For the full original tutorial published before this one, look up "Unreal Engine 5 - Create a desert landscape procedurally". It would be great if credit to UnrealityBites had shown up. His tutorial includes how to make the dune edges sharper, as shown here but not explained.

hey, your dune has a voronoi like noise, coming with sharp tops of dune heights. But when I tried the same, my dune was made up by whole round heights. I am using version 5.3, could there be a specific reason for this?

That's copy of an older Desert landscape tutorial, sir. The nice noise efect you show on the beginning (is it your's?) is lost at the end - sonething's off (secondary landscape-brushes maybe?). Please reference the orifinal tutorial!

I adjusted the dunes by an octave and the dunes are still round without the sharp corners in the video

me too, so I used voronoi noise instead and reduce tiling to get similar results

Nice job copying someone else's tutorial straight down to the values and mats from Quixel, really fun con. Would've been way cooler if you'd actually finished the other tutorial instead of just flaking out halfway through.
