Okay so in my mind, the symbolism of his “fuck the patriarchy” keychain being on the ground means he publicly touted that sentiment, vocally supported the notion (for show), but didn’t actually exhibit it in his actions. He wore it like merch, but didn’t show it in how he treated her.

I don’t know if y’all saw, but taylor posted an Instagram with the caption “Red is about to be mine again, but it has always been ours” Mine, and Ours. TWO references to Speak Now songs. Blondie does nothing by accident. Speak Now next 👀

And I would literally die if back to December gets a short film.

WHAT? The albums after reputations became basic? Folklore and evermore are her best albums (in my opinion). Actually, these are my favorite 2 albums of all time. The poetry, the storytelling, the intricate narratives. They are something special. And I can't personally relate as an adult to her earlier albums about high school breakups and boys. Sorry. Just my opinion 🙏🙏🙏

I love it and think it adds to the anger and frustration of the song, which is no longer just pure sadness (cue to ATW sad girl autumn version lol) I think the next rerecording is going to be 1989, but I am praaaaying for Speak Now. Okay DON'T DRAG ME but I think she's going to start the year with a RELATIVELY weaker album and wrap it with a more popular one. By this logic, she'll start with Speak Now and then 1989. Same with the remaining albums: Taylor Swift first and close with Reputation (unless she wants to keep TS for last to create some sort of reflective atmosphere on her discography)

I think the line F the patriarch doesn’t fit All Too Well atmosphere, but it totally fits ATW (10 minute version).

I looked at her re-records of Better Man and Babe as her looking back on those feelings and memories. Whereas when she wrote them, and as they were recorded by the other artists, they were still in their moment of that anger and those feelings. Does that make sense? Sort of a closure to those memories.

okok I'm team 1989 because during her most recent interview with jimmy fallon (the video was literally titled something like 'taylors easter eggs have gotten out of control'), she made multiple references including, "If you wanna go down a rabbit hole.. were all mad here" which just screams wonderland tv and I cant wait.

I am not a fan of the 'fuck the patriarchy' line, it would be a fun lyric to sing along to but for me it doesn't belong in ATW, as you said it kind of brings you out of the song a bit Also I agree State of grace and fearless are great openers, I would add Willow is too

1989 holds a very special place in my heart because it came out not long after I went through quite a rough breakup. I was in pain for almost a year and I vividly remember myself listening to “Clean” for a about a year. Hoping that one day it would make sense to me. That day came, of course, and it kind of became my anthem.

I think project acorn is for speak now (because of the squirrel jersey that TS wore in the speak now era). I am hoping for evermore long pond studio sessions but I'm not holding my breath. I personally think Treacherous is about Jake, not Styles (because the sweet disposition line referenced in ATW). I also kinda think that This Love could be about Jake? With 'All You Had to Do Was Stay' referencing back to 'Stay Stay Stay' - idk if that's about Harry or Jake, but I do think they are connected ideas.

I noticed probably like a year ago that on every album (since Red) is song that kinda shows sound of next album: I Knew You Were Trouble, Starlight → 1989, Bad Blood, I Know Places → Reputation, Call It What You Want → Lover, It's Nice To Have A Friend → Folklore + Evermore Songs that could be on other albums: Sparks Fly, - Fearless (Sparks Fly was actually written just few days after she released debut and she performed it in 2007 or 2008. For SN she little changed lyrics and melody, but it still potentially could be on Fearless with slight changes in production) Gorgeous - 1989 Message In The Bottle, The Very First Night (kinda) - 1989 The Best Day, Jump Than Fall - Debut How You Get The Girl - Red (HYGTG sounds like it was made as country song, but then she put pop production on it, probably some of first songs for 1989) I Forgot That You Existed, Cruel Summer - Reputation (with darker production those 2 could easily fit Rep, i'm sure she put them as 1st 2 tracks on Lover because of that vibe) Girl At Home - like you said it would fit on Speak Now so well.

Actually I'm not a big fan of the short film. I mean the video is great visually, and i love the second half, the post breakup scenes, cuz Sadie sink did such an amazing job, but overall the video is very expected, cuz it's literally everything we had imagined in our heads. The fight scene and the end bit with the grown Taylor are the only new elements in the videos story but still overall i think the film goes well with the song but does not add anything to the song. Which is why I won't say it's the best music video Taylor has put out. In contrast, i really loved the I bet you think about me video.

i have a feeling we will get ts10 somewhere in the middle of re-recordings. if she goes at the pace she is going at now, she'll take 2 more years to finish claiming her previous works which means she didn't release anything 'new' for 3 years. ik vault songs are new, but for us. they already existed but never made the album. i think taylor enjoys creating music/ writing songs a lot for her to not put out any new material for 3 years straight. maybe ts13 ( if fearless tv is ts10 and red tv ts11) might be a new album. so what i think is maybe next year we'll get one re-recording and a new album and in '23 we'll get the other 3 albums. cause her debut is mostly not everyone's favourite as it is sooo country. i think she'll give debut the 'evermore' treatment.' also, although i'm rooting for speak now to come next, i think we'll get 1989. like she already dropped wildest dreams so

fearless and speak now are my two favourite albums so I really hope speak now is next so i can stop listening to the old version

8:54 i think ready for it is the best opener (not the best song, just the best opener) because i feel like its reputation in a nutshell. you've got the love song lyrics, the bad bitch tune and elements in the lyrics like "knew he was a killer" and stealing hearts", and also to the twinkly and fluttery tune.

i personally think the only reason she changed girl at home so much is because the original was basically an unfinished song. i have a feeling she always intended for it to be more pop leaning (the new version works SO MUCH BETTER imo), but the label/scott was scared of her putting in too many pop songs so she left it acoustic. she probably thought this was a good opportunity to bring the song to life in the way she always imagined, and i think it works for songs like GAH because as you said, it wasn't really anyone's favourite and it was also on the deluxe version of the album. i do hope she doesn't make TOO many changes to the core material in the future, however i do think it's cool to get a taste of what a certain song may have sounded like if taylor 100% had her way.

I have to say, Holy Ground is also my favorite song and I found it jarringly different. When I first heard it I stopped what I was doing and listened to the two versions side by side over and over. And there's just something missing - rawness... sweetness... something. I'm glad you liked it, but its one of the songs I'll still be listening to the original 🤷🏼‍♀️

I feel similarly about "better man" as you feel about babe, I LOVED the acoustic live version she did back in the day and hoped to hear this raw feeling in her voice for the song but the from the vault version is a lot less emotional unfortunately.

Message In a Bottle is the best new vault track (I say new because All Too Well 10 wasn’t 100% new) and I will die on that hill. I also think it’s about Zac Efron, so that’s a bonus. Also I think 1989 is coming next, especially after watching the IBYTAM music video (there are seagulls on the wedding cake, she turns the white roses red (Alice in Wonderland…Wonderland is a bonus track on 1989)). There were also clues for 1989 in the short film, such as the Mercedes being a 1989 model. But I would be super happy if Speak Now came next too. I kinda think that she’s gonna keep giving us clues for 1989 but release it last just to keep us all hanging because nobody saw Red TV coming back in June.
