Usually you can't trust a proud mother who says "oh my boy can sing" when everyone else around her says "no he can't!" But OH MY GOODNESS, John has a phenomenal gift! Oh and the way he hit that triumphant last note, it absolutely gave me shivers! Bravo John!

For a second I thought he might ask Michael if there was a backup plan. Loved the tone of his voice at all ranges and as close to pitch perfect as possible for a live performance. Well done.

By far, the best talent on the Big Christmas Show, and maybe in the whole series. Well done John, a fantastic performance of "Oh Holy Night". You coped remarkably well after literally landing yourself on the big stage like that - but it just goes to show that's where you belong. What voice, a total natural. Very proud. 😊 🎅🏼 🎤 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

Tonight, my first time to see this show. Wow, spectacular, funny and heart rending at times. So far I have watched four episodes, wonderful. One of the best, if not the BEST show on TV. I hope to see every show. Congratulations to all responsible and contributors. Great FUN.

I was glad to see him 'go for it' on that last chorus, on 'divine'. He nailed that note and really put the icing on the song. An evening he'll remember for his whole life.

One, he's one of the cutest Santa's I've seen in a while. Two, John is one of the better unexpected stars I've heard. If not the best. Three, I don't believe for a second that this is not scripted. Nothing on TV is left to chance b/c the production is too expensive to have somebody say, "nope, not doing it. Thank you. Bye."

I think extensive research is done by the team behind the scenes. Long chats with family and friends to ensure that the person being surprised would be able to handle the experience and if it's something they would want to do.

Well done!!! Wasted talent.... I have rewinded and replayed the TV 3 times..and now on sky planner... Share your gift please!! And as for the dog!! Good fur you!!!!!! We love them as family!
