Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble.
Build an armoured fort in real-time and arm it to the teeth. Collect resources, develop your tech-tree, unlock advanced weapons to target your opponent's weak points, and feel the satisfaction as their fort comes crashing down.

Coming from someone who has never played Forts: I love watching this content. Been watching these videos since the algorithm suggested them a year and some ago. What i would like for these casting videos is to include talking about commander abilities and what they could bring to the table. I can understand that from a veteran perspective it might seem dumb to repeatedly talk about the same stuff, but it helps to include more viewers and commanders seem to influence strategy to some degree.

It is incredible to see that even six years after its release the forts community still evolves and comes up with new and improved strategies. For example, stability tech was not a thing in this tournament whereas now, one year later every pro uses this essential technique to improve their fort.

The second dead cannon wasn't a door-snipe; it was a hit from the bottom. That's something I've often thought was a bit silly: two or three solid iron doors protecting the front... one thin layer of wood on the bottom.

Pros are pros, so before I finish watching this, I'd like to apologize for what I said last video for all percievable, stirred up, and out-rightly written things that illegitimized victory, and out right skill presented by Felix and Lancen. Not that even a single NaCl molecule was taken from what I said and caused to be said, but you two are clearly excellent players that don't deserve scrutiny especially from the likes of me, a non-player. So, as I resume watching I'm wishing you two luck, o7.

I have a strat that might be worth a good try. If you split the braces after a cannon and make the top one a door and the bottom one an portal you could trick an opponent into going for a door snipe that actually ends up hitting them instead of you.

@Incursus Look at Matteo's lazer stack, it's all immediate, no delay repairs from firebeam when it's all right there. fire then immediate lazer for maximum burn

Watching the entire tournament it feels like energy shields are just too expensive for being the only defence against lasers :/ maybe they need a rebalance or a new material that doesnt reflect them but does help stop massive penetration to a degree. Consistently not defended against at all and won so many matches on the first firing even when behind :

In the first game, it seemed like bobereto and matteo were intentionally trying to snipe their own nukes. Why though? Just to make drunk nukes? I don't play the game, just watch the streams, so I'm not sure what the point of shooting your own nukes is.

These have been fun to watch, but the wins are boring. If another team wins it's because of some entertaining back and forth between missiles with the occasional lucky shot in between. If matteo's team wins it's always exactly the same: plasma fire beam combo and base is sliced in two. Yes it takes skill to aim that precisely, but it's exactly the same every time and as soon as you see those lasers come up you might as well call the match. Banning lasers or the one-two combo of fire and plasma in the future may be wise.
