Another crazy moment from the game, had to add in the effects from the original moment. Arrangement: MasterSwordRemix - emBer Composer: MasterSwordRemix - emBer - NoteBlock - Figburn Game Link: gamejolt.com/games/UndertaleY...
its played as more of a loss of hopes and dreams for ceroba while clover realizes they can try to help monsterkind achieve their own dream of getting out of the underground
you know, hearing hopes and dreams in that context makes you think about the similarities tbh. ceroba and asriel arent that different if you really boil it down. theyre both people who made a mistake that ruined their lives and made it so theyd never see their families again. sadge. (though, asriel still got it WAY worse than ceroba, lol)
RED FLOWER! BLUE FLOWER! PURPLE FLOWER! OH MY GOD I'M SO CLOSE! Yeah, but then there's also the possibility that it goes through 20 other iterations of purple. Yeah that's what YOOOUUUuuu think.
The typa mfs that make pissing on them out of turn neccessary in this series is so fucking insane >A catgirl >A reverse-orphan widowed fox woman >A robotic gameshow host >A salesman that lives in a dumpster
There is nothing more spine-fucking-chilling than the hopes and dreams motif while she screams out like that. That alone instilled this game as one of the best fangames ever made.
The scream is the sound of a mother, crying for the child she will never see again. The scream is one of a widow on her husband's death bed. The scream is a legacy to never be fufilled. The scream of a mother's love.
I love that the scream isn't really a roar of rage but just more of a cry of anguish. It happens far enough into the fight that she's definitely losing and is the sound of realisation that everything she's doing is going to be for nothing.
I love the scream because this is *exactly* how someone pushed this far would act. i just wish the music would pause for just a second to let the scream be heard then hit us with the Hopes and Dreams motif
Fuck it, that reminded me of how Totttino Pizza Boy pushed Peppino Spaghetti too much, and when he finally broke, Peppino's scream caused a fucking thunderstorm
I had the golden bandana since I did pacifist last and wanted to try out the bandana for once. Thank god I did because it makes Ceroba only deal 1 damage from any of her bullets
@@therealmanguyman Secret armor that makes you only take 1 damage per hit from Pacifist Ceroba and like, 6 from Zenith Martlet. You need to get the Golden Pear from the ruins by backtracking from the room below Dalv's house, hit numbers 1-5 (number shaped holes in the wall) all the way until you reach the room you meet flowey in and hit the 5, then the boulders in the top right of the cave (next to Dalv's house) will disappear, letting you get the item. Next you need the Golden coffee (can be gotten by holding up when leaving through Honeydew Resort's back door in snowdin to enter the micro pool room) Third you need the Golden Cactus which you get by beating El Bailador, getting the Dimensional Satchel, Taking the lift down (which removes the boulders next to the mines, thus lets you backtrack) and then backtracking all the way to that guy in the sandstorm room that had the TNT and the big X Finally you BRING ALL THREE ITEMS to the Clock Furnace in the steamworks (bottom left of the area with manta ray) and pressing a nearly invisible switch in the bottom right of the clock room. Then go to the normally locked door in the top right of the manta ray section. Inside are pedestals where you put all of the Golden items on. SAVE FIRST, THERE IS A BATTLE
After finishing the pacifist route I remember I thought "Who thought that mixing a Japanese doggo, a child and mortal experiments was a good idea? MAN. CHILL. OUT."
The thing I love about this song is unlike Asriel. She isn't the villain she just genuinely wants to feel happiness and the only way to do that is by getting her daughter back.
Asireal: lost his soul, brutally unalived by humans, went through experiment Fox waifu: husband died, killed her own child Asireal: wanted to keep his friend with him Waifu: wanted to kill the child
@@MottomoKuraiHikariI think you're severely underestimating the sins Flowey has committed, as he said he's done everything there is to do in the underground, before Frisk fell down and disabled his save and reset. Ceroba just made irrational decisions clinging onto her late husband's life work. Flowey did it because he could. Knowingly. Which is far worse than Ceroba holding onto what little hope she had left.
