Showing the physical movement of the units does a lot to improve gameplay, particularly if they can be blocked along the way. Great job on this discovery.

When Vic3 was announced I was very worried about the warfare mechanics, but this should be a change for the better.

More improvements to the warfare and economy system are ALWAYS WELCOME! No matter how small the improvements

It's great that they've added the slider for changing fleets and armies - it was too tedious in the beta to select unit by unit. The only downside to the slider is that you can no longer select units by culture (or was that broken?). It is also good to see the overall stats of the enemy and your own army on the map.

We can see those troops and animations on the terrain, this is a good update until now!

I put this game down after 30 hours a year ago. I'm really excited to come back. The economy system mixed with decent warfare eill be awesome, hopefully...

I really hope paradox continues to keep its eyes over the military aspect of the game, enhancing it, because it deserves (and make sense to) to be an important part of the game (and a fun part of the game to play). When the game was announced, the warfare aspect was really boring.

if I were gonna need tutorial on this game its the Economy part. that part of the game is the most confusing one especially those convoy deficit when you have multiple subjects.

Did they fix the issue were if you have allies with hundreds of useless conscript units stealing all the battles from your 3x stat'd up general with a much much better and balanced army. I remember back at release the game constantly prioritized the large stack of useless AI ally conscripts over your tech'd up professional army it would make easy wars take like 20 minutes as the two AI armies of conscripts would constantly smash themselves against each other even though I had and army with an attack order that would wipe the floor with them in minutes. The other changes looked good though, I particularity love the ability to craft the army instead of them being enslaved to what ever general is from their region. If you care I made a video about the 5 things that caused me to drop the game. Most changes I mentioned were fixed by this update so good on you for that, 1 or 2 of them might be outdated complaints now, but what i mentioned above was one thing the video didnt mention and it was on my list.

Looks like it might be time to dive back into Vicky 3. Good timing too, I was feeling like getting Cities Skylines 2 but it still appears to have issues.

The naval system has been so barebones that i would hardly call it a naval system. Its so weird to me that they could not just use the system from hearts of iron.. That naval system is pretty perfect imo

1:49 What sense does it make to build more barracks? heck, Eu4 atleast had manpower as a means to show the population drafted for war. The problem is that in this showcase, Brittain have all the resources it needs (via colonies). Try playing as Sweden for instance and see how easy that is.

This DLC is amazing! I can now spend more hours micromanaging my fleets while scrolling down the UI and individually clicking the boats I need. Great decision to release the strategic army decision making as part of a DLC! I never thought of this when I played the base game. For the past 13 months, obviously I've been playing, I enjoyed my armies advance into strategic insignificant directions.

Well still no unit management or a system like in HOI4 where i can place division with models on frontlines and draw plans one them should exist. I guess step into the right direction but from my pov not enough unfortunately.

So like when are updates gonna be free again?
