BALL DATA
Ball Speed Pace at which the ball is traveling when it leaves the club face after impact.
Back/Side Spin Rotations of the ball either left, right, or backwards.
Side Angle Degree angle, left or right, of the ball when leaving the club face left or right.
Launch Angle Vertical angle of ball after leaving club face.
Carry Distance Total distance ball traveled in the air.
Side Total Distance of ball, left or right relative to starting point of shot.
Distance to Apex Distance the ball travels in the air before hitting the peak height of the ball’s trajectory.
Apex The peak height of the ball’s trajectory.
Flight Time The total amount of time that the golf ball spends in the air prior to landing on the ground.
Ball Flight Type Description of the balls initial start direction and overall shot shape.
Spin Axis The spin axis is the direction that the ball is tilted relative to its vertical axis. A ball with a positive spin axis will fade or slice, and a ball with a negative spin axis will draw or hook.
Angle of Descent The angle the golf ball comes down after hitting the apex.
Run Distance the ball travels after making contact with the ground.
Total Distance Total distance the golf ball travels including the carry and roll.
CLUB DATA
Club Speed The speed of the club at impact.
Attack Angle The up and down movement of the club head at the time of impact measured relative to the horizon.
Smash Factor The amount of energy transferred from the club head to the golf ball.
Club Path The in to out, or out to in movement of the club head’s geometric center at the center at the time of impact. Club Path is the direction (right or left) the club head is moving at impact and is measured relative to the target line.

Great video. Have been anxious to see the first in home video of the unit. I am impressed with the sound(or lack thereof) of your studio. Is it microphones or combo of sound treatment and hitting mat?

The mic does a good job but the screen, curtains etc for sure dampen nicely. I’ll try to do a round of golf with EYE MINI lite soon, stay tuned :)

Nice. It seems that gaming PC's have been going down in price so you should be able to find a good buy. Depending on what you plan on running for resolution and screens etc. you can get a heck of a laptop right now for a decent price vs a little while ago. This 3070ti is a solid deal right now 27% off and would run a lot especially 1080p gspro etc. a.co/d/cXqqsSd

So I have seen a few users mention this but my experience has been solid on spin axis. I purposely did this shot shaping uncut as always to demonstrate it out of the box. I plan to more course play etc as soon as I can. Thanks for watching.

I can't wait to get mine. I'm upgrading from an R10. I assume you received yours early since you're a content creator? Or do you have confirmation that they've begun shipping them up? I bought mine pretty early in the pre-order phase. I think right after watching your video from the golf show. Thanks for the content, keep up the great work! One other question, I know there was some concerns about side spin calculation. Specifically to the right so on a fade/slice. I thought I read somewhere that there was a new sw/firmware update. Do you know if they've addressed this already?

If you were early, you’ll probably get a shipping notification by next week I would think. As I’ve mentioned another comments, I really have had no spin axis issues. I know they are always pushing out firmware and software updates and I’m not sure if that’s been specifically addressed at this point, but I can ask them. From what I could tell it was some users reporting that issue.

Jay, Using the View software that comes with the unit, is there an option in the driving range to setup targets like 100 yds out etc.. Or do you just get the driving range? Also, is there an option to follow the ball? I’m currently using a OG SkyTrak with GS pro. And thinking of possibly switching. The one thing I do like with the SkyTrak , is I only pay for GS pro..⛳️

VIEW is just a static range for 3D etc you would want to use GSPRO. These can run simultaneously. Thanks for watching.

Hi Jay, Eye Mini Lite looks great and thanks for great videos showcasing the unit. Quick question…I noticed when you are on practice range and hit a shot it does not follow the ball…just shot tracer shows up. Can this be changed? Thanks, Jeff

Not in the VIEW software. It’s is designed to be 2D and more of an improvement low demand software that can be more easily run on iPad and more entry level PC’s. For full 3D you can then add Refine, TGC2019, GSPro, E6, or others.

Hi Jay, I received my Mini Lite a couple of weeks ago and love it. May I suggest that if you can share to whoever is wanting to purchase one, to make sure they have enough computer power. I believe whomever is interested in the Mini Lite is purchasing it because it's a great product for the cost but if they don't have the computer to run it, it won't work well for them. Uneekor told me that the Lite uses the computer more the the Eye Mini (that's one of the ways they can lower their price). The laptop that I was using had lots for the Mevo+ and GSPro but I had major issuing Refine+ freezing. It seems ok with GSPro when I'm running on the good quality. Fortunately, I have a gaming laptop that I can use resolving my issues. I'm sharing this with you cause I believe your are the best at getting good information out to the masses. 😉 Uneekor recommended specs are; CPU Intel i7 10th Gen or later Ram 16GB min GPU NVIDA RTX 30 series min GPU Memory min Hard Drive 200GB min

So the minimum computer spec is actually to run VIEW or refine. Each third-party software has its own minimum specification. Keep in mind minimum specifications are only minimums, not full-blown resolution like 4K ultra.

Do you know why the “Face to Path” and the “Clubface Angle” is not populating in the video? It isn’t in my set up and I can’t figure out why.

Both very solid based on my testing. BLP is more geared towards the mobile user that doesn’t mind a higher subscription and lite more towards the single dexterity sim users.

I did just test GSPRO and it does switch VIEW to left and MINI Lite then was switched to left.

So the Ethernet cable gets plugged in from the eye mini to your computer and not the modem? What if your computer is plugged into the modem via Ethernet and only has one Ethernet port? Does that mean the computer needs to use Wi-Fi?