The GAME OVER theme is named "Justice" -- which is a heavily-used leitmotif throughout the Undertale: Yellow soundtrack. The whole point is to tie all the different musical tracks together as being part of Clover's quest to seek justice as they make their way thru the Underground....
When I first heard that scream with the hopes and dreams motif following, I couldn’t even fight. I just stared at the screen and cried for a solid while.
the monsters fucking deserve it tho, yet they point the blame on humanity, they probably razed villages to the ground durring the war, killing thousands of people they think that they can play the victim, war is not right, nobody is right in war, and they think they can say "oh, we were attacked, we are the ones who were attacked", asgore waged the war in the first place, and they got what was coming for them, and so they throw a hissy fit, humans did what they needed to in order to end the bloodshed, but the monsters werent sated, they just HAD to kill the fallen humans, "Oh, we need the souls to get out", i bet they would've just started killing even more after they got out In the pacifist route, Frisk does make a change, and the monsters are no longer so bloodthirsty, in every other route though, the cycle of war continues fallout said it well "War, War never changes"
@@whispywoodsfromkirbyreal2426 Just don't forget, humans were the one to start the one due to their own fear of monsters becoming gods after absorbing the souls, not the opposite.
Fear for their own safety, They had a right to be scared, Taking an example from another game, the Kavani Mandate, they attack the Lycentian Federation and Foralkan Empire in fear they will be a problem in the future@@Kristallica
Ceroba is honestly a character that made a feel the emotion of how much you truly care for your love ones. You feel sympathy when you realize she lost the people who were always there for her and promising that she will fix everything and this theme represents that as a mother it’s time to continue that promise.
Didnt thinked a second about "sympathy" when fighted her. and lets be honest, she LIED to clover and to her own friens, even killed her child, and tried to kill us. S H E D O N T D E S E R V E T O B E I N G A L I V E . Right?
The leitmotif of Hopes and Dreams kicking in with Ceroba crying out in despair broke my heart in ways I legitimately can't describe. Undertale Yellow rules cause its making me relive playing Undertale for the first time almost a decade ago.
Indeed Its also a symbol of "ITS ALMOST OVER!" Its now ALL HOPES AND DREAMS one for finishing your mission And another for finishing what their husband started *Two hopes and dreams Clashing And only one may win out*
First time playing i finally finished phase 3 with no more healing items and on 2 HP i legitimately just screamed "FUCK YOU" to my computer screen lmao
Aight let me tell this straight I'm convinced that shortly after the second phase begins (and after the iconic scream) you can hear something that sounds like faint cries accompanying, almost buried beneath the melody. I'm not sure if it's meant to be Kanako crying out or Ceroba quietly sobbing, but you can thank me for the psychic damage I inflicted later.
While doing this fight, i never stopped thinking about how much Ceroba looked like Hisuian Zoroark. I realize that Hisuian Zoroark is probably based off of what Ceroba's form is based off of, but you know what? That looks like a good Mega-Evolution for Hisuian Zoroark.
Ceroba is my favorite character hands down. I remember when this game started development. I remember playing the hell out of the demo. Then the excitement of learning the full release was finally here. This game brought out every emotion for my wife and myself.
@@hanjjazewhat? No she didn’t? This is such easy to find information that the UT team had nothing to do with UTY that I’m surprised you’re so confident about being so so wrong
@@danieljimenez9821unless she has been holding on for that long, alphys always tries new formula of determination injections which all fail and result in an amalgamation. This might result different for kanako as she has a boss monster soul but no further info is given by the devs
@@Charkles01well, for undyne, she got determination, and that gave her a huge power boost (especially in Geno route) so it might be the case for ceroba.
tbf undyne is like hella strong, I won't be surprised if Papyrus would survive that much determination too, but we aren't given much info as to how powerful Ceroba is without determination@@Windvrlikesgorillatag
Ah Undertale Yellow, thank you for another game where the Pacifist them is better than the Genocide theme that I will never be able to listen too properly.
