I was a kind of atheist, the war in gaza brings me back to Allah. For the last 3 days I'm praying five times. May Allah please with us my friend.

I love that you put the feeling into words. I have no connection to any Palestinians but I also am living with guilt - when I eat, when I spend time with my children, when I change my babies clothes. I treat it as a reminder to make dua for them. As the days go by, I also think about how long their going without food and water. But when I make dua, I make it with certainty that Allah knows what is best, and we do not. Perhaps on the Day of Judgement, it will be us wishing we had their reward. May Allah hasten their relief and make them victorious in this world and the Next.

I’m still a bit recovering from the inside but I’m so happy الحمدلله that الله Allah had written for me to leave the group.

The fact that i just unfriended the only friend that i had which was a male yesterday and i also sent him a message saying I m cutting ties with you for the sake of allah and NOW today I see this video and Im like no way could this be a sign that maybe allah is proud of me ??? I am trying to cut ties with many people as well because I am in a phase in my life right now, where I don't understand the meaning of having them in my life, maybe I never did but I just ignored..especially seeing how 'careless' they are currently! It was fun when I was 21, 22 but now that I am getting older in my mid 20's, it disgusts me how nihilistic they can be. Everything they think about is food, having vacations and pictures etc.. I don't get it. They even treat me like I am thinking too much and being too loud and sensitive about many topics (Palestine, Kurdistan, Congo etc..). I feel like they are troubling my brain, without doing anything. The title 'unfriend them' really hit me on my feed. I even don't ruse instagram anymore (use it only for the news) as well just to stay away from them (since I cannot be as direct as you were -yet- I have to see them everyday at the university). this is sooo timely.. i had to say no more than once to my non muslim friends bcz they wanted to do sports with the opposite gender.. it took me a bit of time to just say no without thinking a lottt.. it really is hard sometimes when you know you're the only one setting boundaries & other muslim girls don't... so then they look at me differently & i always stand out as the odd one out.. i also had to say no to going to parties & hang outs in apartments of male colleagues.. its very hard to refuse knowing that they'll abandon you.. but nothing is worth it.. as someone who overthinks a lottt, the only thing that comforted me was that i should be more worried about pleasing Allah than pleasing people.. pls keep me in ur duas.. ❤i really needed this reminder may Allah protect you, bless you with His Choicest Barakah Rahmath & Hubb & keep you safe from all evill. I dont think that cutting any male people off as women is right because it seems like you are self centered and self-absorbed when you think that males giving you attention will already lead to something haram. As long as both genders are professional and respectful to each other without any inappropriate actions, it is fine. It is not necessary to shut them off and block them because there is interaction is going on. Just avoiding them straight up can be rude and they will think that you think less of them which can be disrespectful, from my perspective.

i recently did this with a friend. the last thing i told her was if she could take down a video of me with makeup, the way she responded was passive aggressive and then once i saw it down the next day i removed her from everything and blocked her. I could have sent her a paragraph like i did with another person i was close with but i didn't feel like it was necessary this time. And the last person i did this with was offended that i choose Allah over them. They both disrupted my peace and encouraged haram. And just because we shared many laughs doesn't mean they were good for me. I do still wonder what they think of me, "the girl who became too religious". But i rather have them think of me as such than what i was once before
