Build a hi speed golf cart that you could run on job sites or on the trails . Must be 4x4 , maybe a mini tow truck to bring the OddFathers home after the carnage 👍

Our lockdown status has flip flopped more than the fish I pull from the lake my friend - went from stay at home orders, to no guests in the entire reservation, to masks on and no federal grounds open, to open everything (then close it again), county by county. THEN its region by region, and now back to county. I'm glad I stay in a rural area, I do what i want anyway.
My grandfather's boat has a Mercury Thunderbolt 40hp 2 stroke with that type of spark plug. Bit of a pain to find those kind of plugs, very few engines used them.
I would mount it between 2 wheels like a gravely type concept and use it for everything weld square tube to slide in mud kart, street kart, use it to move trailers and cars around. Make a 1 motor moves all.
We had a Johnson phantom 35. My grandpa bought it last year they were sold. Pretty hard to pull start in winter. The starter seemed strong. I remember that spark plug. Very torquey
use the second hole the pen hole put a valve in it .. use it for compression relief like on a chain saw .. that way if battery weak it will help rope start ,, also maybe build a drag mower .. never enough projects .. got enough for a lifetime still getting more ..
Had no idea that anything smaller than a car ever had a rotary engine, crazy... 5500rpm is a bit higher power band than your standard 3600 or below OPE engine. Whatever you do will presumably need some fancy transmission-ing but you've got the experience to do it
Over the years, I've learned of many neat rotary-powered goodies. There were little nitromethane powered rotary remote control aircraft engines, there was a chainsaw, and a pushmower, too. Obviously some snowmobiles, and I haven't seen one but I heard whispers of an outboard boat motor!

I am thinking some sort of racing Go Cart. I would not place it on a mower and run it through the mud. I think running this motor through the mud will over heat it and as you said finding the parts to repair it will be next to impossible. Additionally I think that it is supposed to run on 2 cycle engine oil. I can't remember if you mentioned that or not, but I would hate to see you run it on regular fuel and burn it up.
Sprocket's Garage - howdy, the rotor seals, aka “rings”. It very specifically said to use only omc 2 stroke snowmobile oil. My dad came upon a case of metal quart cans of Amoco 2 stroke oil which we used. It made me nervous, and eventually she died. I wanted to take it apart but old man gave it away while I was at college. I would try to find out what that oil was and be sure to mix it to proper ratio. Very cool motor. The local ski resorts used them for ski patrol. 24” wide tracks! IIRC.... I’m located in northwest lower Michigan. Good luck with it!
Not impossible, but would require a complete change of driveline. First, because Fugazi is all vertical shaft stuff right now, second, I'm pretty certain that this engine would shred the Peerless 820 transaxle.
Actually, it's really funny you mentioned that. I just watched that particular episode a few days ago and it was one of the factors in me shopping around to find this engine!
When I was in probably middle school my friends older brothers friend had one of those rotary sleds he dragged out of a barn somewhere and I remember he couldn't get that one to run either

how much torque does it have? Would it be right to assume it makes its 35hp at a high rpm power band. If that's the case then you probably going to be building whatever project towards speed.
hi michael brown in n.c. it needs to go in a motorcycle for the road with a snow mobile cvt or a 6 speed from a H.D. it would have great rpms ps or a hydraulic drive from a zero turn mower this may best to a shaft drive motorcycle thanks[ MBE] MICHAEL BROWN ENGINEERING
I'm from Peterborough there was one sold in a auction in a new in a crate along with a complete sled I can't remember exactly but was before covid its cool this stuff is floating around we had omc in Peterborough I think a lot of stuff went out the back door
@kemc2724 Man, that's cool. I got mine off Marketplace, had to drive down to Toronto for it. Wasn't in a crate or anything. Showed signs of age, but not use. I still haven't put it in anything, but I was thrilled to get it running off that boat CDI.
I'd actually like to, but it's not very practical for my situation. Not having wheels on it, and being short for storage space would make things difficult. Neat idea, though!
@@danielauen7790 I don't think a spinning dorito would be at home in a perfectly scaled down "stock" Model T, BUT there IS an idea I've been toying with for a few years. Google "Cyclekart". It's basically a scaled down open wheel racer from the 20's and 30's. This engine doesn't technically fit within the accepted Cyclekart build specs but then again, I'm WAY more concerned about what I want vs what the world demands. Anyhow, this might be what happens...
