There are literal hundreds of these "Don't eat this thing" videos all over RU-vid. Funny how I've eaten these things all my life and haven't keeled over yet.
I eat dried beans as well but I can't imagine eating them with no salt. You are very dedicated to eating healthy. Of course, I don't have hypertension or diabetes (yet)😊
And seriously, what in America isn't bad for you? Most of the foods here are banned in sane countries. Even our "fresh" foods have been screwed with. I can't even drink filtered water here. Ick.
All beans should be avoided, unless the manufacturer soaks the beans at least a full 24 hours and drains away the soaking water. The reason beans should be soaked, is to leech out oxalates. Oxalates contribute to the creation of kidney/gall stones.
Authentic Southwestern Texas Chili does NOT have Beans in it !! The First recipe for Chili Con Carne was put on paper in 1731 by a Nun, Sister Mary of Agreda of Spain. She was known by the Indians of the Southwest as '' La Dama de Azul '' , lady in blue. The recipe called for Venison or Antelope Meat, Onions, Tomatoes, and a assorted kinds of Chile Peppers ! BUT NO BEANS !! In All of the Chili Cook Off Competitions if one puts any kind of Beans in their Chili , it's an automatic disqualification from the event ! NO BEANS !! Beans are a side dish that is served with Cornbread or Corn Muffins or Tortillas !
High intake of salt daily WILL lead to high blood pressure, and can and does lead to strokes and heart attacks (if you survive either). It's called THE SILENT KILLER for a good reason!! Do yourself a favor and educate yourself on it, your body will thank you if you make life style changes.
@@RIODJENIRO1 IDGAF covers all that. Most of that information is false. Government created your statements because certain big conglomerates paid them to do so. Don't waste your time trying to gaslight me with any other nonsense. Heart attacks and strokes happen due to genetics. Nothing more.
So Sick of all these food videos! Everything is unhealthy and it’s going to kill us! Beef is bad for you Pork is bad but chicken but goto chicken processing company you want eat chicken ever! It’s not the food it’s the preservatives in the foods
Beans 🫘:::::: won’t you eat them? It goes through everything in your body. It goes at the end of your colon to let rots and you wonder if he got cancer doing this shit all the time with crappy beans
A Mashed video a year or so ago did a taste test and said Bush's Vegetarian Baked Beans were the best canned beans. So I tried them and found that Mashed was right (they are excellent) and now eat them regularly (and lost weight, too). Should I stop eating these?
I just want to comment that chili beans are NOT the product you described, at least in the US. The Hormel and other brands you showed are CHILI, as in chili WITH beans. Chili beans, best known brand is Ranch Style but there are others. Chili beans have seasoning similar to chili, but are different. Also, most canned beans are HIGH in sodium, and it’s never clear from the can label how much sodium can be removed by draining and/or washing. I’ve found that many beans labeled “organic” are much lower in sodium than their not-organic counterparts, but are more expensive. Making from scratch is the best way to control sodium, but takes more planning. Frozen home cooked beans are great, though.
Bush's baked beans are way too sweet.. I just put a ham hock in my slow cooker, and the ham hock cook until tender. Then add my pinto beans that I soaked overnight and wash them again. All I add is my seasonings and onion and garlic and let them cook down until done. All I do is make a pan of cornbread 😋.
Mostly salt is a problem for those who have heart or kidney disease. Salt doesn’t cause the problem, but it does more damage for those who already have either disease. these appeared to be the most common related to salt intake. There are others for sure. Other than that, Salt has many benefits as well.
