, wounded by my fall. My suicide attempt, had not worked. I stared around. Vines were growing on the walls, And Golden Flowers Covered My Landing. Scarlet blood dripped of off my knee, which i had cut during the fall. I blinked, and looked around. ”Hello?” I called. I grabbed one of the pillars and helped myself up. I rubbed my eyes, and called again. “Anybody there? Please?” I thought about how it would be, trapped here, all on my own. I shuddered. Suddenly, I heard a small voice. “Sounds like it came from over here…” I gulped. Who is this? Then, They walked from behind the pillar. I was shocked to see a small furry monster, with a green yellow-striped shirt and black pants. They looked rather.. Friendly. I stood frozen, not making a sound. Looks can be deceiving, after all. “You fell down, didn’t you? Here get up..” They helped me get up, and i quietly thanked them. “I.. I’m Chara.” I told him. “Chara? That’s a nice name! My name is Asriel.” He told me. I smiled at him. “There’s no way to bring you back to the surface, but you can stay with my mom and dad!” He explained. A few weeks ago, I lost my nan. I loved her more than anything. I felt like she was the only person I could talk to about my home problems. She was in hospital, and at 9:00 pm I went with my mum, leaving my two younger brothers with my step dad to go say goodbye. I cried the whole way there, and my mum had to drag me out. I just kept screaming “I love you nan” as my mum finally pulled me out. The next morning she was declared dead. It felt like a bullet shot through me. The worst part? I had NOBODY to talk to about it. The only person I could talk to about it was my councillor. But even then, I felt alone. I felt worthless. I didn’t know what to do. I just needed to get it out. So, here I am. Crying, listening to this, and writing my “story” for a bunch of people to read on the internet. Tbh, I don’t know why I’m doing this, seeming as I hate making others worry or make feel bad bout me. But thanks for reading. I appreciate it.

This song made me really sad once i realilized who's gravestone it was. This had me think many things about how my life was gonna end, and it made me sensitive. This game has many funnny moments, but serious one too. I miss alot of people who've died. As you could say with my life right now, i'm having a "Bad Time", and i need a seccond to look back. Asriel whined, his eyes studied the figure. The shadows covered half of its face, the horns remaining out of the darkness, but covered in ever growing cracks. Chara's eyes searched around them, just to find a rock that had a special glow. "Look!" she raised the little stone above her head, light beaming above it. The little drops of water that covered it made it look like it was shining "How about this guy?" She walked over to the statue and fixed the rock next to the sculpture's leg and proudly smiled at her work. Chara turned around to ask Asriel about her deed but as soon as her head span towards his frame, she ran over to him just to find his little face covered in tears. "Azzy? What happened?" She knealed in front of her sibling, wiping away the tears with her thumbs. "Am I gonna be like this statue? Our plan...If you...If you dont make it...I'm going to be alone!Cracking under the rain..." He sobbed. The girl smiled to him. "Well imagine yourself as this statue." She took the rock and hid it behind her back. "You are alone right? Rained on. But watch this." She put the rock back. "This is me. A little stone next to you, the Prince Of The Underground! Now check this." She gathered 4 more rocks and surrounded the statue with them. "These are all other monsters that care for you. Now you can move them around, but they will get rained on and that will pin them harder to the ground. Our sorrows will unite us more and more and me...I'll keep staying here, because I am the only one that will NEVER leave you...Not even after death." Chara hugged Asriel, rubbing his back in a reassuring manner. His little sobs stopped. "Let's get our friend an umbrella, shall we?"

It's the story and the music that for any known reason gives the viewer/listener a sense of grief, nostalgia, and loss. And it just leads back to Chara's and Asriels story. Hits the feels man..

It's 2021, I still remember discovering Undertale in 2019.. almost a full year after I finished my final True Pacifist route and the memories are still here... it's nice
