Fun fact: the Grumman LLV mail truck designed back in the 1980s to replace the USA's at the time ageing Jeep mail truck fleet used and still uses a GM Iron Duke four banger and a GM 3 speed automatic. Those engines might be underpowered, but they'll last about 1,000,000 miles and then some.

Read an interview about this car. What I gathered, this car is just called the PAS because the team itself did not race for very long like you said.

It'd be great to see more IMSA/Can Am/Trans AM and LM oddities and rarities, not to mention a few more Group A and B rally nuts. A few Pikes Peaks wouldn't go amiss :)

Some info on the Iron Duke ( later called Tech VI ) , in stock form this was 2.5 L . There are race versions called Super Duty that could be had in 2.1 / 2.5 / 2.7 / 3.0 / 3.2 L ( the tall deck 3.0 block was very common in forklifts / boats ) The SD engine was pretty popular in race the Fiero and probably a few other IMSA cars in the day.

Shame that they didn’t make a different version of this with a much better engine, it sounds like this thing could’ve been one of the best race cars out there, who knows if that thing could’ve gone even faster around corners than 110.

Everything about this sounded like it had tons of potential until I heard Iron Duke. Same engine that made the Pontiac Fiero a failure. It's also the same engine US Post Office delivery vehicles use.
