Was having 2nd thoughts of my AVX purchase but I think I feel better now that I saw your video! Thank You!

Great! Glad to hear it! It'll be had using any other wireless mic systems after you start using it. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

I've been using it since 2017 and I love it. Only downside in my opinion is the short battery-life of the receivers.
@envycreative
@envycreative 4 года назад
Yep! I agree. Thankfully they can be charged/powered over usb while using them. We did have to buy an extra battery for them just to keep it in rotation.

@@envycreative How long does a receiver last with 1 battery? Considering upgrading but trying to find the 'flaws" before I buy something wrong :)
@envycreative
@envycreative Год назад
@@CrainerEU The receiver is the part we don't need to charge that often. I would say it lasts about 6 to 8 hours on a full charge, but only takes about an hour to fully charge. Thanks! Feel free to let us know if you have any questions!

I've had a pair of AVX systems for a few years and use them professionally. The receiver batteries last about 4 hours. I have two for each system and have never had a problem.@@CrainerEU

Hello, i'd like to buy it, but as a singer, in a P.a would you recommand it? And with that frequency plan, isn't there many chances to be on the same channel as a Filmmaker in a wedding, for example, if he has the same system ?
@envycreative
@envycreative 2 года назад
With these kinds of mics, they have different channels, so they will look at all the available channels and choose the one that does not have any interference. We used these once at a place where there was lots of filming going on and did not have any problems. Hope this helps and feel free to let us know if you have any other questions!

Oh dear! It's not on the 2.4 GHz band. It uses 1.9 Ghz which is the cordless phone band and much less cluttered. Also licence free. Works superbly well in wifi crowded exhibition centres as a result.

I have both the lav and the handheld version of the AVX. Sennheiser doesn't seem to produce the AVX system in big volumes, so they can be hard to source. It's a well worth investment though.

Do yoi think it s a good idea to buy 4 sets for 2 lavs and 2 booms and connevt all receivers to zoom f6 ??
@envycreative
@envycreative Год назад
We would definitely recommend getting a set of 2 lavs. However, after we've used these for a while longer, we have used them for boom mics in a pinch, but we actually still prefer to use our boom mics wired, just as a for-sure backup that the audio will be good, since lavs can still be unpredictable when it comes to placement and sound, since there are a lot of factors involved. Thanks! Feel free to let us know if you have any questions!

Thank you for the review. Kindly any notes regarding the delay, especially when using a wired boom mic and a lav (AVX system) at the same time (I mean delay during recording and also listening). 😊

Yep! We have used them for a wireless boom as well and we can't see any delay on that either.

@envycreative
@envycreative 3 года назад
@@EuCanProductions Yes. That's correct. But, we did pickup this other device which injects phantom power into mics, which is really small and rechargeable that has been working great for just this purpose: bit.ly/3yBy6zQ

I've owned the AVX Combo kit since 2017. Whilst the handhelp mic has worked good on showfloors, I am not getting good audio quality from the lav. I've got the omni directional lav mic that came with the kit and I've only used it with the clip-on clip. Since this is the only lav I've used so far, I don't know much about it. Do you think that upgrading the lav mic would be worth it for better quality? Also, very well shot review video! Really amazing work
@envycreative
@envycreative 3 года назад
Thanks much! If you got the kit that comes with the ME2 lav mic, then you will definitely hear a difference if you upgrade the lav mic to the MKE-2 lav mics. We actually bought both sets when we bought ours to see if the MKE-2 was really worth the additional couple hundred dollars, so we could return it if we wanted, but you really do get much better audio and cleaner sound with the MKE-2 lav mics over the ME2 ones. Hope this helps and feel free to let us know if you have any other questions!

Just would like to know if the receiver is waterproof/water-resistant . Thanks
@envycreative
@envycreative 2 года назад
Nope. Neither are water-proof. We have had them around water, but we also don't think they are water resistant. Thankfully, since they are so small, you can easily put them in a ziplock bag without losing any signal and waterproof lav mics are pretty easy to come by as well. Thanks and let us know if you have any other questions!

I managed the pairing and the green light is consistent with both receiver and transmitter. I set my Canon C100 MKII to ext mic. However, the sound is not received through the camera? Is there something in the camera settings that I am missing?
@envycreative
@envycreative 2 года назад
Thanks for the question! Be sure that the level dials on your camera are turned up. Or better yet, we found that just leaving them on "auto" (the "A" setting right below the dials) does a great job too! Also, be sure that the switch is set to "MIC +48v" - bit.ly/3DOhxTG Hope this helps! Feel free to let us know if you have any other questions!

I find that my AVX set in combination with the MKE2 lav, has significant cable noise. Especially when compared to my G4 set with the ME2 lav. Switching lav’s between the transmitters doesn’t resolve the issue. It seems to be inherent to the AVX set. (I have two, both display the same issue) What are your experiences with regards to cable/friction noise? Edit; typo
@envycreative
@envycreative 3 года назад
Try to see what the audio level is on the receiver (press the AV button on the side to see how many lights are on). 4 lights means it is on max volume and might be causing the noise. We usually keep it on 1 or 2 lights. You might also want to check the audio level on your camera. One other thing is we just had to replace our MKE2 lav mic because it was getting static and we found out that it was the cable itself. Hope this helps and let us know if you have any other questions.
@dingdong5601
@dingdong5601 2 года назад
Nah, it's the characteristics of the MKE-2... LOTS of handling noise. Superior mic indeed but it comes with extra fiddling to use. Be sure to make a loop in the cable near the mic capsule and tape any hanging cable to prevent it from moving. This should take care of 90% of the noise.

I have the ME2 but I need it to work with my iphone. Not sure how to do that. Any good ideas for a camera under $800 to shoot video and stills? My husband is a pro storyteller and I do many of his videos. I've been using my iphone but the sound isn't good. Either need a way to use my AVX with the iphone or i need a new camera under $800 that can use the AVX mic with. Thanks

11 months late, but these mics and most other lav mics can conect via 3.5mm jack wich is what most phones use anyway.
@envycreative
@envycreative 3 года назад
Yes, these is a way you can use the AVX system with your iPhone! Basically, you would need to get a XLR to TRRS adapter (amzn.to/3zpYvjL). Then, you would just plug the TRRS into the iPhone's 3.5mm jack to lightening port adapter and that should work! Also, we just did a video on the Canon 80D, which is within your budget and does great video and photos: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8FwC7i9Dw5k.html.
