All through school we were never allowed to spray perfumes/body sprays (started enforcing this more in jr high obviously) due to people having breathing problems, but I never even considered if people were literally allergic to the spray itself. I know because it happened one. She was almost dying because of a perfume. People need to respect boundaries because they don’t know how horrible and quickly the situation can turn.

Lol, yeah I’m both gay and a chemist for my profession, so I’ve actually made and used various nitrite ethers for a few of my projects before. Also, for anyone curious, there are many different types of poppers, amyl nitrite is only one of many. FYI, some poppers are more detrimental to your health than others. Ones with long straight chained carbon tails are worse, like pentyl nitrite, and hexyl nitrite. The best ones for your health are smaller ones and ones with branched structures like propyl, and isopropyl nintrite. If you are exposed for long periods to the larger straight chained ones, you can develop fatty buildup in your corneas in a similar fashion to cataracts. It can cause spotty, reduced, or in severe cases, complete loss of vision.
