My first car was a 4-spd 1962 2-door Corvair coupe. I put studded snow tires all around and some sand in the trunk and that little car was an absolute beast. I went through snow like a tank. While my friends were getting stuck, I was moving along with no issue. Miss that car!
I’m dying - this one is a dead ringer for my old ‘Vair. Built 10/59. This one’s in much better condition. That gas heater was great. Not only did it have its own ignition coil, it had its own spark plug. Instant heat!
Nice 1960 Chevrolet Corvair model 700 ! The only thing that is not correct on this Corvair is the wheel covers , Those go to a 1960 Monza coupe also a 1 year only wheel cover for the 60 Monza coupe ! & the 60 model 700 sedan was the top of line model , & the 500 was the base model ! This 60 has every option you could get on the 700 except the back up lights ! I use to have a 1960 Model 700 4 door with every option on it ! & the roof line was called a flying buttress were it overhangs at the rear , & my favorite item on her was the gasoline heater ! Another one year only on the 60 Corvair was the 140 C.I. 80 HP engine that got bumped up to a 145 C.I. 90 HP later in 60 with the introduction of the Monza coupe model ! The color of your Corvair is called Cascade Green same color of the one I use to own , I regret selling her ! But I had to make room for a 67 Monza Convertible I bought, & I already had 2 other Corvairs a 64 FC 95 Greenbrier Deuxe , & a 65 Corsa Turbo Charged Coupe which I still own all 3 . IMHO they got everything right on 1960 Corvairs . Thanks for the video .
