So I gave myself less than two weeks to complete this video from start to finish (which is why there was no time to color ;w;) and wow I am never attempting that tight of a timeframe ever again because it is way too strenuous BUT it was fun to try and challenge myself and I'm proud of how much faster I've gotten! 2 UPLOADS IN ONE MONTH LETS GOOOOOOOO! Next video will be fully colored, I promise!! (This one just had too many drawings/people T_T) What's your most controversial food opinion and do you agree with any of the ones we mentioned? 👀
I guess every Asian person doesn't share Asian taste buds either way even being an Indian I will happily eat those dishes also I seriously don't get it what's wrong with Ginger I get that Coconuts can feel weird in some dishes but Ginger why? Those fried Coconuts are really one of the best snacks
I can articulate the udon opinion she cant: The best part of the ramen isnt the broth, its the noodles. Udon is like if a dumpling fucked a noodle and had a mozart baby that was the perfect consistency. Ramen is like having a tiny hamburger patty in a bowl of ketchup and mustard soup. But i rate soba over both of them. Some soba in oil and salt or soy sauce alone? Chefs kiss. Simple flavors are the best.
I love how daidus defends himself about the coconut ice cream thing by saying he couldn't tell but he then proceeds to say he can always tell when something has coconut
@@nicholasgerald9665 is ok, we live in a society where we dont kill people for they totally, obejctively, 100% wrong opinion that could be considered a war crime against food
So in a 15 minute video, Daidus single-handedly declared war on 2 entire continents. He made fun of most of the biggest Asian foods out there AND said Australia and America were basically the same place.😂
@@oscarramirez2697 that’s odd, cause to me, with the accent and exotic food but overall casual demeanor, it seems like a limey version of America. Guess it’s got a “middleman” feel to it.
wait how do you bully someone into watching the goated anime/cartoon ever made ATLA slaps no one should have to be forced it's good there's even a hot guy zuko emily type if you know you know ;)
So i googled it. Humans can't digest cardboard. We can "pass it through" but this expends emergy. Eating cardboard can be argued to have a negative nutritional vallue because you need a little bit extra nutrients to make up for the loss.
Strawberry ice cream does taste VERY artificial however, you should try strawberry gelato it's really fresh, tasty, and the best part made with real strawberries! :D
lol omg i LOVE how we get to see the conversation through emily's eyes-i love the way she animates their conversations. it really feels like you're there just enjoying time with some friends and watcing them argue chill shit. haha the emotions feel so amplified thru her creative art style
@@loganshaw4527 You can order different types of ramen, besides Instant ramen has no broth. Actual ramen, at least from good restaurants, make the broth apart. Broth is the entire flavor.
@@aerickmon3350 why??? panda express is tasty. it's definitely NOT chinese food, but as far as fast food goes it's not bad at all. it's in a similar situation as taco bell, not at all mexican food but still a nice snack. it's just american fast food, i'll never understand why some people get so heated about it or get upset at people who enjoy it. this coming from someone who actually prefers and enjoys real chinese food btw lol.
Okay I will say that I love udon and ramen fairly equally. It’d be difficult for me to choose between the two. Each have their own flavors and texture, which I greatly enjoy. Variety! Speaking of! 10:38 Daidus getting blown by Connor’s yelling was hilarious! And thank you for clarifying Panda Express is NOT Chinese food. As a Taiwanese/Chinese American, I appreciated that.
That’s definitely important. I feel like calling it American Chinese Food is a good label because it’s not really American food and it’s definitely not Chinese food. It’s a good compromise.

Hi!! Okay I’m returning to this video to say… I have officially tried udon purely because of Emily and Daidus’ (but mostly Emily’s) recommendation! I went to visit my sister in another state over the holidays and she and her girlfriend took us to a nice Japanese restaurant that they loved! I can’t claim to know how authentic to real Japanese food this place was, but the menu was all Japanese food. Not a sign of American food. They also provided a lot of options for food on the menu that I knew were Japanese (even if I didn’t know what every dish was exactly). I ordered their udon plate (mild spice, I didn’t want to go too spicy to start with) with chicken and… I loved it 😂 The noodles ARE thick but they’re delicious and the sauce they had on the dish was amazing, the veggies and chicken were amazing with the udon, and with a splash of soy sauce it made it that much better! My sister (my other older sister who traveled with us) loved it. It was too much food for me to finish but she enjoyed it so much that she took my plate (and something my dad ordered) in to go boxes and ate them at our hotel lol! So I’m an udon apologist. I have yet to try proper ramen, so we shall see if when I do I change my ranking! I don’t really have a ranking, right now it’s just udon since we don’t eat at Asian restaurants much lol!
with instant ramen you know what you get. with other real ramen...... there are hits and misses. i have had some really great real ramen and i have had ramen so bad it gave me food poisoning.
