The biggest piece of advice I live by is, “no, is a sentence.” I used to say no then explain why I’m saying no. Now I just simply say no. My no needs no explanation.
i do see the point of “a job is a job” thing-regardless if it’s something you’re passionate in or not-to me that’s why i prefer doing careers that i love to do so it’s “easier” to handle lol-plus that’s why i wanna have multiple careers so that not only show my talents but also if i feel tedious in one career, i can hop over to the other one
I remember trying to find a college to go to when I was younger. Everytime I would call said college, they would ask the question of why I felt passionate about this particular career. I hung up the phone every single time they would asked me that, and around the third time of me doing that I realized something. I realized I was never trying to get into college because I knew what I wanted to do or I had passion for a certain career. Rather I was trying to get into college because, that's what I was told I should do. Think for yourself people.

I see where "stay in a toxic relationship" girl was going with it, but there's definitely a better way to learn a lesson than to get beat over your head with it. You have to have a understanding about why it's bad for you that goes deeper than "I was taught that this was bad". That's what it means to do something for yourself. Blindly following rules, good or bad, will never stick

Yea I agree do not stood down to peoples levels. Being the bigger person is one of the keys to adulthood. Not everything needs to be entertained or have you’re attention. Put yourself first, never let someone take you out of character because that’s you letting them win.
Most people have always been followers that base their opinion of the herd. It has nothing to with social media. If you at history before social media existed you will find out that people have been more of followers than they are today. Things actually have gotten way better compare to how it was 100s of years ago

That girl at 8:29 is the energy I have for people who wrong me in any way including family but I’ve learned to keep it pushing for my own peace of mind lol…I loved tearing people down with fucked up vicious words and if they felt some type of way I was always more than down to get down 👌 now though I keep that energy tightly under control because that is what is was the opposite of, it was a lack of control over negativity

I would say if you aren't sure about what you wanna do in college, you should still go, but you should stick to the STEM fields, and at least earn a Bachelor's degree, at the cheapest accredited university you can find. Don't go to college and just get a history, or English degree, because you did pretty good at those subjects in high school or middle school, and everyone made comments about how you'll do that when you're older. Go into medicine, or engineering, computer science, or something "boring" like that. That's what I did. It was a serious struggle, but I am in a better position now than I think I ever would have been if I had followed my passions. Passions, I might add, that have changed since I was younger.
In my opinion it's better to have a job that you are passionate about and also pays well enough for you to stay easily financially stable and afford a few luxuries since we tend to spend like most days working for 8-10 hours, it is important we are happy during that time considering how it takes a large portion of our already short lives
Honestly for anyone who is young and unindependent that are lgbtq+ PLEASE PLEASE, make sure your family is OK with lgbtq+ family members, before you come out. (Story time) I had a friend their family seemed very on with gay/Trans ppl they seemed to support the issues and didn't know why others hated them, but when friends can out they abused her and kick her out cause they didn't want their daughter being gay. It's was OK for others but it didn't sit right in their own family. I'm not saying oppress yourself but it's basically life or death for some. Become independent before coming out. You can get hurt. It was the best thing I did Honestly. I'm not everyone but I'm just saying
Not to take away from this story or the well intent behind the comment, but I'm pretty sure that's the very opposite of an "unpopular" opinion. One of the first things that people say when you're planning on coming out is so make sure it's safe.

@@soggytomales893 there's definitely people like that, and as I said I'm not trying to take away from your comment because I think it's very important for LGBT youth to know this, just letting you know that's you're not in a minority! Most older LGBT people would say the same. It's definitely a good thing to keep putting out there though, you'd never know who needs to hear it! Have a great day
Follow up from the last clip. I use to be like her, beating up girls left and right with mean ass words if they're rude to me but now I just troll people who “come for me”. Like why be upset at people bothering you? They want YOUR attention. Not the other way around. Sometimes you have to make light of the situation. Give someone a paper with a fake number on it and tell them to continue the argument at a later time so you won't fight on an empty stomach. Idk whatever. People always get thrown off by my comebacks that they leave me alone after. It works for me. This won't work for everyone.
The girl talking about bullying... People think everything is bullying nowadays and can't even take constructive criticism even if it seems a little blunt. I believe bullying builds a persons character you either learn to deal with it on your own or don't and let it continue. There will always be bullies through out your life.
