I like ford ls Chevy Pontiac 455 dodge but I hate when people put the wrong motor in the wrong car, I never Hurd one intelligent reason for doing so, I think some people base their favorite on what they grew up with or there role models pushed, I know that's why Fe Ford's hold a place in my heart. The 302 CI engine is one of the most durable engines ever made by any auto manufactuer. An LS swap is inexpensive and not dependable nor is it very powerful. You still have a FORD body FORD rear end and the most trusted most sold performace auto name MUSTANG!! People use their EBT cards to purhase LS motors because they cant afford a real engine. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it!!!!!!!

@@dandunning4409 A real engine? Haha you're laughable. That's why people save thousands of dollars just to accomplish one thing. To go fast. How fast? Depends on how deep ur pockets are. See ls there is no limit to how much you can push out of them. Especially if you're considering over the 1000hp mark. Which is very accomplishable with a ball bearing turbo or a procharger. But some people are cheap to go with the turbo and smart enough like myself to fab up their own intercooler and charge aluminum piping. Especially if you have a decent watercooler TIG welder machine. Plus you dont need stroker kits that have forged stuff you dont need to add arp studs or bolts to hold together the heads. You dont need to mic or grind up piston rings to make crazy amout of hp. Anyway. Getting off track did you know the fastest stock 4.8 ls went 7's in the 1/4? Try that with a stock coyote engine. Fastest based Chevy motor went deep 5's faster than any ford based motor now. I’m turbo LS swapping my 86 four eye notch, it’s sacrilegious I know, but cheap as hell. I’m not just a ford guy, or just a Chevy guy, I’m just a muscle car guy and this combo is cheap proven power.

Carlos Rodriguez coyotes are 100% more reliable in 700+ applications than any non specialty LS engine. It’s just cheaper and the design is older so people know how to build them more commonly.

I build engines professionally and yes the coyote is far more reliable under boost and lives a lot longer but 2x the price to build over an ls. I often tell customers that if you can't blueprint then ls swap. If vvt, vct, sohc and dohc is too complicated then you really shouldn't be building an engine. Run a junkyard 5.3 get a few paases on an ebay turbo set up and blow it up. Repeat the process lol. Thats ls culture

Carlos Rodriguez lmao you’re not even making sense. I have both a C6 and a 5.0. You’re out of your mind if you think any of the non specialty LS will hold anything more than 700 wheel. Meanwhile I’d be comfortable with a boosted gen 2 coyote at 850 all day.

Actually modular engines because of the way they are built you can get big block power out of a smaller engine you don’t need a big block for big block power the coyote if done right can put out as much power as a 10l engine they may be expensive to buy but they pay for themselves and if you want really big power and you’re not building a streetcar the gen x coyote all motor has been breaking world records and doing it all motor it does cost about 33,000 dollars but like I said it pays for itself you’ll win back all the money you spent with interest and because the gen x coyote is made completely out of titanium it’ll last longer than any crap ls engine will ls engines are absolute cheap garbage you’ll spend 1 million dollars in 1 year just rebuilding the ls engine every week in one year and it doesn’t pay for itself it doesn’t put out as much power as the coyote can and it’s limited to way less hp than the coyote is and it’s slower by a long shot pushrod engines are limited to a certain hp so then to have big block power you will have to have a big block but the coyote is one stop shop because you can get big block power out of a smaller package

Guys that love Chevy enough to use the engine but not enough to use the car with it. They all make power though. Also many have this delusion that only a Ls can make power. Which anyone with sense knows is false. Once you get into fully built engines. It doesn't matter who the manufacturer is. It's more about who's building it.

Turd Ferg I mean my buddy dailys his slightly newer Fox vert with a similar wheel tire setup. It’s only bolt ons,stock head cams and only runs like high 12s. Maybe are in fact not that fast but I get your point.

Unique Auto Labs I think the coyote is a far superior engine don’t get me wrong the LS motor is a beast very easy to build cheap reliable just a find a decent used coyote you’re looking at a couple thousand dollars. Watch LS vs Coyote shootout , I think it was engine masters builds both motors for 10k. Obv the LS won but the coyote made much more power per cubic inch. If the coyote engine wasn’t so expensive and harder to build there would be a lot more coyote swapped builds for sure

ShartingFish well kind of. The base design is GM but it’s obviously been built and retrofitted. It’d be like saying all SBC make 2000 HP because you saw one with stupid amounts of money put into it make that type of power.

Brian spangler pretty sure the manual from the terminator will handle it.. the C6 would handle it too.. though i doubt the Turbo400 handled that without a rebuild.. and some upgrades..