I was confused about the Udon and kinda thought it would taste bad but I recently found store bought instant udon and I absolutely loved it! Now all I need to do is try actual Udon but Emily is valid for liking it. Its so good and I loved that the noodles are heavy
i really wish you did a live version of this and animated one i really wanted to see everyones full reactions , otherwise great video i rewatch this and the trash taste food take episode you were on from time to time
If I had to discribe Australia by comparing it to other parts of the wourld I’d call it “British Texas with some scot Irish blood” I’m American so I don’t know how accurate that is but the Aussie pals I’ve met gave me that vibe

I suspect a lot of it is just portion size. I think she generally doesn't eat as much so an instant ramen is probably a good size, whereas a full ramen is too much. Same with taking the meat out
I’m actually with Daidus and Emily, I’ve tried Udon at my absolute fav Japanese restaurant and it’s so good. Also I agree with Garnt with takoyaki, I tried it recently and as weird as it sounds, I wanted more octopus. Meanwhile on this same trip I found out I loved calamari 😂
You now need Sydsnap, Akidearest and Kaho Shibuya to join Emi and Meilyne for a video about food opinions: we got to see how the four guys stack up, how about four girls against Emi?
as a udon enjoyer i have to admit yes it's power cable thick but it's good tho, and thick broth just slap, ramen is good, i could eat ten bowl easily but if i have to choose between udon and ramen i'm taking udon, and god excuse me for what i'm about to say but whenever i find instant udon and ramen i usually exchange the sauce and toppings between the two and make the ramen a little spicy with red pepper flakes before eating the really spicy udon (yes i love spice my favorite dish in the world is tteokbokki and it literraly just 70% spicy sauce) and usually if i still have some spicy sauce (because some times for no reason the same ramen brand i buy everytime put two spicy sauce packet instead of one) i put it into a egg omelet with cheese
That “I’d rather eat instant ramen over actual ramen” was the start of Emily’s food villain arc. I could hear the betrayal and worlds shattered from here
Ok my one cent: If y'all ever decide to take a tropical vacation, specifically to Puerto Rico (lol I live here), you NEED to try the Chinese food. Any Chinese place. The Chinese food in any latin country or island is AMAZING, way better than Panda Express. Plus you need to sub the fries with tostones, especially the garlic covered tostones. Those are heaven.
that's not even close, frozen pizza should be considered a spit on genuine pizza places (not dogshit food chains but actual spots) instant ramen is not frozen, that's already a good point, but they're actively trying to improve on the recipes
To be fair, both were former colonies of England. One was used exclusively for criminals and the other essentially became criminals with their rebellion, so they are similar in a historical sense.
In my head I was going "ONE OF US, ONE OF US, ONE OF US", even though we aren't that similar, I still think America and Australia are the most similar of the ex british colony countries, culture wise. love my Aussie friends :)
So melon bread, here in mexico is called concha and it´s almost part of our religion. However I think there in Japan they eat it without being stuffed so I understand where you are coming from. But try it with cream ("nata", IDK if it´s cream, here cream is another thing but I will trust google translate), and sugar.
finally tried yuzu and i gotta say, as someone who always wanted to eat lemon cleaner, THAT SHIT SMACKS, love yuzu so much now thank you for bringing it to my attention hshs
I would die for a 12 episode anime with your artstyle. Just watching you daidus and whoever else get up to antics in this adorable artstyle would so enjoyable 🥹
My girlfriend actually introduced me to black bean noodles and yakisoba a while ago, and I absolutely loved it! We even had the chance to try out takoyaki one time and it was genuinely a fun experience. 😁
This format is mint. I think this is why childhood crushes series was so good. Its a podcast vibe with epic visuals. With the TT boys close by, you will never be short on content
Now that Connor, Joey and Garnt have weighed in, we need Kaho, Aki and Sydney for Part 2 of the "Food Takes" series. I would love to hear Aki's opinion about Joey thinking about her taking him to "Outback Steakhouse."
“What do you mean it tastes like nothing?!” Daidus sounded so sad and offended 😭😂 Also I’m half Asian and don’t like…. Rice… I burnt a bowl of it in the microwave :D…
12:01 As a Hiroshima citizen, I cannot overlook the fact that Garnt said okonomiyaki is overrated. And Joey, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for defending our pride, because OKONOMIYAKI IS NOT A FXCKIN PANCAKE-----
Ate Hiroshima Okonomiyaki yesterday for the first time. Such an awesome dish, they probably only ate the Osaka version, which is also good but not as good.
If the ice cream brand is good the triple combo of strawberry/chocolate/vanilla is great actually, because you can combine vanilla well with both strawberry or chocolate.
I really like this style actually! If you did a few two frame animations instead of stills here and there, and made the people more distinct for people who aren’t familiar with all 5 of you (such as making everyone a certain color like Daidus (oh no how do you spell it)) I could see this being a good format for podcasts/convos instead of full stories like you often tell
@@SonicRyan1992 yeah I noticed he was drawn with the shirt with the stripe on it, which was nice, but I don’t know the other twos voices very well which was confusing
I just watched a video by JaidenAnimations, and you have literally the exact same voice XD Probably that and your relatively similar drawing styles cause me to mix you two up in my head all the time, where I remember some video but don't know if it was you or JaidenAnimations who made that video XD
I like that Emily, Lady of Udon presents herself as a damsel but she switches so hard to tsundere. "Defend me properly or there'll be no one to defend you!" Daidus reminds me of Karl Pilkington.
I think odon is less oily and better for treating stomach bugs, like when I have a stomach bug and eat ramen,my butt will be like a broken facet, but with udon it's ok
At the 2:50 part just reminded me when I was a kid my grandparents used to always get those ice cream but the problem is my brother would always get the chocolate and vanilla and when I would go and eat the ice cream there will be only strawberry because I was always too late to get anything else
