Unusual and Wonderful Grave Stones - Cave Hill Cemetery 

Hubby & I are concentrating a green burial. No open caskets, no embalming, just a simple pine box. The last one to go, will have a pine tree planted between us as a marker, we will be together, tucked safely under the low branches of the tree, here in Michigan. 💖🌲

I looove the cemetery visits. The grave statue of the girl being held up on a swing by Jesus about made me bawl. So much love there. The contrast of the other cemetery also made me want to cry, but due to the lack of love. Sad deal, that. Great job Jacob!

Hey Jacob. Just a little information for you. Eastern Cemetery is cared for by volunteers. Don’t quote me on it , but I believe a few months ago someone stole their lawn equipment. They have a few people that help out with the care and trying to clean stones. Also, the little girl on the swing with Jesus above her ... passed away at a very young age. Her favorite song was Jesus loves me. Her parents had the statue made of her likeness. Lastly , the grave with the diary was of a young woman whom did a lot of work with children and I believe she did some mission work. I can’t remember how she passed, but she was in her teens. Due to her dedication to children and the lord ... her parents had this made. The diary is actual passages that she wrote. I can try and get you more information. I wish you were there when the office was open. They will give you a pamphlet on some other famous graves. For example : the lady that wrote The Happy Birthday song. Most of the statues etc are from a local artist. There is also a grave with glass made by Tiffany ( yes like the lamps). Nice video.

Yes!! You said Louisville correctly!!😂😂 Glad to see you come down this way! Btw, my nephews Boy Scout troop has been volunteering at the second grave site recently. They have been lifting stones and digging a few that sunk in. There are military veterans there too. So sad to see how long the cemetery has been neglected.

thank you!!! as for eastern , there is a group that gathers and cleans the cemetery. unfortunately, all their equipment was stolen last fall. Now they meet and bring what they can to do the job. it' s better then what it was. But, it's rumoured to be haunted.

At least when a cemetery is abandoned the bodies stay buried. There are videos about abandoned mausoleums that are falling apart and the bodies there are vulnerable.

I discovered your videos about a year ago when you went to go see the donkey lady bridge I was just looking for creepy videos at that time but I discovered your series and I fallen in love with it ever since I’m a truck driver so I get to see a lot of these wacky attractions especially the thing in New Mexico I believe but I never get to go there because of my large trailers one day I hope to do a trip around the US to revisit all the places I could never go keep up the good work!!!

They found that one of our local hospitals did that with cadavers and body parts at one of our 4 local cemeteries here. The hospital got fined BIG time!

The one with Jesus holding the swing has me conflicted because the parents of that little girl didn’t communicate as to who was watching her and so she was by herself and fell/drowned in a swimming pool. As a parent I feel a certain weird way about that

The 1st was excellent and really the art sculpture expressions of love of God and the departed. The 2nd cemetery my concern was we’re they buried to rise to the left? It appears a mass dumping of bodies the wonder of was it a Christian manner funeral is over. Sad.

I like to look at old grave stones, but this gentleman move too fast and his camera wasn't steady.

I'm a great believer in cremation on the cheap, we've had our time on this earth so why use all that space for graves and headstones, if like me you're just an ordinary person, once the first generation of your family have died off thats it, no one will be visiting your grave anytime soon so you're basically in the way. It may sound cold and harsh but thats the way things are at the moment. Has anyone reading this been to their grandparents grave recently, be honest unless you were raised by your grandparents the answer is probably not. That's why I'm leaving my body parts for organ transplants and my grave marker in my children's memories plus they won't be fleeced by those funeral homes, they are the parasites who took the fun out of funeral. I say fun because it should be a celebration of your life not the sad passing of your death. RIP remembered in pleasure.