@@longingsoul1 but isn't it a beautiful theme? Frisk's genocide had no meaning, no theme, just senseless killing. Clover's genocide was about a twisted sense of justice and revenge, and of defying fate at any cost necessary, defying the one thing they were meant to be once they fell into the underground. Dead. Any of Frisk's choice would leave them alive. Clover didn't have that luxury. As twisted as it is, in Clover's mind it was the monsters, or them.
I really want more fangames like this. Most fangames is just different sans and stuff and sure there is fangames that is an entire game and not just one fight but what I’m saying is that there should be more fangames with more original characters and/or areas
2:44 ... So, you know the truth now. Are you satisfied? Do you find joy in making me relive in my darkest memories? I never claimed to be a saint. I'm drowning in a sea of mistakes like anyone else. But instead of sinking... I'm chasing the one ray of sunlight peeking through the surface. I tried letting go, moving on... But I guess deep down, I'm too stubborn to live like that. This is my fate. *So this is how it must be.*
Hearing Martlet and Starlo's theme fighting makes me think that Ceroba remembers them. I mean, she thinks of them when she's fighting and it's reflected in the song. It doesn't play in the last phase of the song because she's not focused on them anymore, she's panicked because she's not going to see his daughter again and she's thinking of her "hopes" and "dreams" therefore she's screaming. If I had to do it for the whole song (only for A Mother's love) At first she feels guilty for killing his friends, but she immediately thinks of her purpose her daughter (Kanako). As she fights, you can also hear the leitmotif (forlorn) representing loneliness. This feeling ends when she remembers her daughter (Kanako) and goes on to do what she has to do (protocol). on the one hand, she may think that this is the just thing to do (Justice), even if it is a broken justice. Remembering what she did for his daughter (kanako). Starlo and Martlet will come to mind and we hear their themes (Showdown, Protocol) she now wants to save her daughter, she now wants to end this. but she realizes that she is about to lose all of it. (Hopes and dreams) She believes last piece of hers Hopes and Dreams . Again we alternate between Justice and the Kanako motif. And lastly she loses the fight while still thinking of her daughter Also reason of she is going between Justice and saving his daughter is either she's going to kill an innocent pure child or she's going to throw away this near-impossible chance and never see her daughter again. You have to remember that it doesn't take a human soul to save her daughter... it takes a monster soul too. What a mother who loves her child...
I’m not good at undertale or this game, but I did neutral and geno first, I’m happy this didn’t give me much of a struggle so the emotional weight is there
I thought I wouldn't have to cry again in an Undertale game, I was wrong, due to the nostalgia and weight of the story, in addition to, of course, the ending.
axis and ceroba:clover, we miss chujin clover:what martlet and dalv:clover, we miss chujin too clover:is there anyone in the Undertale Yellow who doesnt miss chujin? *_Starlo_* :
@46.ri9 I think it was from Starlo’s dairy in his old room, at his family farm, I think Also after battle with Ceroba, Starlo admits that Chujin and him never saw eye to eye.
Everytime i get to the part where she screams i want to fucking cry, undertale yellow pacifist run is so god danm sad, it's the only game who made me cry so far
I think "scream" is apt. Ceroba is desperate to kill you and desperate to avoid emotionally confronting the fact. Every psychological pressure she's defined herself by is climaxing at the same moment--she *must* harvest this pure soul, no matter what it does to her own. She has to fix Chujin's mistake. She has to fix her daughter--her own mistake. She has to do something, even though there's nothing left to be done. It's raw and painful. It's the heartache of a mother's love. So she screams.
The mere fact that Hopes and dreams plays with Justice makes me think its that cerobas hopes and dreams are gone but Clover feels he can do something against that
3:19 I love how a piece of ~New World from Toyhou 8: Imperishable Night sneaks its way into a fight against a japanese kitsune. P E R F E C T I O N ! ! !
This fangame is insane seriously I have never heard in an undertale fangame a soundtrack that has a final boss theme just as moving as hopes and dreams