Yes that’s the easiest. Use the included Ethernet dongle for your internet and port for MINI LITE

I am really interested in this unit. For the 2-3 times a year I have a friend from out of town come in that is a lefty what options do I have? Not a deal breaker if not possible, but say I am running GS PRO and I know ahead of time that I want to play a round with him. If I have ethernet cable ran to both sides along with power and I play the option to play all the way to the hole {which I learned from you} could I let him play to the hole and easily unplug and play for a righty easily enough? What does recalibration look like MIDround if it is even possible??

So some are just moving the unit to the other side and leaving the cables in front, it can work. It is not meant to be for Left/Right but it can work. I think what most do is let the right handed finish the hole, then flop and let the left finish the hole. Is the case resistant to shanks? I'd be worries about shanking one into the camera. If Uneekor made a case for this, i'd be on board

Yes it can’t take pretty decent strikes. They of course, are not gonna guarantee anything, but based on the metal and the rubber protection around the cameras, I would find it hard to believe someone could break it easily.

I don’t think so, but you never know. They haven’t hinged more club data is coming so I would just assume it isn’t. Like I said though, you never know!

I’ve had the Lite for a few days. Keep losing connection mid round on GSPro. This is the only issue , but is so annoying. Any ideas what to check? Thanks

Interesting. I’ve played quite a bit with no issue. I would check your Ethernet connections and maybe even try a new cable. Are you connected to the main onboard Ethernet adapter? If not; you should be. Use the dongle for WiFi.

Really good video again. In your honest opinion, do you believe there are spin axis issues or any type of inaccuracies that potential buyers should be aware of? As you test the most up to date monitors around, you should be in the best position to give your gut feel regarding this. I know your “gut feeling” isn’t scientific proof but it is a good enough marker for those of us that watch all your videos and trust your judgement. Keep up the good work 👍 Neil UK

I have not had spin axis issues with MINI. I have seen some users talk about this, I am not sure if they have proof of what is going on and/or how they know. I know that when you have thousands of people hitting hundreds of club types, colors, ball, various mats, tees, and swings people can have results that vary. From everyone I have talked to it seems there are a lot more people happy with MINI that not. I plan to continue to test more and will try to do more videos of full rounds of golf which is always good to see all the various shots in action. Thanks for watching!

Yes, this is actually GSPRO software. It’s a 3rd party add on. I have a lot of videos covering it in the channel. It has a ton of courses etc.

I have read in quite a few places that machines sold outside of Europe will not work in the UK. I am also in the UK & considered this option. Please check it out for yourself though 👍

I think there is a geo lock so I would be careful. I think it all comes down to import costs, duties, etc. It is not like the dealers there are just raising the price on their own.

After using my Eye Mini for the last 3 months, I'll say that the inability to use iPad View software is actually quite a big deal. I say this because View on the PC is quite power hungry. I can go from running a nice course on GSPro **smoothly** on the "very high" setting in HD graphics to FPS warnings and major stuttering when trying to run View on the PC at the same time. I can run View on the iPad no problem with GSPro and send the video to a 60" TV I have in the sim room. The cost to build a new computer to run View and GSPro all at the same time would be much more expensive than a full Eye Mini when it's on one of the many sales they have been running throughout the year.

Interesting, I fine VIEW to be quite efficient. I guess it depends on the GPU you have though. I run 3 monitors 4k with view, GSPRO ultra and recording my camera and screen at 4k no issues at all with my 3090.

@@GolfSimulatorVideos You have a LOT of GPU and computer power. I don't think the person looking for the lowest cost nice camera based LM for sim use is going to buy a computer like that. They are likely hoping to use their old gaming PC or laptop. JMO, of course but it certainly describes me.

@@GolfSimulatorVideos Ha ha, I don't run Ultra. I see so many people that have "problems" with GSPro FPS and stuttering and when they don't run View, it goes away. I've read that somehow turning off sessions so they don't load makes a big difference. Or just use an iPad. I guess we'll see how it goes soon as they should ship soon?

Correct. Many companies are going this way. Lower product cost but other streams of revenue.

The only way to avoid that is buying a used GC2, or spending way more money for a fully unlocked BLP or GC3. You'll have to have it for about 7 years to reach the break even point.

Received my mini light last thursday and have had problem after freaking problem. I have yet to be able to get through 18 holes with being kicked out of the shitty refine+ software. No way in hell am i going to pay for the software after the free 3 months. Plus my mini lite wouldnt turn on for 24 hrs…the magically started working. If this doesn’t get resolved soon im returning this trash

I had someone else mention a disconnect. I have not had any. Make sure you are connected to the main on board ethernet using the dongle for your Internet. Also just make sure both ends of that ethernet are connected securely. If anything persists contact support. Could be something simple with the configuration of your system.

I would have already pulled the trigger on one if not for the fact I have to pay UNEEKOR hundreds of dollars a year for the life of the device just to use it with third party simulation software. That's a deal killer for me with any device.

Yeah a lot of companies are going this way, Lower price but ability for future revenue to help offset the lower price but also fund future development. As long as they keep improving the things you get like PowerUCloud etc I think users can find value in it.

Then go GC3. Lots of folks on here have champagne taste on a beer budget. You have to pay for the software in one way or another; upfront or over time. The companies aren’t greedy for wanting a product to be profitable. They would lose money and go out of business if they didn’t do this. Maybe hold out for a few more years a competition and innovation drives prices down.

There's absolutely no reason I should owe money to UNEEKOR every year so I can use the launch monitor I own, in a simulator I own, with third party simulation software I am paying for. Imagine purchasing a laser rangefinder only for Bushnell to charge you every year to use it how you want.

@@joesmith6972 Uneekor has to maintain the integrations to the 3rd party software so it is fair to charge for them. Else, they could make it closed system and you would be stuck with using Refine, which would you prefer?
