When the Indian Buddhist Bodhidharma (former prince, military and Kalaripayattu expert) arrived in China around 500 AD, he learned the weakened monks at the Shaolin Temple 9 exercises to stay fit. Out of these exercises 172 movements emerged and became Kung Fu. Shorinji Kempo meaning "Shaolin Temple Fist Method") is claimed to be a modified version of Shaolin Kung Fu. It was established in 1947 by Doshin So a Japanese martial artist and former military intelligence agent. As an acknowledgement, decades ago China made a movie about Bodhidharma.
When you swing around use not elbow exactly but energy through elbow like opening a kitchen cabinet with knob, the cabinet door opens like an elbow bends on an equilateral triangle but passes through knob or more induction based. At least, that's how I think of it.
I agree wholeheartedly with this as around 1998-2000 i drew up a training program for all athletes based on this very principle; but more on the idea of offensive and defensive moves; That all footwork is based on those two premise/ metrics?! In this reality one should be able to drill each code of sport into a refined art by breaking down each movement incrementally and thus drilling that into a whole! I was successful with the few athletes I instructed but sadly did not go with my coaching of others; only myself of recent; great content! Subscribed
Excellent knowledge given . After many years of martial arts since 1977 I was taught this theory as a student and later as a teacher we stepped left we stepped right backwards forwards and so on but it's a simple technique that a lot of people had trouble with

You will not get one single solution for all these problems I suggest you stay alert and be aware of the current affairs know your surroundings and work on your communication skills... to be able to handle an emergency situation .... you must have some training or at least you must have thought about the possible challenges and how to deal with them well in advance... for example ... equip yourself with the basic knowledge of first aid ....know what number to call to get help.. etc... people definitely respect physically strong people but, along with that being resourceful, being the most reliable person in the room will help in commanding respect.... people don't respect power ... they respect service.... if you are an asset to your team, family, friends etc people will naturally like you. (wrestling, boxing, muay Thai, BJJ , karate , kalari, are good places to start)
